tv   The Ingraham Angle  FOX News  April 12, 2022 12:00am-1:00am PDT

12:00 am
we hope you'll set your dvr so you never miss an episode of hannity. we're going to go early. it's been a while since we've tossed our good friend laura ingraham. let not your heart be troubled . the ingram angle and laura ingram take it from here we have had this toss opportunity for a long time. how are you and you and you've missed it. admit it, you've missed it. you go right to a break. it is yeah but you you know obviously we had a lot of breaking news for the last number of weeks so there's a reason for it. we had we have to do with right . >> we will try to pick it up where you left off hannity. great to see you. great to be actually able to talk you. all right. i'm laura ingram . this is ingraham angle from washington tonight . let's get right to it. crooked democracy crusaders. that's the focus of tonight's angle. oh , the globalists are so mad now the same people
12:01 am
who claim to be the great defenders of democracy can elections when they don't like the outcomes. such was the case after french presidential candidate marine le pen won a runoff spot yesterday against elite favorite emmanuel macron for the white house perspective, they must be watching this watching with great concern that if le pen were to win, that would first of all just change europe as we know it and the european union could collapse. it would be brexit as what people have said after brexit. that's one of vladimir putin's hopes that over time opening fissures will begin to emerge in the west. now whatever you think about le pen and her ideas, what the msnbc crew can't fathom is as millions of unhappy voters in france are saying no to the status quo, they don't believe that macron or the other mainstream parties can make things better for french workers. now we've seen similar dynamics in recent elections in hungary and in poland and in britain, of course, during the debate over brexit. now the media never figures
12:02 am
out. they just complain as always that democracy is on the line in france. it's not macron's fault for being a bad politician. it's the voters fault for questioning the elites. now they even claim that france is facing an attack on its democracy. now this is just ridiculous hogwash. but it's what they did when trump won in twenty sixteen . remember now these are all lies . yes. they're not going to stop now in anticipation of a november rout here, they're desperate to change election rules. well, i fully expect a covered variant mail in ballot whoosh. oh, yes. now in fact in march of 2020 one biden remember issued an executive order on supposedly voting access that few republicans seem prepared for. it's a backdoor of way to federalize the state run voter registration and ballot process. now claim that in our country which remember elected barack obama twice, minorities, they say still face significant
12:03 am
barriers to voting, specifically claiming that these voters remain more likely to face long lines at the polls and are disproportionately burdened by other id laws and limited opportunities to vote by mail and then directing that federal agencies this executive order consider ways to expand voter registration, including through vote by mail application forms of online systems and helping applicants complete their voter registration forms. the executive order also states that agencies shall solicit non nonpartisan third party organizations to provide voter registration services. >> oh don't worry, they have to be approved by the biden administration. these third party outlets now this is an obvious effort to help the democratic party and hurt biden's critics. first, the democrats claim that black people for some reason don't have the access to ids to vote.
12:04 am
this is laughable. second, this executive order opens the door to all sorts of federal mischief making in the state run election process. now once again, look for a dozen mail in ballot registrations to arrive at your house in the mail this fall. i fully expect this and maybe you'll get a visit from, i don't know, a nice fellow with a man bun from vogue who wants you to help help you fill it out just in case you don't understand it and don't forget if you're against mail in ballots or a month or two of early voting, you're just a closet autocrat. you sure is who we choose democracy over autocracy. what do you stand against voter suppression? >> yes or no? it is absolutely essential for our democracy that we win. i fear for our democracy weathertech get the gavel. we can't let that happen. democracy is on the ballot in november now the sad truth
12:05 am
is they don't believe in democracy unless they win big they'll not take one millisecond to think that maybe it's time to reexamine their priorities, their policies, even their tone that they use when talking about the voters, it's like they're seeing their house is on fire and yet they're reaching for a cigaret. do these people even know unpopular they are right now on right direction versus wrong direction. almost 65% of americans say now we're headed in the wrong direction. biden's job approval is at a pathetic forty one point four percent and the rcp average and the gop is leading the democrats. this is stunning in the generic congressional vote now how do they explain this blaming on trump? i don't blame it on fox news living on putin, anyone but on themselves and their lousy policies that sent prices soaring for gas, electricity and food.
