here with a very real possibility that our banks and power plants could actually be targeted. meantime, 150,000 russian troops stand at the ready. they are surrounding ukraine on three sides. some russian troops have reportedly already moved into eastern ukraine, with the country set to declare a nationwide state of emergency. ukraine's ministry of foreign affairs, warning "we are currently in the middle of the larger security crisis in europe, since the second world war." pete, you did a brilliant break down this morning on "fox & friends" of where we stand. i want to get an update from you. because now, we are learning that supplies have been transferred, medical equipment been transferred. now this large-scale cyber attack which could be a predecessor action. where do we stand? where the signs point to? >> pete: the signs point to invasion. it does not take a military strategist to look at all of the chess pieces that vladimir putin has in the table, 150,000 of

them. now, cyberattacks. you have russian tanks that have moved into sovereign ukrainian soil, which may be controlled by so-called russian separatists, that red portion of the mat producing the bottom right-hand corner. but he still recognizes ukraine through the question is, does he move into that orange portion, and how much further beyond that? you see those red dots. belarus controlled by client state of soviet union peer there are field hospitals being set up in the northeast part of ukraine. he can come three oh separatists controlled areas or up through crimea, the port of odessa which is in the bottom left-hand side of ukraine there is very valuable to the russians if they want to off-load to a larger invasion. all of the signs are there from the troops on the ground, to the positioning that they need, to the rhetoric of vladimir putin. frankly, to the failure of american leadership. what we said from the beginning was, our goal was deterrents. this is not what deterrence looks like.

those purple and red hooks, all the options were seen in the attentions once actions are, wars of foot. it does not mean, clearly we are not going to be involved to begin with. but ukraine is on that footing, readying its citizens in mobilizing its reserves. allowing anyone to carry a weapon. this is likely going to happen in the next 24 hours. the question is, how far and how fast. >> ominous. what i want to get to us what you mentioned there. the failure of american leadership. i was stunned yesterday to watch the president. he was supposed to come on at 2:00 p.m. eastern time, he moved up to 1:00 p.m. eastern time. he ends up coming out later than the original time, 2:00 p.m. eastern time. i know that may just see my scheduling. but i think it speaks to a real feeling, michelle, of leading from behind. we have this image, we will put it up. president biden turning his back to the american people, turning his back to the world. walking off, taking no questions. announcing weak sanctions, after germany announced there is, after the e.u. announced their action. he is leading from behind. this is insufficient. >> michele: and it is not new,

kaylee. who can forget in 2009, when hillary clinton went to geneva and gave sergey many of that red button in the box. does everyone remember that reset bond? it was silly and unserious then. under the obama administration, in which biden was then vice president. and it is not serious now. these sanctions are too little, too late. this is a pattern with joe biden and his past, and with russia and their ties. this is not new. it is infuriating. these sanctions are little slaps on the wrist that have never meant anything to putin and continue to not mean anything to putin. i would secondly add, that you are going to feel this at the gas pump here and many, may be many other ways which is terrifying if we have some sort of cyber attack. that is a frightening thing. but this should be again, another lesson to americans that

when we rely on foreign countries for our resources, particularly energy, and all the things that we rely on china for, they can impact our consumption immediately on their terms anytime they want. we are not well positioned in that arena i am afraid. it is for reasons like shutting down the keystone pipeline and not letting us produce our own energy and relying too much on china for these imports of goods in russia for others. this should be an eye-opener for everyone in america. i'm afraid we're going to hurt a little bit before we really are awakened to it. >> we were well prepared about a year and half ago and we had energy independence. emily, i heard this at the podium. it's an exchange with peter doocy peered my job just dropped open. let's listen. speak of the president send the spring that pentagon generals had briefed him that the greatest threat facing america is global warming. is that still the assessment now

