iingly read your quote, that is what you are supposed to do. do you see that notion changing among a lot of people, specifically among african americans? >> i do. i do. i think that when we are born, we are born into our families and we take on the trait what our families are and my parents were democrats. that is what i was, it was never thought or considered about changing to the republican party. as i retired from the military and started getting more involved in my community and start seeing things that were just not quite like i thought they should be, i decided to make a switch. it wasn't an easy decision. i talk to family and friends, i talk to constituents and a lot of family members are really republicans, as well, so it was not too hard of a transition at all. and now that i've done it, i am very much at ease with it, very

happening right now. >> carley: putin is playing chess while the european allies are playing checker, is that true? nato is alive, sanctions are being levied, could putin take a risk that might not pay off? >> i think it is a risk he's taking, what he sees if we go back to the biden/obama administration when he seized crimea, obama sent blankets to ukraine and trump come in and sent missiles. putin does nothing and now biden is in power and taken the entire country. it is result of fractured nato from the afghanistan withdrawal, biden left all nato partners to their own devices when we withdrew and that was a debacle and nato is pretty much weakened right now because of biden's

actions and putin sees this and he's seizing the moment. >> todd: general, take a look back at the map we had on the screen, i find it fascinaing and telling. it shows ukraine surrounded for all intents and purposes with exception of south wests corner, ukraine is surrounded. what do you expect to see from russia in the next 24 hours in light of the positioning of resources on the map? >> yeah, i think the logistics are key here, this terrain is tough to fight in sometimes, he will make sure he has logistics tightened up, set piece, seize provinces and tighten logistics and continue to move. north and south, you see forces prepared to seize pieces of ukraine and protect russia flights, as well. his paratroopers from four
