11:01 pm
york city. a 4-year-old boy punched in the face at random by a repeat violent criminal. how are the no bail laws working out? we are keeping an eye on canada where trudeau is squashing all dissent. first, russia is rolling into the eastern part of the country. putin is calling the incursion a peace-keeping mission in support of the russian separatists. in reality, nothing could be further from the truth. beginning of a prolonged and bloody war. the largest invasion in europe since hiltler's rein of terror.
11:02 pm
joe biden made a bold declaration: vladimir putin doesn't want me to be the nominee because i am the only person who went toe to toe. turns out joe was everything putin did want and more. putin watched as biden abandoned the green card holders in afghanistan in the most shameful and chaotic way possible. >> day 191. >> sean: 204 days since joe promised he would not abandon americans. they are still trapped behind enemy lines. putin watched as biden refused to hold china accountable for the spread of covid-19.
11:03 pm
the crackdowns in hong kong, the wieger community and forced labor campus. and biden lifted all sanctions on russia's nord stream-2 pipeline while crippling our pipeline in the u.s. putin announced his intentions months ago back on july 12th declairing his lust for ukraine during a long, deranged, rambling paper of his. equipment were amassing at ukraine a border for a year and biden failed to turn the screws. he failed to reimpose sanctions until today.
11:04 pm
they are pathetic with 2 measly economic limits in eastern ukraine. too little and too late. and moscow doesn't give an adam schiff about sanctions. the u.s. won't get into a shooting war with ukraine, nor should we. americans will pay a steep financial costs, and putin has a good shot at breaking up nato as a result of this and our western european allies because of joe's energy policies rely on that hostile actor for the lifeblood of their economy. the price of a barrel of oil is very high at $94 per barrel. a war between two massive oil production companies in europe price could shoot through the roof. some people expect it to go higher than $150 a barrel.
11:05 pm
you will for that. too bad president biden took a wrecking ball to the u.s. oil and gas production in this country. independence. donald trump left this country as a net exporter of energy. biden disrupted new exploration and development options and suspended new explorations and lifted sanctions on russia's north street to pipeline. it is not a revelation to declare the abiding administration tend to phase out the u.s. oil and gas industry, but it is astonishing to see how quickly it's moving to accomplish this while sending production abroad to producers in russia and the middle east. and by the way, he's been

begging opec and importing from russia. it's unbelievable. under donald trump, we were a net exporter of oil and gas. now we are at the mercy of russia. opec and middle east and what venezuela next? look at your screen. joe is making russia and the hostile regime or russia and the actor putin rich again. in europe the situation is worse. look at this. 32% of germany's gas comes from russia. how tough do you think germany can be relying on putin? as i've said many, many times, america, we have no business fighting the corrupt country of ukraine and their wars. but if the u.s. decided to do this same thing to mexico or canada or cuba, to fight putin,
11:07 pm
there is a way to fight him and defeat him, there is a way to bring russia to its knees. that would be a mass production in this country of our vast natural resources of oil, gas would be critical. now you want to deter vladimir putin? flood the market with american energy. cut his profits and wreck russia's economy and supply our western european allies with all of their energy needs. joe biden cares more about aoc, her green new deal, and climate change and he's checked out. a few hours ago, joe biden said he is out and done and not saying anymore for the day. presumably he retired to his private quarters, had his ice cream and went night-night.

with the latest out of a fast developing situation, hear coverage has been superb all day jen griffin. this is serious. >> sean, how we got to this point is a long story and administration. it include mistakes made by every united states president since the soviet union fell apart. putin has been laying the ground work to retake ukraine for years. we are where we are tonight with europe on the edge of war. a sovereign country. ukraine being invaded by the expanded of power by the leader who rose to power 20 years ago and never let go. the president of finland knows putin well and said something changed in putin who is growing increasingly paranoid. his own words says he has his sights set on all of ukraine and not just the donbas. putin's speech to the nation a chilling distorted history
11:09 pm
lesson outlining why he did not believe that ukraine has the right to exist as a separate nation. it was almost verbatim what putin said in a 12 page speech back on july 12, 2021, which he sent to his armed forces entitled "on the historical unity of russia and ukrainians." this was a cold and calculated speech today like those delivered on the eve of world war ii before hitler invaded poland. we are now on an escalation letter. putin will want to see the response from the u.s. and its allies. that are coming. the president said u.s. troops won't be sent to fight in ukraine. the kind of blitzkrieg invasion that most senior u.s. officials believe is coming will have many unintended consequences and should be of concern to every american. sean. >> sean: jennifer, this is your wheel house.
