>> tucker: that's it for us tonight, we are out of time. the good news is, we will be back every weeknight, 8:00 p.m., show us a sworn enemy of line, positive, smugness and groupthink. see you tomorrow. ♪ ♪ >> sean: welcome to "hannity." tonight, democrats are in a full panic, their socialist policies are a disaster. their poll numbers are imploding, their president is a dishonest, corrupt, and cognitive wreck in their war on free speech is now being challenged in a huge way by elon musk who is attempting to take over their favorite social media platform, that is twitter. we will have a lot more on that later in the program, but first we are at the beginning of what is another long weekend away from the white house for the leader of the free world. today, before jetting off to
6:01 pm
camp david, joe biden took some time to blame the war in ukraine and all of his failures on somebody. take a look. >> president biden: putin's invasion of ukraine has driven up gas prices all over the world. ukraine and russia are the one and two largest producers in the world. we are number three. shut down. we saw that yesterday's inflation data. what people don't know is that 70% of the increase in inflation was a consequence of his price hike because of the impact on oil prices. 70%. we need -- we need to address these high prices, and urgently. for working folks out there. >> sean: all of that is a complete and utter lie. who is he shaking hands with? shake -- there's nobody there. we are nearly 15 months into his presidency. everything is going wrong, and i mean everything.
6:02 pm
i can't name a single thing that's going right. by the way, anybody surprised, biden cannot even do simple fundamental basic tasks. he turns around -- nobody there to shake his hand and he keeps his hand out there. are you kidding me? meanwhile, inflation at a 40 year high and getting higher. food costs, the cost of every item you buy in every store is now going through the roof. energy costs. you've never been paid more in history for a gallon of gasoline and the cost to heat and cool your home is through the roof. on top of that, rents have now increased by over 17%. interest rates i read today it's about 5% for a 30-year fixed. wasn't that long ago you were getting it in the 2s. they are rising fast. the wages are down by 3% and biden's green new deal economy is now a living nightmare for you, the american people, for all of us. but remember, according to the administration, america's historic inflation has nothing to do with biden's trillions of

dollars in new handouts and the record-setting energy costs have nothing to do with biden's restrictions on oil and gas. you can see right from the charts, we will keep putting them up and down, up is down, down is up in their weird world. and by the way, everything bad that happens is vladimir putin's fault and as those graphs show, that is a lie. and thankfully, americans can see through the total, well, bull-schiff, as in adam schiff. >> president biden is trying to label this putin's price hike but most americans according to a news poll are not buying that, only 6% blame putin, most believe president biden's policies are very much to blame. >> sean: knew paul from quinnipiac that just came out yesterday, biden's approval rating at an all-time low. look at this, 33%. that's it. his approval among hispanic americans is even lower. 26%. biden is underwater by double
6:04 pm
digits in five recent polls, but americans aren't just unhappy about the economy, they also disapprove about -- of biden's handling of ukraine, crime, covid, and of course the disaster of the southern border, never mind the disastrous pull out in the islamic emirates of afghanistan where he abandoned americans, fellow green card holders, illegally eligible to be here, left billions in high-tech military equipment, some $80 billion worth, abandon our afghan allies. tonight as biden extends the mask mandates on americans traveling on trains and planes, guess what? preferential treatment. he's lifting all covid restrictions on illegal immigrants that are pouring across the border. isn't that great? may 23rd, title 42 will be lifted, preventing the federal government from expelling migrants over covid-19 concerns, and that means more massive migrant caravans, they are on the way.
6:05 pm
a majority of americans believe biden is making a huge mistake, and for good reason, because right on cue, the first of what will be many caravans is only days away. this problem at the border is so bad and about to get so much worse. in fact, border officials are now bracing for more than a half a million migrant encounters next month alone. instead of fixing the problem, reinstating president trump's successful border policies, building the wall, bringing back "remain in mexico" policy, ending catch and process and release, well, the biden administration, they are now considering a plan to take va doctors out of va hospitals so those va doctors for our vets can assist with the ongoing crisis. in other words, they will take away doctors from our va hospitals, from american veterans, to provide their services to illegal immigrants. does that sit right with you? because that does not sit right with me.
6:06 pm
biden and the far left climate socialist around him are literally destroying the country right before our eyes. it is so bad even late-night liberal host bill maher has issued this morning. they won't heat it, but they should, to his fellow democrats. >> there is a hunger for, i think, in america more than anything is common sense that away from the extremes -- when people say to me, you know, don't you think you've got more conservative? no, i haven't. the left has gotten goofier. so i seem more conservative maybe, but it's not me who changed. i feel i'm the same guy. i am always saying to the democrats, just don't be the party of no common sense and you will be surprised at how much amazing success you will have as opposed to what's going to happen, which is there going to get kicked in november. >> sean: by the way, i finally