that we are facing down a potential cyber war with russia? >> let me first say, there is no, while we are are always for any threat that any outside entity or country poses to their estates that relates to cyber or anything else, there is no current pending threat that relates to cyber. >> kayleigh: no current threat, emily. >> emily: that's weird considering that the fbi's heightened warnings to the private sector and the government of cyberattacks, specifically as a result of the u.s. sanctions. the volume or severity of the russian cyber response will spike. they warrant these state-sponsored attempts for fear fishing and brute force cyberattacks in the past. if targeted, a variety of critical u.s. infrastructure ranks including the industrial base, health care, public health, energy, telecoms, and consistently, these russian actors target dissent contractors. they also influence continuous use throughout the social media sector.

covert immediate connections per they amplify messaging that create narratives designed to exclude or isolate groups from one another. i.e. all of social media, as we experience it. keep in mind, the why behind these attacks. they are designed to destabilize a country, destabilize us, to promote a lack of confidence in a country's leadership and they threaten the well-being of citizens. russia would absolutely do this as part of their attack, frankly they already have. we all remember the solar winds attack. meanwhile, six european union countries are sending teams of cybersecurity experts to ukraine. to help deal with the cyberthreats on current attacks there. in the meantime, however, we will just hope i guess that our administration protects us. >> kayleigh: hope. hope is not a strategy but yes. lauren, i also heard the sound bite from our commander in chief yesterday, about americans and what we can expect. let's listen. >> my administration is using every tool at our disposal to protect american businesses and consumers. from rising prices at the pump.

as i said last week, defending freedom will have costs. for us as well, here at home. we need to be honest about that. >> kayleigh: lauren, i really want to understand this. americans can expect higher gas prices, stock market rises, but hunter biden got 83,000 per month from ukraine. so ukraine, was for hunter but not for america. >> lauren: i'm glad to give us that sound bite because what cost would not have to pay that we are not already bearing here in the u.s. that he could get worse. if you're in california and your feeling of the gas tank today, your pain an all-time high record $4.75. for regular, unleaded. it is insane. inflation, already running at a near 40 year high. producer inflation, factory gate inflation, 9.7%. that factor sound to what we pay when we go to the store. we are talking right now about

but watch what happens, i will be watching this very closely i know you all will too. they are already reestablishing pelosi around capitol hill. it was joe biden who counseled justin trudeau to react the way that he did. emergency powers in canada. what measures will this in minutes ration be willing to take against peaceably assembled americans who only want to be heard? this will be a scary flash point and potentially very revealing about how far the autocratic tendencies of the left, especially in washington, d.c., had become. these truckers are brave for what they are doing. they will remain peaceful. the reaction, it feels predictable but is yet to be seen. >> that is absolutely right turn michelle, pete mentioned listening. listening instead of force. but as fort pelosi is being built as he said, is that the right way for biden to handle this? >> michele: no. but first let me correct, survey lab or outcome i think i misspoken the last segment. i want to correct that so no one thinks i'm not even on the

little knots. here is what is not knots, talking to people and listening. if they respond in d.c. with all of these kinds of forces, whether it is national guard, or for pelosi or whatever it is. the optics are horrible. invite these people to the white house to capitol hill. meet them where they are and talk about this. otherwise, it will backfire like it did for trudeau. i agree, these are brave people who are just finally fed up and want to stand up and talk about this and show america and the world that they stand with the canadian truckers. they stand with all the blue-collar workers in america who vaccinated or not, are concerned about their freedoms. and their ability to choose for themselves, whether or not they want to stick a needle in their arm. that should be personal choice. we talked about pro choice and freedom of choice and a lot of other arenas.

