have honored those ideals. i fear that we have become so successful, that we are forgetting how important liberty is today. but hopefully, people across the country will remember that. think about what is going on in canada with the freedom convoy and killing those ideas and killing the people protest. just oppose the ideals that we hold so strongly. it really does drive home the point how great this country is. >> i think it is important to remember and reflect on all the presidents whether you like them and their policies are not because they have shaped the united states and what it is today. and now, like trey gowdy said of me wonders if washington would even consider running. that brings me to another point. i mean, one day more than and the people that we are giving the option for voting for the only option? i would rather have a leader in someone more concerned about the

that russian commanders have been given the orders to invade ukraine. so with that in mind, what is the mood? in kiev right now? how concerned are the people on the ground right there and the russian invasion? >> thank you for having me, early. last week in spite of all the u.s. reports of u.s. and patient aids, human intelligence about mortars so it's not hard to be a little skeptical maybe it's not correct but in any case, people are getting more nervous, myself included, but the moves made with the technical groups and some actions they have made and the region. >> what are you hearing on the ground what a full station full scale invasion would look like? >> this massive event, other than russian before and key of

the last ten years come i don't believe that is the case. but you know, russia and kiev is historically the roots of the region started in kiev. so the idea they would destroy the city come i don't believe that personally from any kind of conflict and conflict starts with things to get out of control. that is why i move my family to the west of ukraine. >> you evacuated your wife, stepdaughter and daughter out of kiev, but they are still in a safer location. you decided to stay behind, but why is that? >> there is a lot of things here, my clients rely on me to be here and so until it gets that bad where i have to get out, i have to stay here and employees rely on me also. they need to make money and feed their families. so i didn't feel like the threat level was high by me personally getting out.

i wanted to make sure my family was close enough to the european borders just in case. if i have to leave, it would be devastating. but at this point, i do not believe it is a concern. >> there is this back and forth between ukraine and the west. president zelensky wants the united states to impose sanctions now. that does not appear with the biden administration is going to do. take a look at this back and forth over the weekend. take a watkech a watch. >> you are telling me 100% that in a couple of days, what are you waiting for? apply sanctions today. >> the tanks are rolling and the planes and the air. we will try everything we possibly can to get president putin to reverse the situation he has made. >> and with volodymyr zelensky, antony blinken, what do you make of the u.s. strategy on the front? >> went to say i don't see much of a strategy. just surprising because there's been this conflict for eight

years with russia and things like that. so a plan in case he got more tense, the troops on the border. but it seems a very mixed messaging and we stand with ukraine one day and the next day pulling out the whole embassy to the west. the people understand but officially getting everybody out, moving embassy to the city where my family is and other embassies and companies and to russia itself is saying the u.s. stance with ukraine but not really. not even bring sanctions like they said. 100% guaranteed, no cheating on the table, but they are not doing it. so not much credibility from my point of view and a strategy. >> i think a lot of people can understand where you're coming with that. the biden administration's perspective the threat of sanctions should be use as a deterrence but if they impose that now it would be a reason

for putin to invade. but you are sagging, you see it different. >> yeah, for sure. some sanctions to give them a taste of what is coming. and all of the sanctions, everything right away so i don't really understand the reasoning behind that. >> you have to wonder what vladimir putin's and game is. he said that he wants written assurances that ukraine will never be admitted to nato. so that will never happen. how do you see this playing out? >> like i said before, i lived in russia. talking to them as well. nobody i know wants to have and they think it would be an act of a mad man. so vladimir putin i'm i think at the end of the day, towards the people to really know what they are going to do and everyone else, just waiting like everyone. >> waiting, waited on bated breath i'm sure it feels like that in ukraine and here as

make crime and illegal can. voters told about criminal justice but it is worse than that. 2014 they call this the state neighborhood when in fact, what happened was the most predictable thing in the world. we remove the consequence for stealing and what do you know, it caused more stealing. under prop 47, you can go into a store and still $950 worth of merchandise and cannot be a charge of felony. not even a slap on the wrist. what they will do, and i'm not making this up, they will go in with calculators, add up how much stuff they are stealing and as long as under $950 they will waive to the security camera on the way out because nothing will happen to them. they go to the next door and do the same thing and these graduate to higher offenses which coordinate with unbelievable smash and grab and go out in the open and ransacked the stores. >> ashley: i want to pull up this poll the majority of people in california they want to see

prop 47 change, 59% amended, 39% would leap in unchanged. this is a poll of a little under 9,000 voters. but it is promising to see these numbers? >> it is very promising and californians are absolutely fed up. and they actually say to get a vote on the bill and the radical legislature is getting the message that we need to swing the pendulum back to public safety. you have san francisco and nguyen numbers and walgreens say we will not do business there anymore and can't afford to give away stuff for free. you have people leaving california in record numbers as well. the point literally last year. the rising crime rates are a big part of it, plus, the overall lawlessness that we are seeing throughout california. >> according to a survey 2121

