russia as very big country and land mass wise, it is. it is an economically depressed country. reports say it has economy the size of belgium, why wait until russia acts? why did we not do it proactively? i understand the point and heard it, this is putin's birth right. he think its is divine destiny to reunite russia the way it was prior to the early '90s. he does have to answer to people. if those people are depraved, they are going to revolt against their leader, who is vladamir putin. we could have done something significant with regard to sanctions, hit russia hard and did it is opposite. we eliminate any leverage we had with the nord stream 2 pipeline, we gave putin that same leverage

he said he was going to do this. now it's happening. what do you make of the situation and the fact that these criminals are still getting off pretty easily? >> that's what happens when you have states that essentially have one party rule in new york and california and elsewhere. also what happens when you adopt felony coddling policies under criminal justice reform. it isn't criminal justice reform. if you want criminal justice reform put career criminals and thugs behind bars and keep them there and protect the law abides and decent citizens of your states. what needs to be asked why these liberal d.a.s, democrats are so beholden to the thugs, the felons and the criminals and not beholden to the citizen these are supposed to protect. that is the question that needs to be asked. i'm not sure we will get an answer. it begs the question and more people need to ask it. >> todd: "the washington post" editorial board no fly list for
