12:01 am
help is on the way in november. but no, i can't i can't wait tos watch pets tomorrow. all right. haveea a good show. all right. i'm laura and this ise" ingraham angle from washington tonight . now as the biden administration beats the war drums in ukrainest ,they're actively gutting our military with these vaccine mandates v. we're going to speak to one former west point cadet who was forced out. and speaking of biden, he wants you to pay higher gas prices. yes. and they're going up, up, up. steven miller and congressman jim banks are here to explain what's happening. and there's an eight way contest for the gop nomination in the pennsylvania senate race. we're going to speak to one of the candidates later on in the hour. but first, biden's new boogeyman. >> that's the focus of tonight's @ngel. >> now the bush administration is on the ropes. a short and i just talked about and it's going to use just about any possible excuse it can find to change the subject
12:02 am
and then silence its critics. now let's just walk past down memory lane first they use the riots of january six as a justification to fence off the capitol with razor wire. they didth this for several months, by the way, costingen us tens of millions of dollars. i don't even think we know the final amount the fbi treated ordinary citizens who weren't part of any violence at all at the capitol as dangerous insurrectionists and domestic terroristse. second, they use covid to villainize medicalli professionals who were actually treating covid patients who alsolsctua saw rigt through tony fauci bureaucratic blather and the cherry picked data. remember our medicine cabinetkd for two years that lockdowns we're just going to prolong the pandemic and closing the schools is going to end up destroying kids lives. esdoctors who questioned biden and all of the medical experts that were touted on television every day from the left well, er
12:03 am
the doctors who actually knew what they were doing had their livelihoods threatenedho. in the end, though, we were right and the mandates are finally being lifted. now obviously neither of those topicscs work to turn americans attention away from biden's mounting domestic problems of crime, inflation, high energy prices and an open border. a wall of opposition building against democrats nationwide. now remember virginia parents? they elected glennou youngkin after saying that the teachers unions were really the ones in charge in education and in that world, aristotle loses out to ibram kennedy and george washington is just not as important as george floyd. now this is going to flatten the democrats this fall and i think k they know it. so this leaves democrats with no other choicesle this election season but to goct with a golden oldie. so forget about the gas closingp in on five bucks a gallon because russia's on the move
12:04 am
united in our understanding of the urgency and seriousness of the threat russia is making to global peace and stability. this is the greatest threat to security in europe since world war two. ukraine iss in danger. president putin is blatantlytl and violently breaking the laws. i mean, listen, guys,y law we'e talking about the potential for, war in europe. i mean, let's really take a moment to understand the significance of what we're talking about to any of these people really care about ukraine and russia. now remember not long ago obama talked about he wanted to make deals with russia and then he made fun of romney for sounding the alarm on putin a few months ago when you were asked what's the biggest geopoliticalst threat facing america, you said russia, not y al-qaida. you saidoud russia in the 1980sn now calling to ask for their foreign policy because the cold war has been over for 20 years. the democrats don't care about russia. they never have. r
12:05 am
they care about holding on to power at all costs. a they certainly didn't care about russia when the soviet union wasovieac actually a real threat to the united states in the 1980s. but 198 now that russia has an economy about the size of italy's, they careey. bu sot how did we get here? well, get the answer, believe ir not, lives over in china, which is now become russia's biggest booster in this current conflict for twot. decades, ni elites here in thet united states thought it was a good idea to build up china, make them richer and more powerful even by not onlye thought it but he said it that a rising china is a positive, positive development not only foriv china but forer america and the world writhe large . t and nowo china has all it needs to prop up russia no matter what putin does in ukraine not only got a rising china, they're poised to surpass the united states economically t
12:06 am