i think this one is too. most people have decided to get vaccinated. i'm one of them. but i don't think we should force people to that. we start on the very slippery slope when we do that. >> kayleigh: that's right. you mention, i think at the optics, you are right. they backfired on trudeau. there was a lot of significant collateral damage there. people losing, having their livelihoods obliterated potentially not temporarily. we saw an incredible revenge tree occurring on the part of the canadian government there that the tendrils snagged towards abilities even providing coffee for those who were demanding their own freedom. kaylee, you are in the white house and experienced a trucker protest yourself. was it peaceful? >> kayleigh: it was entirely peaceful. it wasn't on a related issue about industry standards and shipping costs, but you can hear these forms pair that works what was so interesting. you walk through the rose garden and you hear the trucker horns. they were unmistakable and they were allowed. but they were peaceful, all of the truckers were peaceful.

all i would advise president biden to listen to them, meet with them. the polling shows that mandates are not popular. the vaccine mandate popularity one from 53 to 43%. i always thought common practice this mandate will not be popular, it's not. president biden, you can ignore that polling and go about all your covert edicts, but you will never be able to ignore the sound of the trucker horns, trust me. i heard them loud and clear. any time you walk from the white house residence to the oval office, you will hear those trucker horns. so listen to them. call them into the oval office. surprise us all. i think it would make you, maybe you'll get one or two points up in your polling. it's 37%, maybe you'd hit 40. i doubt it but you never know. >> fingers crossed on his part. lauren, we honestly enjoy a lot of constitutional protections that our neighbors do not come on fortunately peered the reality remains that there are threats of cheese seizures here as well. >> lauren: let me read your tweet from arizona congressman diego. perfect time to impound and give the trucks to small trucking companies looking to expand

their business. basically, as we are looking at these convoys of trucks crisscrossing the u.s. headed to d.c. to potentially block the beltway in time for president biden's state of the union. he is saying, sees their truck, because they are peacefully protesting. he is listening exactly to what justin trudeau did up north. when they decided to invoke unprecedented emergency powers and freeze the bank accounts of about 200 protesters and truck owners who refused to leave the protest. it was about 6 million u.s. dollars that they started to give that money back. but what other money was frozen? do people have their accounts frozen if they just donated? to the freedom convoys, we don't know. these are things that you would never think would happen. in north america, when 90% of the protesting truckers in canada are vaccinated, they are just saying listen to us, talk to us. let's just take the temperature down and freed up a little bit.

the push for what americans don't want, this reimagining of american society. this focus on culture over fundamentals. we saw that in san francisco. the other part of the san francisco story with the board members were ousted in liberal san francisco was a lot of the asian voters in that community. the parents were like, asian voters are typically more democratic but they are moderate. the parents said they are changing all this up and what you're doing, is you are placing the merit system in the school. making our kids smarter, making the next generation smarter, to defeat china. they are replacing that with a lottery system. so parents are speaking up. groups that did not always have a political voice or speaking out because we are sick of this culture change that is being pushed by the far left and the party that is trying to become mainstream. >> you seat across the country. it is not just virginia, almost new jersey. jacksonville. it was about an area that once

republicans and city council seat. san francisco, which lauren just brought up, check this out. we have the numbers. check out the margins that these liberal school board numbers were voted out by. it's huge. take a look at that. 79%. 73%. 72%. these liberal, voted out by other liberals. leave it to cnn to say that this is somehow a victory for liberalism. listen. >> yes, even in famously liberal san francisco, there is such a thing as too extreme. that is good news. because our democratic cities don't actually live up to the caricatures created by conservatives. >> okay. i argue that the characters are created actually by that progressive left, by people like rashida tlaib who don't even live in reality. the st. louis st. louis post-dispatch editorial board clapped back writing this, which i think is common sense. notoriously liberal san francisco voters have discovered that they even have limits when it comes to progressivism gone wild. this is hardly the first time that progressives have failed to

keep pace with the national mood. they mistook widespread public outrage over police killings of unarmed black people, as a mandate to defund and dismantle local police forces. that hit the nail on the head. we've been seeing this play out in these liberal studies, for example, remember gascon in l.a., he ran on a platform of compassionate prosecution and reducing incarceration. he shocked his voters when he extinguished sentence enhancement. the recall actions started immediately. he has not prosecuted basically anyone. it backfired on those photos. they were expecting someone sort of moderate. we also sought in san francisco, with boudin. he was elected by less than 3,000 votes on a similar prosecution platform. he has utterly failed to prosecute anyone. he too, his face and recalls. voters trusted a common sense approach to criminal justice reform and they got out her mutiny instead. >> yeah they did. pete, you and i.

