issue and that's what we are seeing the mass cancellations across the board. >> i'm glad it's not a safety issue because i was going to ask that of course people are thinking wait a minute in my safe up there? you are saying we still are. so are the airlines, kyle are they being disingenuous adding more flights knowing they don't have enough pilots to fly the planes but they are selling the tickets and keeping passengers stranded? the airlines are going to force her to lay and cancel flights just like today they are ready know selling the tickets bringing it to the airport, went to sit on the tarmac or sit at the airport and canceling and now we pay this money we have taken the time off, people are saving money to take these trips especially this time of the year. and then they are left holding the bag so to speak. some of this is on the airline so you think? >> it is typically a balancing act they have to play. they have increased passengers from poster pandemic but yet not

enough pilots, not in a flight attendant said. i think some of this is a little overhyped as far as the pilot fatigue goes. one thing to keep in mind to a lot of the pilot to see in a typical flight do not live in the city where the hub is. so for example he could be flying on united out of newark and that pilot actually lives in say columbus, ohio. so he is working four days a week is three days off he is spending a full day commuting to that hub to be at work for that duty of flying that airplane. one thing we pretty much can control the faa can regulate up to eight hour days and flying you need between nine and 11 hours off between flights depending on how long that flight is. but you can't really control is the pilot getting quality sleep at night time? is he up at night? a lot of these pilots are and crash pads it's basically apartments near the airport you have ten or 20 pilots chipping

in so they can be closely hub airports. this whole thing pretty much has to be looked at. some companies own their own hotels. maybe the air light needs to do that if fatigue is really a serious issue. the effects of sum it up for me, kyle. what is the take away of got our attention. people are listening, they are watching, people are getting ready to travel what is the take away here? >> i'm in the take away is there is no short-term fix. even if they were to hire pilots today and get them onboard it takes weeks to months to get them on board. there's obviously a shortage of pilots we flight attendants who are paid very low. it's one of the cheapest paying industries with the exception of the pilots. they have to get the pilots on board for the probably have to come back on flights and

although the passengers might not like it, fairs probably have to come up to try to mitigate the demand and increase revenue which in turn don't give the pilots little more breathing room as far as her scheduling goes. one thing i also want to point out. thirty-five actually were going to cut off thank you much for joining us take care kyle bailey will be right back. that sets strict quality and purity standards. nature made. the #1 pharmacist recommended vitamin and supplement brand.