and already have a larger standing army than we do. t buthr to the extent that russia is any real threat today, it's only because china is standing beside them. biden promised he is going to return us disney to our properou standing in the global communityrr , the rules basedru international order and that he was going to bee a unifier force around the world. rememberr that . but after one year h he's weakened america and he's united our enemiese ha. quitema an accomplishment. mark my words as long as china is perceived as the most powerful country in the world, the u.s. is going to haveco a tough time containing someone like putin rather than figuring out ways to make china weaker and unite america. biden and the hill democratse are looking for new villains here at home searching foroi a strategy to avoid a 20 20 mid-term disaster. advisers to president biden have discussed elevatingnt a unifying republican foil not named donald trump.oi
12:07 am
that was from axios today. now that political fades from the islands, mazie hironoo told axios, i wish that we could just find one face that we could point to, such as with w donald trump, maybe a composite . i'd l like us to do a much more effective job of really drawing a contrast between republicans and democrats. at no one idea being considered is a substitute trump with fox news theses right wing pundits and the gop that support him really frankly have blood on their hands. what does it say>> that peopleke like tucker carlson and fox news drumming up support dru for putin? yeah, i mean, look, it's not frustrating. it's sickening. it's un-american. tucker carlson one of the most p dangerous people alive right now. actually , the voicesctua ofoi the newly radicalized gop, they're all on the putincedi tr> >> l they're on the putin's roon and the once respected harvard
12:08 am
law professor liberal larry tribe has gone full despotso tweeting, then deleting this led by foxr news channells tucker carlson the gop trump wing appears to be throwing itsn weight behind putin if putinpt opts to wage war on our allyag ukraine, such aid and comfort to an enemy would appear to become treason b as defined by article three of the u.s. constitution. by the way,st he actually i thik wrote a constitutional law textbooks in our law schools right now wrotol b. but of course this isn't about silencing critics, is it now calling them traitors or questioning whethere inching i toward war with russia is the right choice now? rh nowap perhaps larry spent too m much time in cambridge, butnt the entire populous conservative movement was basedu on the idea of making america so strong economically that it w would be able to avoid future wars or conflicts. but now they have a bumbling imbecile at the white house bumblingci toward conflict
12:09 am
and they turn around, try to blame us for it. nice tryhe. our nation of course, remains except but we've been debilitated by two wars that we didn't d d win and now we're sitting on thirty trillion dollars of debt. republicans and democrats both responsible for that . bu as long as the us stays weak economically, the world will become a harsher and far more cruel place. that's news to the left whichck has spent the last 15 years attacking our middle classin middle class rather than trying to fix big problems and make america better, they just use this as an opportunity j to demonize their political adversaries. now think about adv the stupidiy of this . we're on the verge of war andde we stillrs have the same militay leadership in place who couldn't get us out ofdn afghanistan the right way't. that's w brilliant. and we're on the verge of war and our trade w policies are still making chinana russia's new strong friend richer by the
12:10 am
day. biden has driven ourda energy prices higher by limiting domestic drilling. and who benefits fromm that ? not us . putin does every time oil prices go up and biden's supporters remember love high energy costs or climate crazy. russia has more money in its pocket to fund his military ambitions. putin'syam happy. yesterday it was trump, the villain he could runth against. then it was january six . then it, wasn covered. s then the parents protesting atin school board meetings and now it's russia and fox news. but the important thing tomb remember to all of this is that after 25 years of establishment leadership except for the four years of donaldot trump who got it right, america is dramatically weaker. so going forward it's the job t of our leaders to fix america, rebuild the military culture and find a way to get more f leverage over chinain.
12:11 am
meanwhile, the democrats are slowly committingan political suicide and that's the angle shootingd now tucker carlson host of tucker carlson tonight and of course on fox nation tucker carlson today, tucker , the left is clearly trying to use this russia scenario as a way to silence critics you, myself, others on fox news m who are merely asking questionsr about this slow roll in thehe ukraine. with us military support. your reaction to what you've heard? well, thank you for that monologue and for not being intimidated or mindlessid as so many republicans i hate to say it have been the question i think the country needs to answer is a really simple one and it has nothing to do with the intricaciesot of russia and ukraine's border dispute. the question iskr whyai is intervening in eastern europe in this conflictin benefit the united states?
