. >> today we are eager to begin diplomatic discussions nothing to discuss. united earth is ready. right now to rejoin the federation.e and nothing could make me happier, than to say those words. >> i wonder if she will get another emmy nod. blap . >> stacey: a fox news alert. russian missiles dropping bombs on nato's doorstep. missiles hitting an aircraft repair plant in the western ukranian city 40 miles from the polish boarder. >> you're watching fox news. >> six missiles were likely fired at the target from the black sea. two were successfully shot down jonathan hunt on the ground in that city. lviv, jonathan, what are you
1:01 am
hearing? >> good morning to you both. it was just after dawn this morning that those missiles slammed into the area in and around the airport. that is just about three and a half miles from the city center, where we are right now. the missiles strikes sending plumes of thick, smoke into the air. lots of video of that captured via twitter. you can see it quite clearly there. a mushroom cloud rising above the airport area. the airport is the second largest in ukraine. in normal time would be the second busiest. obviously, there are no commercial flights there right now. there have not been, since war broke out, but it is the site of a aircraft repair center, that the mayor of liviv says is the target. the russians believing that was being used to repair military
1:02 am
aircraft of the ukranian air force. we told by the mayor, there was no activity there, at that time. we're also told that there are no casulties, from that early-morning strike. as we enter two-week four of this war, the ukranian people are being told that the russian grand forces are stalled. they are being told that peace talks are progressing, step by step, slowly. what the ukranian people are experiencing is ongoing suffering and death. strikes have continued in kyiv, as well, the capital city, which has been underbombardment, obviously for such a long time. much of it coming from russian tanks, artillery shells hitting that city with those russian tanks stopped around 10 miles at the closest point from the very center of kyiv. in the meantime, ukranian president volodymyr zelenskyy, has been visiting some of the
1:03 am
wounded in hospitals. president zelenskyy, saying that he is not going to give any details of the military help ukranians are getting from countries, like the united states and european countries. he says he wants to surprise the russians. now, obviously we know from president biden and other u.s. government officials a lot of the details of what the u.s. is tending, in terms of air defense, javelin and stinger missiles. the indication from president zelenskyy, may be that there is more military equipment coming to ukraine, via whatever country that we do not know about. president zelenskyy, saying he will not get into the details of peace talks publicly. he believes private diplomacy is more effective. >> ebb focusing on the break news the airport strike. is it your sense it is mostly strategic to noc out the airport so, ukraine can't use it or your sense, it is really sending a
1:04 am
message to ukraine, hey, we're getting pretty close to the area you thought was safe? could it send a message to poland. saying stop what you're doing, because you're getting too close to this conflict, especially when we're hitting you 30-40 miles away? >> reporter: i think messaging is very important, all of those points, todd. it appears what they were going after we don't believe they have hit any of the runways at the airport. they haven't taken out the functioning of the airport, if the ukranian air force were to use it. we believe they have taken out, merely what the mayor says, the mayor says is an aircraft repair center. now, we do not know, beyond the mayor's words, whether or not that was being used for the repair of any ukranian air force planes. the mayor here has said that it was not. we take him at hits word, of course. but the russians clearly believe
1:05 am
it is a military target, but you're absolutely right. the messaging that we can hit anywhere in this country. and we can hit very close to the border was poland is a message, that the russians are no doubt want to get across too. >> one of the big news items is slovakia has that f 300 missile system they're willing to give to it ukraine. they want assurances the u.s. would back fill their supply. if the ukraine has the f been00 missile system, do you think it would have intercepted this missile strike? >> reporter: they have air defense systems. the f 300 is more to shoot down aircraft. it has a much, longer range than some of the air defense systems that are currently in place. i believe that the altitude, the top altitude for an f 300 to hit is something like 80,000 feet, so that makes a big difference,
1:06 am
compared to the air defense systems that are currently in place here. anything that the ukrainians get, they are obviously very grateful to have. if they get the f 300s, they will be pleased to have them. they will no doubt put them to immediate use. >> jonathan, live for us in lviv thank you. ukraine president volodymyr zelenskyy risk of death remains high, as the russians try to build a land bridge between crime crimea and the mainland. >> now in western ukraine, good morning to you. tell us about your parents. do you know how they are? what can you tell us about the continuer situation inside ma are ripol. >> i know my parents are alive. we just found out that they are
1:07 am
alive. they are hiding with some other relatives where i used to live and now they're living is missile strikes more often than it used to. and what i know about the continuer situation, some of my colleagues finally have also managed to evacuate from the city. they saad that it is quite dangerous, even to go somewhere in mar poll and it is for them it was dangerous even to find the car to evacuate. and they are coming from other cities to try to evacuate people
1:08 am
so, there are a lot of broken cars in the city. there are cars, without any gas, because people just take it for their own cars. it is really dangerous, to even go on the road, in the city center, because one of my friends were evacuating. she said they were in the car, and just aircraft were over their heads. in the sense, people are scared to evacuate, because you have no guarantee that you will not be attacked. so we're in the middle of the road from one city to the another. i know that two days ago the some cars were attacked. five people were injured, including a child. they get some help. they managed to get this child to hospital, but it is really
1:09 am
dangerous. i don't know what else to say. >> if i could step in for a moment. i want to focus on your journey out of mariupol. how difficult was it for you to escape? >> so, i get out of the city on the first day. in the morning, just like like 9:00 am. it was not difficult. only because i had just slightly enough to find my dear friends, who had some space in their car. they let us go with them. it was quite dangerous, because we were hearing missiles strikes. but, we didn't have any russian checkpoints. just ukranian ones. they just let us go, just go,
1:10 am
go, as fast as you can. it was safer, much safer than today. because the city was blocked just from one of the days. >> vera, you were lucky to get out on the first day. unfortunately, the situation has now changed. i was reading earlier today that there was a story about a family, who was trying to get out of mariupol past a russian checkpoint. they took everyone out of their car and checked everyone for antiputin content and in discriminating tatoos it is harder to stay in the city and leave as well. thank you so much for joining us in these are really, difficult times. we wish you and your family the best of luck. >> thank you. >> thank you, vera. the restaurant owner who is still in kyiv helping the most vulnerable. he joins us now.