11:10 pm
comments relating to nato and our western european allies that rely on russian, oil, gas, and energy. germany for one. that puts them in a weakened position to stay united against putin. does it not? >> well, putin can wait them out. he has $638 billion of reserves because the price of oil has been so high. it's one of the reasons he has moved right now. angela merkel made a huge mistake getting rid of nuclear power plants in germany and making them more dependent on russian oil and gas. so, yes, europe has a problem. it depends on russian energy supplies. that will have to change now that people see what putin is capable of. >> sean: thank you. ground in ukraine tonight our own lucas. what is going on?
11:11 pm
remaining american diplomats in this western ukrainian city fled the country. making the u.s. withdrawal of ukraine complete. "we are not afraid of anything and anyone. we don't owe anything to anyone. we won't give anything to anyone." but on the ground many ukrainians are afraid and very nervous that a potential large scale russian invasion of this country. as jen griffin mentioned this is a crisis over 30 years in the making. accepted that ukraine and russia are different nations. he is starting in eastern ukraine with the 2 separatists regions in donbas. ukrainians disagree with putin. majority want to be part of the majority union and nato. when nato bombed serbia, putin thought moscow could be next.
11:12 pm
now, this year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the soviet union, ukrainians here tonight thank putin wants to put it back together. >> sean: amazing he went after lenin and previous leaders of russia in the process. we will watch closely as the days ahead unfold. thank you for being with us. here with more from the white house peter doocy is with us. i found it somewhat weak and embarrassing the minor sanctions on the two providences we are discussing. i didn't understand the white house saying we are sending 3,000 troops over to europe and putting 8,500 troops on a heightened state of preparedness. what exactly would that do and what would that mean? absolutely nothing. was that for show? >> not sure if it was for show, but it was interesting to
11:13 pm
see president biden who cancelled a trip to delaware for president's day to stay off camera all day long. meetings with the secretary of state and the intel chief. the only time we saw him was a tweet they put out where he was signing those very limited sanctions that do not really go as far as they promised. were going to be swift and severe consequences for russian aggression is going to announce some new sanctions tomorrow on moscow. him they are trying to get everybody on board. he has been working the phones trying to get a bunch of allies to sign on to the statement with him. something very interesting, as we have been hearing from the president for months that russian aggression like today would be unacceptable. now we are seeing from senior administration officials what
11:14 pm
they did today, recognized the breakaway regions as independent of ukraine and moving russian military equipment in there, they don't consider that to be a new invasion because there were russians in there anyway. since 2014. that's what we are hearing tonight. we are told tomorrow more is coming. >> sean: that's like the 2 a.m. flights with the illegal immigrants called an early morning flight. illegal immigrants don't need to get tested for covid because they won't be here long. those kind of answers? >> something else that is extraordinary from a practical point. we are here at a federal workplace on a federal holiday. for most of the day it felt like it. we know they had high-level meetings, but this is not a situation where they mobilized all the staff to get everybody
11:15 pm
in. it's not something i can see. it's not like the things that happened late at night in eastern europe and overnight has the president working much later than usual. he's taken the rest of the days meetings from the residency suite. >> sean: i bet he is sleep. thank you very much. here with reaction author of war by other means, a general in the trump white house. lt. col. keith kellogg and former cia station chief dan hoffman. russia and his intentions. some americans are asking: why should we care? ukraine from what i can see has been over a long period of time a corrupt country in their own way.
