reverberated across this city. russian missiles slamming into an aircraft repair facility, we are told that is literally right next to lviv airport, one of the largest in this country. we are told that those missiles were launched via aircraft from over the black sea. they were kh555 cruise missiles that slammed into the airport there. you can see the thick, black smoke rising from the facility there. we are told by the mayor of lviv, there was no activity at that facility. it is aircraft repair center, but no activity was going on there. we're being told that one person was wounded in the early-morning strike. want to get to the smart question carley asked an hour ago about whether the s-300 air

defense system that slovakia is offering would have made a difference? technically speaking, yes, it could make the difference, in that s-300 are made to shoot down aircraft and it could hit cruise missiles. we should point out that the ukrainians already have effective air defense systems. remember last weekend, 30 missiles were fired at the military base outside of lviv, eight of those hit, which means 22, were shot down. the short answer to your question, carley, which i should have been able to give you an hour ago, it could have made a difference, they have some effective cruise missile systems. >> carley: president biden approved aid. when you see that explosion, you

refugees are trying to get to poland to save their lives. >> jonathan: really good point, todd and it obviously frightens the heck out of the refugees who are flooding here through lviv. this airport area, just about 3-1/2 miles from the city center of lviv, which has been flooded with refugees, some have stayed here, many just using it as transit point trying to get to the safety of countries to the west of ukraine, which include poland, hungary, romania, maldova. this sends a message from the russians, they can hit any point in ukraine and that could include any convoys of refugees that are traveling beyond lviv to the west. it is a frightening message they are getting.