[inaudible]. >> pete: it was electric. it was excitement. it was a recognition that conservatives may have been knocked down but we had the right ideas. the excitement and the belief in america, which the left is completely abandoned. and so, this is an honest question. i thought about it a little bit. if you are a democrat running for the house or senate right now, what are you running on? honestly. it's a crime, covid, the schools, the border? is it fuel, inflation, curriculum? is it build back better? no one knows what that is in the infrastructure bill. you have almost nothing to stand on any don't have orange man bad, which is what they had before.

so it is really tenuous. and thank you bloomberg, all we can count on is that once the republicans when the majority, he will become a republican again. that's all he does. >> he does. he totally does. michelle, to pete's point, that's exactly right here they are running on these toxic cultural issues and mandates. they are really just running against something, which is freedom, movements, et cetera. >> michele: you know, he, bloomberg called for an immediate course correction. i don't think there's a course correction immediate enough for what they have done and how off course that they are. i think voters, as we been seen in this eve articulated, are seen through this. they know, that what they've been digging their heels on for the last several years, defund the police, bill back better, green energy, which is great. but americans are practical. we see the results of these things happening in our own lives. we seem crime going up. i'm here in minneapolis were carjackings or through the roof.

mincing words when asked the people should feel safe in his city. >> i think people should be concerned about their safety. i do. i think there are too many guns on the street. i would not hide in the basement, but i would be concerned about my surroundings. be concerned when the car what's around me. >> p, that sounds a good description of pretty much every democrat run city, from baltimore to new york city to l.a. harris faulkner yeah, it is good to hear a tacit admission like that. but against, it's always the guns, the guns of the problem. always always always. they go back to the guns. they ignore the fact that they defunded and demoralize the police, and they cannot get enough to recruit them to get out there. so they are overworked, and under supported. then they have no consequences for actual petty crime, which leads to bigger crime. they repeat offenders, are caught and released, because of woke d.a.'s and mayors who are craving to defund the police. it is a product of their own making. then it comes to them, the folks with the gates and the guard. when it comes to the people of the gates of the guards, the

problem. the people that mers are the ones that are the ones that live in political community is to begin with i don't have a constituency. maybe that will change, but it does not seem capable. >> yep your children. an 11-year-old boy, he texted his dad looked at how me or something to that effect. how joint it was getting attacks from us on. >> that was such an incredible story. it was hard to even wrap my brain around it. this kid, he's such a hero. he was so smart at this young age of 11. he texted his dad dad help. he said that the dad's stomach sank at that moment. this sort of lighter side are humorous moments, where the kid said that the guy was trying to take my phone for me but he was too weak to do it. he was like, i got it. the dad talked about how when he finally got his boy in the phone, he said hang up because we are tracking your cell phone and we will find you appeared i will come to. and he hung up. what was the last thing he said it was on. this is my point, this is not some type of, oh, he happened to be in the car alone for

carjacking. this is a kidnapping victim. this should be prosecuted as such. and here the state, new york come over that took place, there is a 25 year sentence regardless of prior criminal history. in fact, law mandates that whether you have a prior mandate or not, it mandates a five-year sentence. i want to see if the d.a. here is going to prosecute that, for what it is, which is kidnapping. even though it ended with him unharmed, that is not unharmed to me. that needs to be prosecuted. >> he should be prosecuted, no doubt. willett, who knows. and then the story that still resonates with me as a mother, as cristina's acoustic on the 38 euros woman. let's put up her picture if we can. with her codes there. she is a mama four. driving an uber. she loses her life. she is described as someone who loves crafting, bible study. anyone who knew her knew her smile could light up every room she was in, no matter what was going on in her life. she was always smiling, always positive, always loving. she should still be here today.