11:16 pm
russia is a hostile regime. here's my fear. artificially reducing the world supply of energy and oil and our western european allies dependent on that hostile regime, now they are pushed into the arms of putin and are unable to stand together with us to do anything that would be effective to push putin back or even create a disincentive for him. >> yeah, that's certainly one concern. we are witnessing russia's efforts to destroy ukraine's independence and alarm bells ought to be ringing in the white house. those sanctions they are talking about in the breakaway region just aren't enough. if russia takes ukraine, you have their control over the black sea which has impact on
11:17 pm
our nato ally, turkey. there is a $15 trillion gdp. the russians aren't going to stop at ukraine. they want to push back at our nato members in the baltic states, for example. this is russia's war on democracy. one thing we know about the united states, we should remember the words of ronald reagan: we are a bright shining city on a hill. if we don't stand up for democracy and that's what ukraine has been striving for, that's why they are next essential threat to russia, then we don't stand for anything much at all. >> sean: let me ask you this. why is it that this happened in administration and not in the trump administration and now it's happening again. do you have a strong belief why that is? >> yes, sean, i do. weakness and opportunity. when you look at this administration and the
11:18 pm
vice-president. it's a constant pattern of weakness. putin is a former kgb officer and saw the decision-making done in afghanistan. and looks back on the what biden when biden was vice-president he was the guy in the situation room that didn't want to go voted "no" not to conduct the raid. the same guy that secretary gates said has been wrong on every national security decision in the last 40 years. he sees a partner of weakness. when he says this is an opportunity he says this is an opportunity i won't have in 3 years in 2024. i might as well as take my shot now. when president trump was in
11:19 pm
office, he was resolute and unpredictable. he kept adversaries on their back foot. he would do things that would surprise people and adversaries will look at him and say look, this might happen to me. right after he came into office we went into syria with the attack missiles after assad used nerve gas on civilians. said was a red line. we hit the airlifted and russia was on that air field. we were protecting americans and keeping the adversaries on their heels. you said we moved our embassy to poland that came out of kyiv. i remember when our embassy was under attack in baghdad. in the situation room, there was president trump who clearly told
11:20 pm
us, he said simply we would not lose that embassy. we should have said the same thing in kyiv. our people are staying, period. >> sean: it's amazing how joe biden's economic and energy policies hurt our economy. inflation. we see nearly a dollar 50 more per gallon gasoline. everything we buy in every store costs more to deliver it dollar and costs us a lot more. the cost of heating our homes and cooling in the summer will be dramatically higher. now on the foreign policy front. this to me is where putin, give him credit for being clever, sees an opportunity to break down the nato alliance.
11:21 pm
it seems like he is playing chess and joe is playing checkers and listening to the new green deal socialists. >> putin has a number of strategic goals. one is to subdue us, and that is what he is doing in ukraine. secondly is to ensure ukraine never becomes a western oriented democracy to threaten putin's own ridging. and third, it is to drive a wedge between the united states and our nato allies, and that is particularly germany. where this administration failed this is a question of hard power. no surprise here. vladimir putin put those troops on the border back in april of last year, and we did nothing about it. even though president zelensky begged the biden administration to do more and mount pre-emptive sanctions to get russia to withdraw troops.
11:22 pm
we never did that, and now we are seeing the results of vladimir putin having had the time to gauge our responses, to gauge how damaging our economic measures could be against him and what measures we could have brought to bear. >> sean: you believe his territorial ambitions go way beyond that, right? >> he launched all sorts of attacks against the baltic states, and incursions into their air space like what china does to taiwan. china and taiwan they are watching this very, very closely. the united states we would not leave behind a few thousand troops in afghanistan to prevent that country from being a terrorist state. >> sean: president xi will reunify with taiwan knowing that joe biden won't lift a finger. i don't think we should be involved in a shooting war, but
11:23 pm
i believe economically we could do great damage to putin and should. it's our best interest to be energy independent again. still ahead, kamala harris embarrassed herself on the world stage. we will show you the tape. tulsi gabbard has strong words and justin trudeau a putin-wannabe in canada going after every trucker that was peacefully protesting. that and more as we continue.

11:28 pm
rambling answer, falsely claiming that europe has been at peace for 70 years. take a look. >> we still sincerely hope there is a diplomatic path out of this moment. the window is still open. although it's narrowing. within the context of a diplomatic path still being open. the deterrent effect we believe still has merit. listen guys, we are talking about the potential for war in europe. let's really take a moment to understand the significance what have we are talking about. it's been over 70 years with peace and security. >> sean: and of course it got worse from there. harris said sanctions would deter putin but saying putin already made his mind made up to
11:29 pm
invade ukraine. a baffling contradiction. so which is it? ask yourself. what is all this turmoil going to do to energy costs around the world, rising energy gas prices, 40 year high of inflation, some economists thinking it could go to $150 per barrel. did the biden team have any solutions or answers? here with reaction former hawaii congresswoman tulsi gabbard with us. said she believes sanctions on russia would deter putin, and on the other hand talks about when america stands for principles we hold dear we put ourselves out there to incur costs. we are already paying a buck 50 more for gasoline? now we're going to pay $3 more? >> yeah, sean. i want to focus on those two points. this is embarrassing. it's hard to keep track of all of those jumble of words.