12:12 am
what a centralal american principles interests are at stake here and simply by asking that question immediately denounced as unpatriotic by the very people who openly hate america. i mean one of the many layers irony here is that the people are constantly telling you it's a racist countryop founded on slavery, is an evil place, are the quickest to whips around and accuse you of committing treason. a death penalty offense is larry tribe that you put it on the screen. so ignore the barking and ignore the name calling in the moral posturingri and the moral blackmail which isit their specialty. and i think it's important to just i keep precisely focused on that question. how is it worth it for the united states facing a lot of turmoil at home, economic and social and this immense italry from china, how does make sense for the united states to intervene in thisis conflict given our very limited resources? and they can't answer that question which t really should make us nervous,s, i think. well, tucker , t for some reason
12:13 am
these same individuals who are pushing the war, the war of narrative - in ukraine forre us forces, they're the same ones t who seem to soft pedal criticism oftentimes of china. well, of so why love china and be absolute committed tott war against russia when the russia's economy again is about the size of italy? so i'm saying they're not ann adversary. they are sure. but compared to chinahe. right. i mean, they're not getting rich from russia. the biden familyy get rich from ukraine, which is presumably the main reason they've decided to pretend as if we had some treaty with ukraine, which we don't. what galls me personally look, i believe in acting in whatever ways are necessary to enhance e the interests to protect, the interests of the united states, period. it's a super simple guide to action abroad in my opinion. it's a traditional one . it's not isolation ism.
12:14 am
i'm not against all wars. i don't thinkm you are either. just stupid, counterproductive wars that cost the lives ofpr americans and hurt our economy, of course.ur but what's so galling what'sti in fury eating is to hearng thee people who don't respect the basic precepts of democracy, the most basic off all, which of course is the people rule. they don't respect that at all, telling us that ukraine is a democracyy, therefore we have a moral obligation to defend it. you can't say enough. ukraine is not a democracy.wh ukraine is a country in which the president the ruling party supported by joe biden, essentially managed by the state department has wrested the main opposition leader has closed to opposition media newspapersio and television stations. that's notst a democracy.. and by the way, if biden administration believes that is a model democracy, we ought to be very concernededs because iti not as authoritarian. well, and tucker, it seemsat that again, the elites, the people, who you and i haveit spoken, spoken about, written about for decades who got rich off globalization and the deindustrialization of
12:15 am
the unitedion states. ey yeah, a they are absolutely committed to keepinge this entire dynamic with nato going long after germany, even with the stopping of the nord stream pipeline, at leastne temporarily, germany clearly is far less interested in containing russia than we are and we're not even enforcing our own border and we're supposed to enforce ukraine's border. how does that make any sense to the average american out there? well, i mean, at one point the bush administration got ahead of the president ofg ukraine in calling for somefouk sort ofra countries, even ukrainians like whoa, whoa, settle down, joe biden. muchjo us the germans i mean, it's a whole separatele conversation, but in one sense energy matters. o you can't run a civilization without it. i don't care what sandy quintez claimst.. the truth is we have progress. weav have lights, we haveht hospitals, we have airplanes. we are not living in caves because we have cheap energy. that's a prerequisite for civilization. germany cares about gas from ukraine f f
12:16 am
and russia, period. n' why wouldn't they ? we should care where we'reas tending is i we don't need energy. they're going to wreck our economy with this nonsense don we've been rich for so long we don't fully understand what that means. buttand to disaster you don't wt to be a poor country and they're on the road to making this one well, the same: individual who in the nineteen eighties when i was in college were making excuses for the soviet union. yes,io and had the no nukesce concerts. remember those tucker allrtll over europe with brown and no nukes, you know as ronnie reagan and i hated the strategic defense initiative, all of those people areti like well this much weaker russia is our is our biggest problem facing facing the united statesac. and meanwhile you have people on television like joy reedho who thinks that anyone beating the war drums is basically a kremlin apologist ties to russia to help his campaign accept it from them. it is adoration of vladimir putin are allea tool. real
12:17 am