12:06 am
now the problem is that the establishment is devoted to those policies and those are the policies that hurt americans most. they trust things like international organizations, globalization and of course virtually unfettered trade with china. the bushes, the clintons, the obamas, they were all in favor of policies that forced the industrialization of america and of course, our middle class shrank as their jobs were off short turns out big shocker. none of that is popular. not here, not in france and not in the uk and rather than admit this and do the basic work of democracy, which is to make your voters happy, the davos crowd doubles down on failure and then they trash their political opponents as fascists. nice trick. yet the more they lash out, i'm telling you, the more desperate they appear. republican have no agenda. they're simply the mouths of
12:07 am
a cult. they're going to use all kinds of dog whistles and probably just straight out racially charged whistles. there are a group of right wing republicans who really think of putin as this kind of white christian say savior of civilization. we don't know what's going to happen in the french election in a few weeks. but if macron only is able to eke out victory by a small margin, we all know the elites everywhere are losing ground. they claim to be the only true defenders of democracy. but every day fewer people believe them. do they think we aren't aware that for the past twenty years these same people have been ardently pro china obsessed with integration with china, with trade and technology sharing. hech china crushes all political dissent all the time . yet our establishment is thrilled to welcome three hundred and seventy thousand
12:08 am
chinese students to our colleges and universities. that's how china is rewarded. they've not even stopped china buying our land for goodness sakes. you're just not serious about protecting democracy anywhere as long as you're helping china . so this brings me to a question tonight when will we see a tipping point maybe what's happening shanghai will help. president xi has ordered the forcible covid lockdown of twenty three million people there with military officials patrolling the streets and locking people in their apartments. a cnn reporter living there seems stunned if you think wuhan 2020 was bad, welcome to shanghai 2020 two. this has been like no other lockdown and it's in the country's cosmopolitan and most affluent financial hub of all places. of course they're doing this . they have zero respect for human life, let alone any right to self-determination. again, the country our elites
12:09 am
including biden have consistently defended is engaged in a campaign of forced starvation. yes, i'm saying it for starvation masquerading as a covert control. if anyone in the democratic party or the media actually believes in democracy and freedom, they shouldn't be fear mongering about le pen or orben or trump and his supporters because our biggest problem is in beijing and the future of democracy depends on america admitting that it's time to make a change in policy. and that's the angle. joining me now is steven miller, former senior adviser to president trump and founder of america first legal. steven, i don't think people have made enough of these executive orders from biden seeking in the way he can to try to federalize elections. what are we missing here about this executive order specifically from last march? >> well, i think you're
12:10 am
completely right. it was an executive order that got relatively little attention at the time using the full weight the federal government agency by agency to push mail in voting everywhere they can using every tool and resource they can. and so in other words, they were trying to take the tactics used by mark zuckerberg to privatize our elections to establish these anonymous drop boxes where we've now seen what have been called mules or traffickers putting in these massive numbers of ballots unverified, anonymous, unknown and now they're trying to take that and moving into every single part of the country they can. that would mean the end of election security forever. and in that sense it would be a direct attack on american democracy because nothing's more fundamental to democracy than the security and the sanctity of the citizens vote. well, i think it's particularly disturbing in that executive order, that section i highlighted about empowering
12:11 am
third party organizations. >> yes. to push the filling out of the ballots, the ballot registration application and so forth and explaining to people what they need to know. a supposedly nonprofit, an institution or organization doing that . >> i found that to be very disturbing. well, that was exactly that was exactly the scheme that mark zuckerberg pulled off in the 2020 election where he spent over four hundred million dollars working to administer the elections in key districts that had a democrat lean in swing states. and even though it was done under the auspices of being quote non partisan, in other words what is known as a 501 c three, it was explicitly partisan. it was targeted the voter registration and engagement and dropbox efforts were all
12:12 am
targeted in key democrats strongholds in swing states. and so they're clearly trying to use that exact same system that mark zuckerberg used and entrench it even further. and i would say that republicans in congress must must subpoena mark zuckerberg to get to the bottom of this in the next congress so they have the majority and now the media doing everything they can to undermine confidence in our election over this voter integrity law, fakery that they're pulling. here's kay. we're at a moment where it's not just potentially republicans who aren't going to trust the democratic system if we have a 2024 election where there's been so much change, so many changes to the voting laws, democrats won't believe the system either. this is exactly what xi jinping ,what vladimir putin, what viktor orban is exactly