1:11 am
alexander, thank you for joining us you joined us earlier in this war. you told us about your efforts in helping people. giving them medical supplies. giving them food. how are things going for you on the ground? >> good morning. well, the things are going the same, but the people they' theye getting more and more people, who are in need. i have more assistance. i have more volunteers helping me out. and well, we do almost 30 to 40 deliveries per day. there are a lot of people in need. a lot. they need medicine they are without. they need food and dog and cat food. they cannot go in the streets. not all of the shops, but almost all of the little shops are closed. there are big, by queues towards the drugstores.
1:12 am
they are going from early morning, until the time we can still be on the streets. we're doing, what we can donations and to help these people. >> if it weren't for you delivering food and delivering medicine and delivering all of these supplies. what would happen to these people? >> it is hard to say. i would believe that there would be someone else doing that, because i know that my friends and my people, who stayed here. i'm watching through instagram and facebook. there are a lot of people doing the same things. basically, we're helping out with food to our army. to civilians, to children, to people, who stayed here. but, if no one would stay here, they would just die. there are a lot of -- >> no, there are just so many concerns. one of them is that russian troops will eventually encircle
1:13 am
kyiv. that would mean that you wouldn't be able to get supplies in or people out. how worried are you about that? >> al, i know about this, sorry. i don't truly believe in that, because we have a strong army. we have strong people. they will never get inside the city, but as long as they will encircle it, we brought a lot of medicine. we have a lot of food by now. we can go on for, for more than months or two months. i'm not worried about this. i know that will work out. they will never do that. they don't have that much troops and that much army to make this happen. >> alexander, there are some strategist saying the longer and longer putin does not accomplish his goal in kyiv, the greater the risk becomes that there could be a nuclear strike of
1:14 am
some sort. how concerned are you about that? >> ah, well you know there is a risk of half and half, 50% that they can do do it any time, any minute, any second, because he's crazy. he can do it, even when he's signing the peaceful document. i don't think by now he has that crazy people around him. i can say that somebody might stop him of doing that. but this is a chance. that was a chance two years ago, five years ago, as long as he has that red button, he can do it at any time, you know this. >> you know since last we spoke, russian forces have ramped up their attacks on kyiv. what are the streets in kyiv
1:15 am
like, right now? >> i did almost all of the city yesterday. with deliveries, and it is lightly calm. there are people on the streets. not that much. cars are going around the city. as you know, for the last, five days every morning we are waking up with the news, because what they do it. they are bombarding the city early in the morning like 5:00 or 6:00 am. so every time we wake up, we hear four days ago, every citizen of kyiv woke up at 5:00 in the morning hearing this really, powerful explosion. everybody i know. we heard it, because the windows noising. and it was the next day was six strikes over kyiv. the next day two, today in the
1:16 am
morning there were two strikes. we got used to it. i saw people standing in the queue and hearing the siren alarm. there were bombs strikes. people didn't even move, they didn't even run away, because this is like the daily routine. it is really shocking. >> what a way to live. >> it shouldn't be like that. >> thank you for what you're doing to help your people. please stay safe, sir. we go to this fox news alert. speaking with chinese president chi about the war in ukraine. china is yet to condemn the invasion. >> the president labels vladmir putin a murderous dictator and a pure thug. >> as ukraine's suffererring grows as demonstrated in the two, powerful interviews. the president continues to ratchet up his rhetoric against putin after labeling him a war

the crisis is tangible. i'm in warsaw connecticut insulting with-- consulting there are lots of people coming from ukraine to poland right now. indeed, we are concerned. >> ambassador, i want to ask you about the mig poland decided the only way ukraine would get the fighters jets, is if they went through the u.s. air base in germany. why was that decision made? what is your reaction to president biden killing the deal? >> first of all, poland has expressed its readiness to step up our assistance, our military assistance, our assistance in the former military material to ukraine. however, we are a member of nato. we cannot do it on our own. with we are on a close alliance with the united states. once we heard there's a green

cities, in order to break ukranian resistance. as they are bogged down in the ukranian mud. and the military is not able to defeat ukrainians. >> sir, what do your nato and need joe bidenen to do on his visit to the region next week? >> we need more u.s. leadership, in terms of bringing on some of the european reluctant allies to step up our sanctions. for instance, the oil. we have to join the u.s. in their decision on the oil imports embargo. this is a very, major source of russian revenue. and actually this could be introduced quickly. because it is a market commodity. of course, we would pay more for our petrol, but it is the price we can bear for some time, in order to avoid more civilians being killed from the russian aggressive plans being further