and worse. s trump's putin love has seemed to infect many in his party , so much so that the republican party once stalwart opponents of soviet aggression during the cold war are now d essentially kremlin apologists. tucker . that's that's the line. you're going to hear that a lot. i mean, i just i have to say you've got to just like pull back a little bit. that woman who is a went to harvard. i went to trinity college in hartford, connecticut. ri colso who's got the privileg? exactly.onth this is someone who's not capable of thinking i clearly or expressing yourself clearly or writing a coherent sentencef c and she got into harvard. so it does tell you that our system is producing isin elevating and producing likeg, the most mediocre people imaginable. that's the core problem. and they run everyryrt american institution. these people have been brought up through a system that is ht is compliantate brain dead dumb leaders and it's doing that veryat effectively. : think the american people, given what we're facing
12:18 am
this push for higher and higher energy prices because the left thinks ten dollars a gallon isn't high enough? i mean, they want they want gas to be so unaffordable that we're all going around in those green scooters all day long. so so do you think when they're facing those high gas prices at the pumps and heating oil at homeme, do you think any of this the war drums beating ishet going to bring people along to biden's cause, the democrat party ? >> i mean, look, it's pretty clear if you're closing pipelines in this countryhi and now you are y provoking conflict with the largest gas supplier in europe, maybepl you are making a play against fossil fuels. this has two effects. one is ideological h to hate fossil fuels on principles that sandy cortez's position. kamala harrisos doesn't believe she has donorst and friends who are making a ton from alternative energy from renewables which are not sustainable in real energyhe sources actually . but ifss you hike the cost of fossil fuels way up, all of i a sudden those investments become more profitable. so yeah,nv
12:19 am
of course it's about energy actually . and no one saying it's not em democracy. i can promise you that . o that's one thing these peoplene are not in favor of. . 's democracy don't let them tell you otherwise. tucker , so great.r. i haven't even talked too you to for the longest time. so this is a good man.. all right. great to have you on . thanks for joining us . all right. d the latest developmentsev in ukraine in a moment. plus, biden finally admitsha what you'llt have to give up ukraine'so secure borders. we hinted at but stay there. it starts with quick money. billions are propping up the dark side of social media is hiding in plain sight. begining is not searching for how are they popping up any unsuspecting dulce or child can get stuck in the world looking for home for comfort and once again they make it impossible. get out sometimes with deadly results. just go out there and open

invest symbolim. >> let's go now to a fox newsit alert on the situation unfolding in ukraine. fox is lucas tomlinson isldinon on the ground all of ukraine with the latest lucas laws. l someau of the american diplomats that evacuated s this cityrt in western ukraine have started to trickle back in as newed satellite photos from massar show russian forces moving closer to the border, including ukraine's second largest city. this russian field hospital l just 12 miles from the border right now. and thisth second photo shows more russian armored units being delivered by rail us officials say all signsns continue pointing to a potential full scale invasion in washington. ukraine's top diplomat metaiop his american counterpart and later visited the white house. his message regarding sanctions against russia was simple ria.
12:25 am
russia's economy now and hit it hard. some in the west want to turn up the temperature on moscow. the british sanctioned five small russian banks, but four were previously sanctioned by the us . now us officials tell me they're seeing more fuel shipments being delivered to front line russian forces. herecerning sign on the ground, ukraine or lucas. >> i'm confused abouten what president biden said today, he said and i just wantt to make sure i get it right. he said we have no intention of fighting russia, but we want toa send an unmistakable messager that the us , together with our allies, nato allies a, will defend every inch of nato territory and abide by the m commitments we've made. is that confusing to hear if you're vladimir putin and you're thinking of moving in and a full scalele invasion? well, u.s. officials say what the president is referring to there is supporting nato. of course ukraine is not in nato and president putin
12:26 am
does not want to see ukrainee become part of nato's. one ofar the reasons we'reof in this situation. so president biden is movingvi forces some five thousand in poland. some are t goingo to be pushingg out to the baltic states. tahe's also moving thirty two apache gunships to poland and the baltic states. that's what the president is referring to is supporting nato countries, not ukraine, at least militarily. besides weapons shipments, of course,: luca, thank you so much for staying up for us . we really appreciate it. ct and after slappingio sanctions b on russia today, biden admitted something we warned w about before he got elected. he wantso youpa to pay more at the pump. defending freedom willsp have a cost for us as well. and here at home we need to be honest about that . >> joining me now i steven. miller, l america first legalmp founder and former trump senior adviser at the whitee house.ct and also with me is indianaon congressman jim banks,gr republican study committee. steve, it is this just giving the democrats cover to stick it to americans and continue
12:27 am