12:13 am
what they want. a lot of times he tries to tie in the autocrats when those same people are protecting china, as i said. and the angle at every turn they work to protect china. well, first of all, it's well known that vladimir putin is the mastermind behind the dastardly plan of voter id . he's the one who actually invented the driver's license, i'm told. i mean, the whole notion that there is anything improper about asking people to present and i.d. before they vote, this is the most basic minimum baseline for election security every single voter should not only have to present an i.d. but they should also have to demonstrate to be a lawfully registered voter that they're a citizen of the country. you're talking about foreign interference in our elections. yeah, possible that we don't even verify citizenship. stephen , great to see you tonight . thank you . and speaking of these desperate scare tactics, my next guest argues in a new op ed that they
12:14 am
won't save democrats in the midterms. joining me now, former speaker of the house fox news contributor newt gingrich. he's also the author of the upcoming book defeating big government socialism available for preorder now newt. so those people are crowing the most about this kind of this tenuous grasp on democracy are the ones working the hardest to undermine it? well, let me say first of all, i thought your opening monologue was beyond terrific and i thought you captured exactly where we are not just here but around the world the whole effort by the elites to hold on to power no matter what . look, here's the core problem for the democrats. they apparently have signaled that they know in advance that tomorrow's inflation numbers are going to be staggering. they have this game where they talk about it being putin's price hike. nobody believes that . and so they've got an average of everyday voters, whether
12:15 am
they're african-american and latino, white, asian. it doesn't matter. they're going to the gas station. they're trying to buy fill up their tank. the last time i did it was close to was ninety two dollars. they're then going to the grocery store. they're trying to buy groceries. everything's more expensive and i don't care how the democrats message is how are you going to get people to be more frightened of some theoretical problem? you know, donald trump in twenty twenty four than the reality that people are watching the system break down. they're watching 18000 people a day projected to come across a southern border. that's the city of atlanta. every single month they're watching rising crime rates rising carjackings and they're looking around thinking none of this is working. so the democrat problem is you can't scare people enough with some political theory when
12:16 am
they're already being frightened by the reality you've created. now to your point about this messaging, newt msnbc decided to drag out i think new york city's or mayor to offer his trenchant perspective on what joe biden is a good messenger here. you can relate to him across the ideological spectrum. he actually has the ability to reach every day working people . but what we're not hearing is the message of i asked around the table what his democratic message right now half a year out from an election. i don't know what that message is, newt. i i'm going to like just burst out laughing on national tv because they actually think they have a messaging problem. they don't think there's something wrong or that is that is such a low blow. i can't believe you did. bill de blasio is arguably the worst mayor in the history
12:17 am
of new york . now, i think it's fair to say biden is working his way towards being the worst president in history, united states and certainly i think kamala harris has already won the award as the dumbest person ever elected vice president. but to bring bill de blasio to joe biden i think is just cruelty. now, newt, it's great to see tonight as always and i look forward to reading your book. i have way i have time for one more question. i say oh, yes and newt, your new book, this is what i wanted to ask you about the screen went blank, but it's coming out in just a short while. young people especially i think need to read this book because all they hear in school too often is that government will take care of the problem if we only had more government spending will save the planet if we only. so why is this important now? well, it's important because when we did some work on the american majority
12:18 am
project, we found that if you put free market capitalism against big government socialism, it was fifty nine to sixteen . if people were given a choice and if you ask swing voters who was eighty two to eighteen and the reason is young people who might have said well socialism sounds good when you put big government with socialism they go are you crazy because they have a pretty good idea. big government just doesn't work is a huge amount of money, huge bureaucracy and very little product. and i think in that sense big government socialism is the beginning of the end of the democratic party as a serious competitor. let's see if the national library association actually gets your book and the school library parents should lobby to make that happen. and that's what that's what needs to happen. newt, thank and remember that you can't watch live make sure to set a series record on your dvr so you don't miss us every weeknight, 10:00 pm. but next , the democrats dangerous games at the border sparking a new challenge.
