ended up having to roll that back after it released so many people out to reoffend again. something like 437 crimes committed by offenders people who should have been locked up if justice is going to be served so they weren't. i question how people can even have -- how you can still be a part of a party or at least criticize the party publicly more so than wrist slap from politicians like eric adams. it doesn't make any sense to me. to this point all of the crime that happened over easter weekend, brian, let's be really clear whenever we hear the administration. whenever we hear people like gavin newsom, kamala harris or anybody else talk about what's really plaguing cities across the country, it's the left's refusal to take responsibility for their policies in criminal justice that are driving recidivism. in chicago alone, and this is according to the former superintendent, it's the same 1400 people that commit over 86% of that city's crime. so the people don't pay attention in chicago because they are so used to hearing

york city even had. i'm not a new york city resident. i'm roading for new york to have better leadership than that you want to see the mayor, no matter what their political affiliation is, brian. you want to see them do well. you want to see innocent people be safe and not be preyed on by offenders who realize they are only going to get a wrist slap. what's the point in not committing a crime? but when he gives lip service to things like gun control. and when he starts talking about curbs the rights of law-abiding citizens because criminals can access -- that to me makes me pause and maybe quietly cheering him ally with the. makes me not be on his side anymore. >> brian: we can't afford to give up. we are at 48th and sixth and manhattan. i have to hope he gets it together and run out of christmas trees soon if we don't crack down on some of these criminals. >> for your sake i hope so. >> brian: meanwhile straight ahead, the media is bracing for a democratic she lacking in the midterms. could a 2014 -- 2024 beat down

with the latest. brian? >> brian, good evening, 51-year-old woman was stabbed reportedly 60 times inside the basement of her queens new york home behind me. her body was then stuffed inside of a duffle bag. the stay at home's mother and 17-year-old son were reportedly out of town looking at colleges. her 1-year-old son was in the home at the time of the murder. he was questioned but police let him go. at 8:00 a.m. yesterday, gull's remains found near a highway nine blocks away from her home. a trail of blood leading back to her house. a neighborhood surveillance camera appears to capture a man dragging a bag behind him police say gull's body was inside. reportedly there was no sign of forced entry into the home. which means she likely knew her killer. the night before her murder. gaal reportedly went out. when she came home, a man was with her. the killer sent a text message to gaal's husband which read

>> brian: hysterical. the administration says the tsa will not enforce mandate immediately. the united airlines says it will continue to keep mandate in place for the time being. chaos. we did it, joe, another record breaking month for all the wrong reason as illegal crossings in our southern border hit all-time high. border encounters nearly 230,000 migrants trying to sneak into our nation during the month of march. it's the most of any month since joe biden took office. and the most in over 20 years. 80,000 migrants were released into the united states while nearly half of them were expelled under title 42 if we are to believe those numbers. that's about to run out. when it does we can expect to see unprecedented number. it's not just migrants illegally crossing our southern border in 2021 looking for a better life. border patrol apprehended at least 23 people on the terror watch list trying to cross into our country. this was what jen psaki had to say about that. >> here's what we're talking about encounters we know and of

suspected terrorist attempting to cross the southern border. they are very uncommon. we are talking about a few dozen annual encounters at most -- at most. >> brian: sounds enjoyable. just a few dozen encounters. it only takes one person to cause a tragedy. and 23 isn't suspected number of terrorists who were caught. how many knows how many got away. tom homan is the former acting ice director and visiting fellow at heritage foundation and immigration reform institute. tom, 24, that's stunning, how many hijackers did it take to turn this country on its head? >> one. and i can't believe she made that statement. and, look, brian, this is what they call 23. terrorists don't want to be arrested. so for them to be arrested says they weren't very smart crossing the border. however, 700,000 got-aways since joe biden became president. 700,000 people enter this country illegally and not arrested. how many of them on the data base? just last month 67 got-aways.

administration who was trying to solve this problem. we don't. meanwhile, this: the russian-ukrainian conflict does not appear to have an ending in sight. here we are on d-day. russia has honed in on taking over the city of mariupol and they are not backing down. the mayor, reports that over 10,000 mariupol civilians have died in the siege and that number could be surpass 20,000. now, the city has suffered brutal attacks and bombings from russia for months. they want this city. mariupol needs help and president zelenskyy is calling out president biden. >> we want president biden to come here? >> yes. >> are there any plans for him to come. >> i think he will. >> you think he will. >> i think he will. and i think he -- it's his disirks of course and about the safety situation it depends. but i think i think he is the leader of the united states and that's why he should come here to see.

fight and then lots of air power more than we have seen single battle so far the russians are preparing lots of armored penetrations that apparently according to the ukrainian armed forces announcer they have actually already have a couple of attempts. that will only acrease in the days ahead. this is potentially a deciding battle for the war. >> brian: there is a sense there might not be a phase three. the russians seem to be putting everything into this. they want the to get the ukrainians into the open field. why do the ukrainians want to do that? could they have a plan b? >> they don't. they were happy, relatively speaking to be fighting in the cities because that's where they had all the natural advantages. the defender always has the advantage because of the built up areas the limited range that can you even see and the ability to sneak up on the opponents. none of those are going to be as evident in the field. the problem is or the issue is

that ukraine has been there since 2014. this is what used to be the line of contact and russia has been basic i holding them in place. ukraine had their best troops there and they have up to 40,000 of them in this area because they have been drying to event an invasion. so they have been held in place and now russia is bringing the all of their power to bear here because their primary objective is not really the territory. it's to try to capture all those troops and that's where the danger comes in for ukraine. >> brian: because if they lose their best fighting force they will go right to kyiv and take the rest of the country. >> they will have almost half as many trained forces left and russia could either go north to kharkiv or south to odesa. if they get either one of those of course, kyiv could once again come into play. serious fight here. >> brian: i was talking to general keane this morning they said they haven't learned anything. russians staying on the roads. not fanning out and not placing

their artillery. of the communication is terrible and morale is bad. commit the wagner group to increase mercenariesenned a begging the syrians come to fight. what does that tell you? >> well, what it tells you is that they are pulling out all the stops. putin has made this his almost existential fight and he is going to do everything he can to win. i would differ a little bit with general keane in there that i have seen more and more evidence that russia is learning some of its lessons and we're going to find out here in the coming days. but one of the issues that is at play here is that they have -- russians have such an overpowering advantage in artillery and air power that even in the ukraine side is fighting better -- and they have been so far -- it still might not be enough to overcome the weight of that fire power. >> brian: we have got to rush in the tanks. the u.k. has prime minister missed them and some other european nations they are really fighting for all of us. if the russians are age to
