>> president biden just speaking in poland, where he is getting a firsthand look at the devastating humanitarian crisis that was spawned by vladimir putin's invasion of ukraine parities also gearing up for a major address to the nation tomorrow after a warning putin that using chemical weapons would trigger a response from nato. this is "outnumbered." hello, everyone, i'm kayleigh mcenany. here with me is my cohost, emily compagno. also joining his julie banderas, carley shimkus, and rob smith. a president biden visited u.s. troops in poland just a short time ago as russian air strikes are still pummeling ukrainian cities. with speed 35 left completely destroyed. now we are getting dramatic video showing people there running for their lives after russia bombed that the other that was being used as a

shelter, and it clearly had children marked on it. jeff paul is live in lviv ukraine. >> russian forces might be stalled right now, but there is still a constant happening of bombing and shelling in many cities throughout ukraine. because of that many people who vowed to never leave their country or home city are making that tough choice in trying to get out to find some safety from this nonstop assault. it really comes down to survival for people who are in the besieged city of mariupol they are essentially cut off from the world right now. they don't have food, they don't have water, and really they are trying to get out and get to safety but have to sort of juggle the fact that as we might die from starvation or if we go we might be killed by russian forces. also getting new information surrounding a theater that was bound last week. officials in mariupol say an estimated 300 people were killed.

this is the theater that was bill mike has an enormous inscription of the word "children" in russia written on the outside. ukrainians don't understand why putin seemingly is targeting innocent people. >> he will find military targets is one thing, but what about people? why is he torturing the people? if i had the ability i would cut him piece by piece and look into his eyes. he is a beast. >> strong words there from an 80-year-old ukrainian woman we spoke to today who had to leave her home city. are also learning information about the capital city of kyiv. we are more than a month into this war and russian forces have yet to take the capital city. we are letting from ukrainian's forces that they have pushed some russian forces back as this war grinds down to a halt.

the media here, they are like rooting for the home team. you see a lot of that stuff worldwide. like you said, a lot of the people like these globalist policies and a lot of these people really do like a weekend not strong america. when you look at these interactions between putin and even the first reporter who had to ask the real question, you see him lash out with that trademarks and emptiness and anger. i think that if our journalists both here and abroad were actually doing their jobs -- if they were asking the tough questions that needed to be asked, you would see a lot more of data. trump is absolutely irrelevant in this entire conversation. these people have been in power for well over a year appeared what we see going on right now is nothing good for americans. we see him kind of fumbling on the world stage with the response to this awful russian invasion of ukraine. i'm telling you, it would serve america a lot and it would serve

months. the idea that any of these things that are going on that are hurting americans and will continue to hurt americans over the past months, the idea that this is the directly tied to what's happening in russia and ukraine and along that it's false, so i commend that depends on their space being stupid enough to believe them. >> that's right. i think the attempt by the white house to continue to pull the wool over americanized regardless of whether it's their base or not is so disheartening. it's combined with an apologist mainstream media that furthers it but we remember it as my family business has been suffering for months because of the skyrocketing cost and the lack of the supply chain efficiency, right? before that we were struggling a ton from the hyper regulation under covid. there is a thousand reasons why it's really hard for us every single day and all of those reasons stem from policy of the democrats in this administration or local, inept government. it has nothing to do with putin except uplift on the radar.

>> inflation is at a four-year high. that doesn't happen overnight. and you know the president said that he's going to try and get u.s. farmers to ramp up food production to try to lower prices because of this week shortage, but that's going to be really hard to do because a lot of farmers are maxed out in their input costs are through the roof as well because of inflation. so this is a huge problem. and you look at bowling, there is some recent polls that show that democrats are losing support in all the key groups that usually are surefire democratic voters. it's because of these kitchen table issues. the two biggest ones are the prices, what people -- how people use their money. a lot of people have left money in their pockets right now. and also crime. and the president hasn't offered any solutions for either of them. really what he could do -- you know it's a done -- to texas. have a roundtable discussion

kamala harris rolled into the white house is this is what it's happened. it's always about perceived disrespect and slight spirit i want to go back to what we were talking about previously. i have to disagree, carley, when you are someone as a vein in petty has vice president kamala harris seems to be, that a vogue cover is a very big deal, right? and so i would say this moving forward. when you read all of these insider accounts one of the running themes about a kamala harris seems to be that she doesn't really have any interests in taking on the tough job. she doesn't want to do anything outside of these regular photo ops and fluffy things. this is a running theme of all of these pieces. it doesn't really bring me any pleasure to see her continually fail in this way. i believe in this country. she is the copilot of this country. i would like for her and biden for to both be successful. i think that moving forward if i was going to give kamala harris a bit of advice i would say lean into some of these centrist

leanings that she's already had. when you look at her record as california attorney general this is a centrist. that's something that made her unpopular among the progressives when she was running for president, so i think that if she decided to take a very centrist stance on something, decided to actually take a risk, it really may pay off for her. if she doesn't then were going to be sitting here going over these blunders for the next three years. i don't think that's what anybody wants. >> well let's look back at how this beautiful budding relationship between biden and harris all began in the campaign of 2020. >> it's hurtful to hear you talk about the reputation of two united states senators who built their reputation and career on the segregation of --