this war on private vehicle ownership and use in the united states. but it is very convenient. they shut down america's pipelines but canceled leases for oil and natural gas drilling. they put enormous new restrictionsew on the abiliy to explore and expand energyom domestically and others say,e oh , well, you're f really payig more for energy because of vladimir putin really has nothing to do with any of the policy choices that we've made here in america. the truth is there's one problem america should truly never have and that is paying high prices at the pump or paying high prices to heat or cool your home because we are one the most energy richti nations on planet earthon. we had energy independence under donald trump and they made a decisionaly, a voluntarye decision to end ournd energy independence. congress and vaxx think of where it would be today visisod a vis russia and the leverage they would have over us or not
12:28 am
if we had just left trump's. policies in place this is just yet another example of ed the situation around us crumbling because bidenid stayed on the fanaticism and away from common sense or across the board, whether you whether you're talking about going overnight from being an energy independent nation to one reliant on oil coming from foreign countries, especially f from our adversaries like russia. whether you're talking about the border crisisou or crime rates or around this country on almost every crisis, anve issue facing america today there is a directryss line betws decisions that joe biden and this administration made in the very first days on when they came into office and the crisis that we're facing in this country today and thed very fact that across the board on average americans are spending a buck and a quarter more per gallon for gasoline atm the pumps that that's directly related, as stephen said, toed,p stopping drilling on federal
12:29 am
lands and ending construction of the keystone pipeline. that's why you're spending more at the pump. it's not because of vladimirau putin and stevenra, the numberss for biden and the new gallup b poll on russia are abysmal.by wesm keep asking how low can he go and polls the question is, is there even a floor fori' biden's support? i'm not sure there is, but t itt keeps edging lower and lower and lower. and do you think there's a hunger for more military involvementli in in this situation ever precarious u as it is in ukraine?kr no, there most assuredly is notu . and i will say if you study the history of world war one, what you know is that complex networks of alliances combined with foolish, hasty or rash thinking can potential lead to enormous and deadly conflict. and so we have toode tread with extreme care and caution here. he keep in mind part of
12:30 am
the reason why people are so upset at joe biden is seeing him stumbling and bumbling around europe talking aboutut b sovereignty. nt they're also keenlyy, aware of the fact that joe biden has a actually launched a full scale assaultctct on american sovereie and as a race our own southernor border. so what we're paying more for energy prices because of his failed europe policyd. we are paying in american livesp for his failed border policy. and there was an interestingme comment made by the pentagon spokesman about this burgeoning bromance between president xi and putin. >> congressman, i want to play it for you. t we certainly have been watchig the at least public burgeoning relationshiptt between russia and china. we would say that their tacit support, if you will, for russia is deeply alarming and frankly, even
12:31 am
more destabilizing to the security situation in europe and more destabilizing, i believe, than even what russia is doing in ukraine. congressman whose responsibleng for driving putin into she's harms that we still saying are still saying it's donald trump's fault with without a doubt it's that we have the weakest president perhaps ever and the white house on a daily basis projects weakness and appeasement to our adversaries for four yearsarie the world was far more safeh on donald trump's watch than any singleth day that joe biden has been in office. i mean, that is a fact. everything everything that we see from from russian aggression to china continuing to move toward their ultimate goals, iran on the rise again acting out and and firingsi missiles and rockets at our greatest our greatest ally i and israel across the board
12:32 am
the world is far y more safer fr years under trump than it's ever been with joe bidenen in te white house sincece that weaknes that putin is seeing. why he's that's why he's acting out at this moment. i'm telling you, chairman and the chinese communist party , the play are watching the biden weakness as well, which is going to have even, more disastrous consequences down the road. steve, why do the elites think that americans care more about defending ukraine's border than our southern border? i never did figure that out. i think that for some of them f there's obviously a lot of financialin a interests involved and we've seen that with president putin's family. i think in otherfami cases i thk there's always been among both neocons and democrats a segment who are excited about the prospect of foreign adventure overseas while being completely emotionally disconnected from and having no in fact emotional attachment too their own citizens, their own country, their own borderswnif and this administration typifies that personifies that as no administration ever