12:19 am
plus, the gop sees an opening with black voters and they're finally acting on it. one of our candidates, our most impressive is up next . >> stay with us. i am

12:24 am
now this show was the first to entertain the idea at the biden administration's border. immigration policies alone were an impeachable offensean and now we have a new reason he knew it over a year ago. as" r the new york times reports that in march 2020 one biden was livid. he had been in office only two a months and there was already a crisis at the southwest border and his aides were blaming one another. mr. biden grew so angry at their attempts to duckha responsibility that erupted. who do i need to fire to fix this ? he was apparently so livid. all right. he conti that he continued to undermine trump's successful policies and in the process t allow two million plus border crossings. so just likeid covid,, i think some red states have said enough and that includes alabama where attorney general i steve marshall is suing the administration for ignoring immigration law. he joins us now.w. mr. attorney general, goodmr to see you. now. ve to hit t first off, i got a hit that supposed biden being livid.
12:25 am
do you buy that ? that sounds like such you know, such clean up on aisle four given what's going on that? well, biden really wanted it fixed, but it was other people who didn't fix. yeah.ted i he was son interested in getting it fixed. we would have had a 100 dayat moratorium is one of the first acts of this administration and we've seen in multiple efforts by alabama and other states in pushing back on the immigration efforts of this administrations . 's an oua they're continuing to lose in court and frankly, it's an outrage that we had to file the case this week just to simply get the biden administration to do their job . now so far this fiscal year, customs and border protection, they've seized over sixty seven thousand pounds of marijuana, seventy eight thousand pounds of meth, twenty three thousand pounds of coke and over 4000 pounds of fentanyl. >> now how bad is it in alabama? i mean, we knowr it's all over the country, but how bad isis it there? they don't people don't think of alabama as a you know, a drug infested state.
12:26 am
>> but what's happened there? we yeah, we're not a border state 8 .entanyl louis's eight pounds of fentanyl just last week with good efforts of lawbo enforcement on the border. and as you've describedescribedy times on this show about the absolute siege the cartels imposing upon this country with clandestineut drugs coming across our border.d and we talk an awful lot aboutth the deaths during covid. but if you look at that same period of time between 18 and forty five , we lost more people in this country to overdose deaths and the age group than we did to covid. you know, it's a significant problem and yet we have this administration now who doesn't want to deport drug traffickers. grigorievffickers ated felons wt into our communities are here unlawfully who violated our criminal laws, but they don'taw want to deport them and sendfu them homee and hopefully our lawsuit is one of the ways of forcing this administration to do what congress told them they shall do and that's to send these individuals back homee. mr. attorney general, i've floated this idea if a phone call does the leonski is
12:27 am
that that's the standard for an impeachable offense. how is this not an impeachable offense, a conspiracy to undermine us sovereignty and use immigration law?an i mean, how is that not to that ? yeah, it's an absolute dereliction of duty. you've seen this administration on countless occasions do everything they canon to enhance border crossings, not to beur able to secure our border, not to be border control, to be able to do their jobs. and the net result of that is g not only our communities being less safe but also we'reo allowing people that congress has already identified as more likely to commit crimes and commit crimes once they're released and that is those that this administration is noto deporting and sending back to the countries where they came from. well, i'm going to follow this lawsuit very closely. and again, attorney general marshall, thank you . he described alabama as a superhighway for fontanel and other human trafficking and so forth. t it's it's shocking.