surveyed the national retail federation reported l.a. and san francisco bay area is the top two cities for organized retail theft, which obviously a problem. this is the last question i have for you but obviously didn't get it passed first and it will go to gavin newsom. what do you think that will look like? the radical left starting to realize this is a problem. how do you think that will go over? >> even newsom has taken token measures and acknowledging a problem. but my argument, let's give voters a chance to weigh in on this. they have been living in a prop 47 world. and let's give them a chance to reassess on the ballot in november. by the way, the laws of insanity at the capitol, kevin kiley is wrong, this could be a turning point for the state. and as they say, what happens in california often for better or worse spreads to the rest of the country. >> it really does and has spread to other areas especially the state.

deserve a fair playing field and these girls are not getting that. i started speaking up when i was faced with the situation in 2018. i have not -- even though i was told to be quiet about it. it turns out my daughter ended up running the first high school race also against the biological male identifying as female. my take on it is we predicted this would happen. this is the end of female sports and that is not an exaggeration. we are witnessing it right now. >> i was going to ask you about the transparency competing on the high school level like your mom said. you competed against a biological male and came in second place. what was that experience like for you? >> my first ever high school track meet my wound up running the race 400 meters, and i had to race against a male body athlete. i feel like incredibly distressed, crying on the field because they knew they would be displaced by the athlete. i came in second during my race,

and it was incredibly disappointing to see how hard i worked and only ended up getting second when otherwise i would have gotten first. >> cynthia you alluded to this in your first answer, people are telling you not to talk about this. there are athletes coming out anonymously against lia thomas competing with other women because they are afraid of what might happen to their career. and there are others not speaking up at all out of fear of being canceled or losing scholarships where things like that, career opportunities. how big of an issue is the censorship and all of this? >> yes, that is a really big issue, actually. even though i really encourage these girls who are women faced with is to be brave and walk away from the competition, this is the only way we will get a restatement word i believe at this point. we are being told to be quiet. i know that is a difficult

situation for them to be in so i understand, however, i would just encourage all females and everyone who is passionate about this issue to think of that word "brave" and future generation of girls. another gold medal is not worth it to me as much as standing up for my daughter and everyone else's daughter. >> margaret, you are in high school speaking out when i'm sure some people your age would not out of fear. like we were just talking about, how has your message been received among your other classmates? >> i think my peers have been supportive of me because they know how hard i work and how determined i am. i'm a junior in high school and i hope to run track in college but if this continues, i can be denied scholarships and college. >> you have to wonder what the solution is because people who support lia thomas you feel bad about singling her out because she has one person.

she is young and you want to be fair to all athletes but at the same time she has become the face of controversy. people who support her say she shouldn't have to compete against men because she has taken hormone therapy so that wouldn't be fair to her about her competing with women also not fair to the other women in the sport. so what is the solution here? >> well, you know, i'm not the policymaker about what i do know is the bottom line biological bodied male athletes cannot be in the same category as female athletes. we know there is still a hormonal advantage. i just say hey come if they don't want a separate category, make a separate category for a biological female so that we can also get the accolades, the scholarships that we deserve and that is what title ix was all about. >> i hear you there. i think the message is speaking to a lot of people. cynthia and margaret, we appreciated.

you have this issue with supply chain and getting the boxes of girl scout cookies this whole year since the window opened up for people to buy these boxes of coveted cookies? >> yes, we actually have had issues, specifically with some i was, and the new cookie. we have lost sales and my daughter has lost sales towards her goal. >> carley: i'm ashamed to say i had my first bite last night and delicious. so hopefully we can get the boxes rocking and rolling again. some of the bakery supplying the girl scout cookies that they are experiencing delays in california, connecticut, new hampshire, new york, texas. cosette okker i want to ask you this question. how does this make you feel? as a girl scout, people look forward to this and then you walk into the grocery stores and the little girls will have their

boxes of cookies to sell but have you been able to do that the storefront to sell these cookies or have you missed out on that this year? >> it's been a little challenging just because people only want certain cookies, and they specifically asked for samoans and the new cookies and when i say i don't have them but they leave. it is a little disappointing when i talk to customers. >> carley: how many boxes of cookies have you been able to get your hands on? >> i would say a few cases and there are about 12 boxes in each case. >> carley: has this deterred your customers at all? have people said, we will just wait or get them somewhere else if they can't get those particular cookies, and is that affecting you the amount of money you are collecting, by chance? >> yes because we are trying to