6:13 pm
safety and security, decent education, common sense when it comes to things like what we are going to teach children. i think it's a whole lot less horizontal and i think sometimes politics ends up being completely horizontal by the practitioners of politics, that the candidates and the officeholders. everything is left, right, liberal, conservative, democrat, republican, but what republicans are to focus on its vertical issues. we ought to focus on things getting better, not worse, things going up, not down, tell people that if they elect us we will get things back on track. the average american family is going to lose $3500 just this year in expenses because of the biden economy. that is something every family feels, so that's a vertical issue. that's not horizontal, we are not asking to become conservatives, republicans, or joined to the right, we are saying let's make america a better place for your family. that's how we win the election, but it's also how we get a
6:14 pm
mandate to do some things when we win. >> sean: i agree with that in every way. i believe law and order, victor davis hanson i know you are doing a class for hillsdale college, which i'm glad to hear. but law and order, safe schools for their kids, safe neighborhoods to grow up in. i think lower taxes, secure borders, illegal immigration, lower gas prices, eliminating this record high inflation that is, you know, according to bloomberg, costing $5200 per household and an inflation tax. families cannot afford this, professor. >> yeah, i think with the middle class has concluded already, and they can't change it, there's not enough time before the election, is that these very elite democratic politicians and media functionaries, and they are the party now of the very wealthy. there never subject to the consequences of their own ideology.
6:15 pm
they have the money, they have the zip code, they have the connections. they have walls around their home, they don't care about walls on the border, they go to charters -- you know, they go to charter schools or prep school, private charter school, they don't care what the public school. they are for teachers unions, but their kids are never in a class with the teachers union. they all want a high energy prices because they have the money to buy, you know, tesla or whatever, a lot of these communities are saying they took me for granted, but more importantly, they are forcing down my throat these policies that are destroying my aspirations to be an american. and yet when i look at them, they don't sacrifice. they are immune. they have all this privilege, and they call everybody privileged but they are the privileged one. it's on us psychological projection that radiates their own guilt. >> sean: well said, victor davis hansen, thank you. governor huckabee, always good to see you as well. thanks. we turn our attention once again
6:16 pm
to the biden family syndicate. for two years we have been -- actually longer than that -- we have been raising concerns about joe biden's family's sketchy business partners, including zero-experience hunter biden and his association with the net view of notorious boston gangster and a story totally ignored by the media mob. remember "whitey" bulger? his mid nephew played a key role in hunter 'chinese adventures. here with more, miranda devine along with former assistant secretary of the treasury, monica crowley. you wrote the laptop from hell, you got a copy of the laptop, my lawyer would not allow me to take it. that's an interesting story in it of itself. but more importantly, i want to go into this connection and more importantly than that, how it all ties back to joe biden and how he's been proven to have lied when he said he never talked to his son about his foreign business dealings.
6:17 pm
>> well, sean, i think it's pretty clear that joe biden did have a lot to do with hunter biden's overseas business partners. he met many of them. he met them from all sorts of countries ranging from china to russia to ukraine and kazakhstan and mexico. and he met one of his business partners in beijing when he flew hunter in to china on air force two. when he was going to have some high-level meetings with president xi jinping at the ccp. so it just does not pass the sniff test. it's kind of observe that the white house is still trying to run that line that joe biden knew nothing about his son's overseas business dealings. no exactly what was -- maybe he didn't know the details, but he knew what hunter was up to, he was doing it in his name. >> sean: we have pictures, monica crowley, of joe biden with foreign business partners

from mexico and foreign business partners from kazakhstan, but -- and the lecture that he gave his mexican's and his partner, which was oh, i brought you to the white house all these times, i brought you to meet my father all these times, you haven't given me anything yet. so clearly there was a quid pro quo expectation. here's my question though. with all the money that this family syndicate got from china and the deals they got from china and the money they got from a russian oligarch, former first lady of moscow, millions of dollars, the money they got from a kazakhstan oligarch, the millions that hunter got from ukraine with -- and joe leverages a billion taxpayer dollars to fire the prosecutor investigating his son being paid millions with no experience, if the name was trump and it was donald trump jr. or eric trump or ivanka trump or barron trump or tiffany trump, don't you
6:19 pm
think the media would handle this a lot differently? >> i think the question answers itself, sean. i think the answer is very obvious that of course if this were any member of the trump family, there would be -- would be on the 15th impeachment of donald trump. the double standard is so clear. we've got deep, deep corruption with this family that's gone on for decades, influence peddling into the biden family business. we got long paper trails, sean, of the corruption of not just hunter, but joe. i mean, this is a joe biden story, and we know the famous 10% for the big guy, but now we've also got emails and texts indicating that joe biden had hunter the bagman for the biden family actually turning over 50% of their ill-gotten gains. >> sean: okay. wouldn't there be, shouldn't there be an investigation, is joe biden compromised by china and russia and ukraine and
6:20 pm
kazakhstan? because that's really the question here. it would appear, according to these emails, he not only knew what he profited from these deals. that would mean that we potentially have a president that is completely compromised. where is that investigation? >> i think there is an investigation going on in delaware into hunter biden and various aspects of his foreign business dealings and i think that from the questions that we understand have been asked of some of the witnesses, such as who is the big guy, it seems that they are starting to look at joe biden because joe biden is the big guy, as tony told us. >> sean: monica crowley, thank you. aranda, always great to see you, get her book, a lot of information in there, worth the read. when we come back we will bring you the latest on today's breaking story that elon musk has offered to buy twitter. i'm having a hard time understanding why the left does not like the guy that builds electric cars. they're losing their mind over this.
