attacks per day. but i also expect ukraine has a great opportunity to prepare. they need to think about doing what worked around kyiv. that is a final link the russian attack forces onto the roads using mines and improvised explosive devices to keep them off the fields and in a place where ukraine can again is its great intelligence the drones and the antitank weapons to push back a new offensive from russia if and when it comes. arthel: so would you say president zelenskyy and his forces have enough forces and military equipment to continue warning off russian military in winnings putin's war against their nation? >> i think they can win, but do they have enough? that is really the key question right now with boris johnson visiting and others we see there is a real effort from the u.s.

and nato to resupply everything from small arms ammunition, which the soldiers need right up to the anti- weapons and air defense. now is the key time to get those supplies in. the good news in arthel it's all that western supply routes that bringing in the road, rail, air are still open and not under attack so we can resupply ukraine. arthel: and how quickly? >> as quickly as possible. it just depends. once it gets to poland and the other countries it can move and pretty fast. but when you are looking at getting more javelins into production that can be difficult. they are really trying to round up everything from around the alliance. it's great to see slovakia bringing in an s300 air system. it's a rush everything into ukraine before the next russian offensive gathers up. arthel: oh boy we hope this can be over and over soon pretty want ukraine to end this period,

station the one area of cooperation between our two countries, what happens if they pull out? >> well you know the optics right now are really not very good. especially we are seeing every day the killing of innocent men, women, children in ukraine and here we are cooperating with the russians up on the international space station. but i do not see the russians leaving. we signed in 1998 a state department level memo of understanding between the united states, russia, europe, japan and canada for the operations of the space station. there really is no mechanism for any of the partners to leave. if russians decided to leave we could certainly operates the iss without them. but right now there's simply no mechanism to see that partnership ended. >> right now they are providing -- one thing they are providing is a way to get up

there. do we see alternative ways to do that? and what their potential loss which you don't think is going to happen with that have such an adverse impact on the iss that it cannot operate anymore? >> no not at all. as a matter fact most likely we will suspend curing any of our astronauts up on their voyages in the future we have the dragon will soon have the starter liner. we've got a couple of ways to get our folks up there the europeans and the canadians and the japanese as well. so we don't really need them but one thing they have been doing is boosting the space station to a safe orbit every few months. we also have the capability of doing that right now. essentially if the russians decided to leave the impact would beat mostly down on the ground. they do keep track of some of the operations on the station from their operations in moscow. but if that went away we would work around it.

after the soviet union had fallen we really negotiated with the russians to cope operate the international space station. working with the russians can be pretty direct and pretty graphic. you have to get a little bit gruff right back with them and make sure you are able to sustain operations and work with them for it i really never had any problem with the russians at all. you don't really at a technical level but again, this is the international space station in our agreement is at a higher level the state department level and it's at the national space council level. i would really like for the vice president was in charge of the national space council to bring together including the russians and let's discuss rather than yelling at each other over twitter what's really discuss are going to continue operations on the international space station or if one of our partners wants to leave, bid them farewell and let's keep going. store your pilot you wrote the

their life from all spectrums, all different backgrounds. my oldest is 15 i'm just about to get into all these different things or make kids start dating there introduced all these other things i have not gone through to have a chance to talk to some of the dads who are now grandfathers has a just been so rewarding to myself. i know it has helped so many other dads out there as well. arthel: i have a question for you, how can females help men become good fathers? >> i think listening to podcasts like first class of fatherhood, reading a book to see were dads are coming from her there something in there for the bombs, for the wives in there as well but even if it is just to get an idea of where the men are coming from this also guys who may be interested in listening to i had several of the backstreet boys on there a lot of reality tv show starts on there for there's something in there for everybody. arthel: but what would you say is the answer to that question, you personally? >> as far as what? >> how can females help men become better fathers?

>> i would think by listening and by being there for them. and listen, i think right now we are seeing the breakdown of our nuclear family unit in this country. whatever we can do to nourish the family unit is going to benefit the entire country, the entire society the community as well. so women as well as men husbands and fathers, husbands and wives, moms and dads need to be there for one another listen to where each others coming from, tried to show support and listen to other moms and wives that have been there and done that to try to get some advice where they can think that is the best thing part find somebody has had some success and listen to them success is certainly a blueprint for a. >> listing is really key. here's another one for you for i know you said you are a father for. what what is the difference between being a father and being a dad? >> i am not a biologist but i think anybody can really be a dad. but to be a father you really have got to be involved in your kids lives we have a father was crisis going on in our country it's the number one social issue

we are having going on. if we could just bring our dad back into the lives of our children think 90% the problems are seeing in this country start to dissolve pretty quickly pretty anybody can have a kid yes we know that. but being a dad takes a whole lot more commitment it's about becoming a better person being at dad's being a better man. there are spectrums of my life i never could've imagined before i had kids now that i have them i love to learn, grow, develop, change along with them they teach me more about myself than i am teaching them at times very. >> at this point in your life i know changes over the course of time but what are they teaching you, your children teaching you about yourself at this moment? >> i would say patience is the number one thing right there i'm learning a lot have two teenagers in the house right now it's funny how quickly we forget we were teenagers at one point. now i know what my parents were talking about i am someone who lost both of my peers before became a father myself and i do not have them to lean on to ask questions or advice from. i am kind of open and honest

with them about some of the mistakes i made and willing to apologize and say hey listen i am trying to learn this as well. i have never done this before bear with me i don't think i remember my dad telling me sorry for anything. something i find myself doing and not a preacher of my kids especially want to punish the wrong kid for the wrong crime. it all day long. they've been jumping from course to course try to get to these warlike scenarios as quickly as they possibly can. that brings us to this particular course is called the demolition because the rangers get to blow stuff up. who doesn't love that. ranger teams, two at a time run over to the tables you see here for they have to pick up the pen, right on some paper they have to take a test to know the essentials of what is called an exterior door reaching charges. it's basically an explosive, erica. once they are finished with that they get ten minutes to put together the exterior and check exterior door reaching charge for the run the wire down to the door if you can show the door down there at the end of the lanes and just imagine that is a building braid they need to get excited to engage a high value target. once they have got their charge connected they run back up. they jump into these bunkers that you see over here and they let it rip.
