of bucha, is the u.s., the biden administration possibly recalculating the decision when it comes to mid fighter jets? >> that is a great question, carley. i don't know the answer to it but i suspect they are considering it and not just a member of parliament and president zelenskyy that has been saying, "give us the weapons now." every ukrainian feels and i have to tell you, carley, it is an emotional moment right now. because all ukrainians are feeling seeing their fellow citizens in bucha being tortured, and summary executions being summoned and they know in the east, the south in mariupol where we begun to scratch the surface and know the carnage there and continuing to occur at this hour and the ukrainian people are worried about what is happening in these other areas. and of course, they know

wherever they are in this country, it could come to their doorstep. >> todd: it is a horrific humanitarian toll we are witnessing in real time. thank you very much with that. let's bring in burke bryant. we've had him on before the president ceo of humanitarian aid and rescue project. his experience over and ukraine has now gone to another level visiting bucha, burke, how do you begin to describe what you saw? >> well i'm at the first thing i would say is putin is a war criminal, plain and simple. it is no longer being hidden but it's right in front of our face. bucha i remember her and my team has never seen anything like this. there wasn't a single residential home, building, commercial building that hadn't been shelled or bombed. it was as if they drove down the street and took everything, the cars. you can see the snipers in the building up high and shooting at people below. we talked to a group of elderly

people who had taken shelter in the basement but they had to go back with food inside their homes. the russian invaded their homes, blew the doors off, took everything that they needed and executed those people. it didn't matter if 14 or 65, they were ended by this group of people. it is very, very sad. it is also hard to move through that city right now because on top of that, even a simple tree fallen down in the road or cut down is mine. so the mind goes off. so a lot is going on and infiltration taking place with some of the fascination piece we will call them, still trying to get intel in those areas and still making small strides to get the local military, ukrainian military. >> carley: what are people in bucha telling you? you were there saturday. you talk to a lot of residents. what are they saying about what

they experience the past month? >> they are in shock, complete utter shock. they don't really know what to say. most of them have never experienced anything like this in their lives. there was a man from what we could see that was leaving the city on a bicycle with a bag of groceries that was shot down on the side of the road. there was no one spirit. another interesting thing as well, we didn't see a lot of russian soldiers to be honest. maybe it was hearing, mongol leas, checked june i don't know if that is to keep the numbers down on the russian side, but that is mainly the types we saw there on the russian side. >> todd: interesting perspective there. and you are doing amazing work helping rescue children but what can you tell us about that mission? >> you know, our main goal and

always has been is to provide humanitarian aid and work with people that are in need and things like that but we are focusing on the shelter right now. the ukrainian government has been very, very good to us allow us to go in and get them to a safe place. we are thankful for that. right now our primary focus is on children. and we are happy to say we've been extremely successful with those evacuations so far. >> carley: you know, burke, you have the ukrainian minister saying it is the tip of the iceberg. and came out and said the execution strategy is part of putin's war plan. being on the ground in bucha and other cities in ukraine, is there anything happening there that we don't know about that you would like to shine a light on or anything that we are missing or not understanding about this war? >> well, you know mike got to

say the ukrainian people have heart. they are an amazing group of people. sadly, they have to deal with this daily weather themselves, parents, families. but inside bucha, it is not going to be hidden from the public anymore what is happening. bucha will be opening up soon and journalists can show these war crimes. and i certainly hope that someone on this side of russia is accountable for those atrocities. it is just not right what is going on. i don't -- it's a tough one. it is emotional. i think it is all going to come out in the next few days. i certainly hope it does. and that there is accountability that takes place. speak to your organization motto is saving lives and you are very good at it. to donate you can go to

seeing violence against the police officers. 20 years on the job come i've never seen that the way it is. as a police chief -- i will tell you why the we are the way we are. the demoralizing work of police officers. that is what i said when i was police chief in rochester. if we defund the police officers and we defund the police departments we will see crime could skyrocket. last year we were 1 of 1760s that broke that record. we did at leicester 81 homicides. when i was chief of police in rochester in the neighborhoods, people ever said chief come i want to see less police officers. they said we want more police officers. but they never said we want less police officers. and we need politicians who will back there police chief and who will back the police officers right now. we see police officers leap in

to discuss a topic near and dear to my heart, which is supply chain and trucking. to begin with president biden did a wonderful job with the truckers but i think it is something we can agree on. unfortunately, the solutions are vague and ambiguous. the administration is doing a disservice with not a clear path forward. this speech was more focused on recruitment and putting truckers on the road, but nothing was said about retention. 90%, which means 9 out of 10 drivers who retire or go to the field, currently we don't have recruitment problem but we have retention problem. >> carley: pete buttigieg talked about this yesterday. he said over 300,000 people in the trucking industry each year leave the industry, 300,000. that is a massive number. what happens if that continues and how do you keep truck drivers in the job in this critical role?

>> true. well, it certainly doesn't help with inflation supply chain issues we have right now. in order to follow the issue first, we have to pay due wages. the hardworking truckers student to such low wages. we need to incentivize truckers in the industry with a desire career path that people want to retire from. this means less mandate and less regulations. third, we need to make it safe for women who want to work in the field and provide for unique requirement. a comprehensive -- to keep on putting temporary band-aids on the problem. the american taxpayer wants low inflation, lower fuel prices. so we are starting an initiative in new student to do that. >> carley: you mention inflation and the president made a speech focusing on truck driving at a time when inflation is as it is at a 40 year high. do you see any signs the supply chain issue is going back to normal and will we might be able

the city claims irreparable harm would be done to the city of new york if two to 4-year-olds were allowed to choose whether or not to mask in school. we are fighting that state and again trying to get parents back the choice to do what's best for their children. >> todd: michael not to get in the legal leads but a lot of times if you get at the appellate levels, it is very left, liberal. are you worried the decision will be based on politics are not the law and not on logic? >> i am not. i am hoping the courts see how much the science is behind us. we have a really strong constitutional argument that we won at a lower level. i think this is may be a different story in terms of what the court will look at. i'm not on hopeful but in fact, little looking to the court's decision. >> todd: isn't this what most parents want? masks are off work parents and the inner circle say, "we want to masks on." what are using? >> all have a choice as to