11:30 pm
it's clear she was sent there to be the voice of the united states as a purely political calculation. you and i both know she has no foreign policy background or understanding. she has no concept of the cost of war nor does she have the temperament necessary to be the voice of united states on the global stage. it is embarrassing to see this play out. i want to talk about the two examples you raised. she talked about deterrent and sanctions. how do you deter someone by punishing them before they do it? this is kind of like grade school understanding. but do something, the kid would say i might as well as do it anyway. this is not rocket science. and talking about incurring costs. kamala harris and joe biden have both said we are going to it incur a cost.
11:31 pm
they won't pay the price. they are multi-multi-millionaires. they won't be negatively impacted. you know who will pay the price? it's hard-working americans across the country and people around the world who are already paying the price and will continue to see things worsen. this energy and gas crisis. raising prices. we will see those continue to go up and that squeeze happening across the country and around the world. russia is a major exporter of wheat. we will see those costs increased around food. russia is a major exporter of nickel, an element of the electric vehicle industry. the list goes on and on for the people will have to pay and the impacts on the global economy. so really what they should be saying is not we are going to
11:32 pm
incur costs, they should be looking at the american people and saying you know what, you are going to pay the price for this, and yet they have not once justified to the american people how their policies and their actions actually serve our best interest. how they serve our national security interests, how they serve our economic interests. they have failed to do that. the american people will be left holding the bag. >> sean: i want to be clear. i absolutely, positively, do not believe in any way that the united states should be involved in this conflict, but i do believe that joe biden's energy and economic policies created all of this. a40 year high of inflation, on average about $1.50 more per gallon, everything we pay for costs more. add to that this situation where because we artificially reduced the world's supply of energy that, forced our allies into
11:33 pm
putin's hands and he controls their destiny. you had an interesting theory if only biden said no ukraine will never be a part of nato you think we might have been able to prevent things that way. explain that part. >> it's really just looking at the world through a very realistic lens. it's understanding the world that we live in and not the world that maybe some people wish existed. that reality is putin made clear all along, their security in his mind is what is at stake here. >> sean: i don't want to interrupt you but putin said ukraine is not a country. he has been saying this one back many, many years. >> i want to stay focussed on the security component. they go way back. they pre-exist this moment we are facing. with regards to u.s. and nato like we would not want russia to
11:34 pm
put their tanks and missiles on our borders. russia said i don't want u.s. and nato making their military on our borders with ukraine. guess what, the united states doesn't that want either. nato countries don't want that. so why not recognize and say this is something that is actually common ground, it is highly unlikely ukraine will ever become a member of nato, let's take it off the table and that would immediately de-escalate these tensions and take that reasoning away from putin for him to build up this presence on the ukrainian border. suspicious than you in believing this is person for putin and he is taking this as this is russian land and we will take it. how far he goes i don't know. you are speaking at c-pac. i was going to be there at a conference, i'm not able to go, but congratulations and i look forward to watching your speech. >> thank you. >> sean: thank you for being with us. coming up, justin trudeau's tyranny in canada

>> well, sean, this is about people feeling completely ignored. this trucker convoy is about them saying things that other people were afraid to say. like parents in northern virginia were staying things that other people were wanting to say. 2016 is about voters looking for the biggest middle finger to say things other people wanted to say, and so on people like justin trudeau and joe biden ignore people and tell people to sit down and shut up, it becomes more about a trucker convoy. if it happens in washington, d.c., it will be interesting to see whether or not the d.c. leadership welcomes these truckers like they did the defund police crowd, but they will probably ignore them and treat them the same way they did in canada come with the same way as he mentioned today many times, the same way joe biden ignored the issue in regards to the keystone pipeline and