12:28 am
thank you for doing what you're doing. and given biden's myriad failures, democratsd are preparing for the worst this november. what they might not have realized is how severe that beating could be. the only constituency the party actually seems to have left nowe are white, college c educated women is it is i guess that environment that the new york times has written that jackson confirmation aside gop sees an opening with black voters. what an odd sentencete one congressional candidate quoted in that piece, jennifer ruthoted j green joins us now. jennifer, ruth, good to see you now.w. first of all, i want to go back to what was said in thegl angle tonight about democrats believingar that african-americans don't have apparently the capacityenno get voter i.d. at the same level as others. >> your reaction to that ? first off, wow. in this country we need ids for
12:29 am
literally everything and it's honestly insulting to say that black americans can't get ids, won'te get them. it's just a trojan horse and another hat trick to continue to politicize race that we consistently see from the top and the elites and the democrats consistently striving to use race to pander. they're not focusedth on the clear things like electione integrity. focused they're just focused on getting democrats elected and it's shamefultsha. what do americans tonight watching need to knowig about changes in thee electorate, especially as democrats? wt gingric as newt gingrich said, they tryh to paint this picture as republicans or independents as appropriateepdent. and what are they talking about like they're proposing? it's pluton garci blaming fox never looking in the mirror i what americans need to know about the changing black voting landscape. >> black people, african-americans, we are not a monolithic. an't continu
12:30 am
right.e and you can't just continue tocl conceptualize us as a single factor. we are not stupid and we see the clarity of all of the failures that continue to exist. we the crazy s skyrocketingng prices. we see the energy costs that we're continuing to pay for. we see the poor border security. we see the poor internationalre relations and that continuous and so black voters are not stupid. and as we continue to focus just in general about seeingwe how 18 months ago we were better off as a country, we're going to continue to see black voters reengage and see and focus on the truth. >> now i want to play somethingn from ang old friend of yours, l sharpton. here's he says that the democrats need to get the message out to black voters. >> watch. when you talk to black voters did notot get the john lewis bill passed. we did not get to george just
12:31 am
as bill. but what did we do? do? well, biden put more blacks on the federal courts than allha presidents combined. nobody knows. to but you've got to put your message out and what we've done why it makes a difference what it means to you at home, not the washington beltway crowd. jennifer, is that the righte message for african-american voters? >> absolutely not. the focus has to be on we kepte our promises. we did what we were supposed to do in america is better for it and 100% president biden and democrats liberal elites cannot say that nancy pelosi, frank t marvan, president biden, they're all on the same page, extensive failures and a clearur lack of vision for our countryy and they cannot get away from being the scapegoats that they are for the decisionshe that they've made. and that approach will not work because once again, black votersla are not ignorant toio the realities of the situations we face in america. high gas prices, high food prices. are you better off than youe s
12:32 am
were three years ago too? if you're going to say no, that's a simple question.lo simple question. and they're losing every time. jennifer, thank . we'll be watching the race closely. and joe biden sought tocl outlaw what they're calling goes guns at the white house event today. but the some guests were unexpectedly targeted by the president raymondec arroyo has the video for us . >> seen and unseen is next . upe with that we bring too see got the rapid wrap represents the revolutionary mcrostie the fertilizer that will change the way you grow. you read the clues to that student to school that student to school green grass and just peek at the growing grass this vast everything else justt seems on tv. let's get to new york now. got milonov today for your first one on plan so your home is expensive and stressful. so we set out to create

12:38 am
and coach tony dungy, who was also there , they view this as a major crisis and it is if you look over the last many decades, one of the worst b social trends has been the decline of fatherhood, a brown prison ministry. he wanted me to go with him and i remember driving homeat from that trip and asking reverend brown how do thoseo young boys get here and he told me it's not socioeconomic. it's not racial, it's not education. it's none of that 95% of theseh boys did not grow up with their dad. laura , this is the nexus of what ails so much of our society and this initiative is so needed. you'll remember i appointed youe as well when president obama unveiled his fatherhood initiative back in 2009. sputterednitiativeve out after a few speeches, though obama wasr present fathr to his girls, which was a big plus to santos today had
12:39 am
his daughters beside him. but fatherlessness has real . nsequences according to the justice department, it accounts for 63% of youth suicides, 90% of runaway homeless youth and 70 percent of young peoplef in state institutions all due to fatherless homes. hom this is a crisis in our society and good on rhonda santos for recognizingn the florida legislature for doing something about absolutely. >> raymond and i have my kids don't have a dad and i thank god every a day that i hae like each of them has two godfathers. so there including you. so but they're all very involved in my kid'sol well, it is it is very difficult. and santos is attempting to create mentorship programs that woulds' a find men to to fl the place of dads that aren't on the scene in some of these t homes. so another crisis is brewingng in washingtonnho. president biden's numbers are eroding across the boarder. he's hemorrhaging younghe and african-american voters. well, today rather than
12:40 am