>> she was shot by a career criminal released a few days prior, he had a firearm. that's why he was charged. then he was released and he shot her dead in the head. she was working for her family, four children. this just, these stories touch so my different parts of the population. another thing to consider, is that we are also seen a lot of teens and juveniles commit the crimes. particularly, when they are carjacking. they know they can get away with it because the juvenile system does not charge them as harshly. the democratic mayor of chicago, lori lightfoot, said, yeah this is happening. it happened because the schools were close. i think she was right. parents were working. kids were doing zoom school and they were doing out bad things at times for the union, school union attacked her for that poor they said that's not the case, don't say that about our kids. if you look at the numbers, she's right. this is a huge problem, i don't feel safe in new york city driving home.

i locked my car the first thing i do when i get in. >> so smart. we have to take extra precautions. michelle, i think whether the finding is a product party thing, is losing its own members, those were carjacked to rethink how they were okay. but they are the ones, some of them saying, let's defund the police remove money. they are carjacked. they are of the victims of their own policy. >> michele: i've been wanting to say this for a long time. in minneapolis, councilwoman was interviewed and asked, what happens when people pick up the phone and call 911 paired she said, that comes from a place of privilege. that is not a place of privilege. why is it privilege to expect safety in our communities when we, the taxpayers, are pulling our funds to pay for the police to protect us. that should be job number one of any city council, any government, is to protect its citizens. why is it considered privilege to live a safe and happy life, we where we get to pursue happiness and all the other things of the bill of rights

they undressed inside their locker rooms. all of this, comes on the heels of the dallas cowboys multimillion dollar settlement with a group of cheerleaders. but former cheerleaders, for other teams, say that this kind of thing is pervasive in the nfl. victims are barred from speaking out in part, because of nondisclosure agreements. watch. >> the nfl continues to cover up their wrongdoings with 30 hush money and the amount of nda's that they are giving out is completely out of control. i believe it is a tactic to continue to silence women in the nfl. >> there are so many ideas, known as evil and able to speak about the true issues and misogyny that is happening in the nfl right now. >> michelle, you have such unique, specific perspective as a long time nfl sideline reporter. what is your point of view on this? >> michele: this one is very difficult for me. i've covered so many dallas games, i can't even begin to count. i've watched those famous dallas cowboys cheerleaders, take the field numerous times. the fans love them.

i know about this lawsuit in dallas, and i happen to know the gentleman who has been accused. this is very difficult for me to get my head around. i have to start with that coming full disclosure. i often have wondered about the calendars, the parties that these cheerleaders are invited to come in the performances. they are, for lack of a better word, they are a little bit sexualized. i've wondered about that. i've wondered about how much of that is choice of these individual women, and how much of it is pressure. i hope we do get the answers to that. clearly, some women are starting to speak out now. i've never witnessed anything that i have found reason to be uncomfortable about. that is not to say that is not there. >> pete, an argument is that these young women are now being punished for that.

these organizations. >> lauren, the average franchise is worth almost $3.5 billion. the argument is that these cheerleaders, they are often the first and the only interaction that fans have with their team. they are the community ambassadors. they are the ones that are giving good well and that out to the community. they are also a member of the team. shouldn't they, they argue, earn, or they do earn, should they receive a larger share of these incredible profits? >> lauren: of course. especially when you are the public face, if you will come in many ways. you are doing the community events and charity events. this story strikes home for a lot of reasons. i was a cheerleader in high school and in college. we were athletes. we were competitive. i was also valedictorian. people automatically assume, because you are a cheerleader, you can't also be smart. or, because you're a cheerleader, you are going to sign an nda or be promiscuous.
