energy agency says the situation at the zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, russian forces control the area around that nuclear power plant. we understand from the iaea, it is functioning normally and they have seen no levels of radiation increasing. that is a relief given a russian artillery shell slammed into the power plant last night. it hit a training center, rather than a nuclear reactor, but it was close to doing so and goodness knows what might have done if it had happened. we are 36 years from the chernobyl nuclear disaster, which caused devastation in ukraine and across europe and president zelenskyy here is

russian warships were in the black sea yesterday. i spoke to a source who says there are no russian troops in the city. that could change at any moment as russian troops continue to press their offensive across ukraine. carley and todd. >> todd: jonathan, throughout this conflict, we've been told and warning others to be cautious as to information they are receiving because oftentime its is couched and propaganda and the like. how confident should we be that the answers we're get withing regard to how dangerous the situation is from a nuclear perspective coming out of that nuclear plant, should we take this all as everything is good and we don't have to wor benuclear fall out and all that? >> jonathan: i think when the director of the international atomic energy agency says there is no increase in radiation levels in the area, you can take that as fact.
