bringing the latest with fox news coverage. alexandria hoff with washington's response. >> carley: first we start with mike tobin. mike what is the latest in lviv? >> mike: start with remarkable images out of kharkiv, city far east of the country that has been under attack now for the better part of a day. there is a direct hit on a municipal building there from what looks like a smart weapon. they are targeted hit on this building. we have information from sources on the ground it was a targeted assassination attempt. no word on casualties from that strike. we know in kharkiv, there are tremendous civilian casualties largely because of indiscriminate rocket fire that came into ukraine's second largest city all day yesterday. just west, there is military base in altikra, which took a

direct hit from artillery yesterday. reports that seven ukrainian soldiers were killed because of that artillery strike in altikra, between kharkiv and kyiv. a battle is underway in kherson, focused on control of a bridge that stretches over the dnieper river. this bridge is very important because it connects crimean peninsula, where russia have been fortifying their numbers and give russian ability to have free flow between the crimean area. that is where the marine engineer gave his own life taking out the area. he elected to sacrifice himself.

the kids out of dangerous areas and to safety. >> carley: have you to wonder how the children feel, they don't have moms and dads and stuck in the middle of a war zone and wonder about supplies like food and necessity for them. if they are in a town that is being bombed by russia, how do you get necessary food and supplies to them? >> that is one of our greatest concerns right now and we are so concerned about the safety and well being of the children and that is kind of my heart and plea and why i've been vocal on social media about this, because there is a lot of news about the war coverage and about refugees and idp's and there should be, but who is talking about the orphans? who is going in and making sure they have what they need and if we can safely remove them from dangerous areas and to safety. also, why are we not expediting the process for adoptions already in place.
