fox and friends weekend. we will all be live from alabama. the 500 super speedway. we have a lot of fun saturday and sunday morning. sean is back on monday. we will see you tomorrow morning. >> ♪ ♪ >> i am jason in for laura ingraham on the "the ingraham angle." we begin with tragic news. a texas national guard's man is dead after trying to rescue a female migrant crossing the rio grande. it's been over 12 hours since he dove into the water and never resurfaced. they have to cease dive operations due to the strength of the current. the texas military said we will

7:03 pm
>> are you considering delaying that? >> no, i am considering -- first there will be an appeal by the justice department. as a matter of principle we want to be in a position where it's strongly concluded by the scientists that we need title 42, we would be able to do that. there has been no decision on extending title 42. >> clean up on aisle 1600. the white house worked to fix the mess joe made answering questions about the border with public transportation mask mandates. migrants think the welcome matt is out. our president can't keep his policies straight and his border czar kamala harris is talking

7:07 pm
in eagle pass there were 3 drownings in a single day because of the strong current right there. unfortunately we will continue to see these events. it places the border patrol and troopers and national guard's men in dangerous situations to go into the river to perform rescue operations. >> brandon, you have seen it firsthand. the good people of the border patrol when you hear about an incident like tonight what runs through your mind? what are the men and women who serve on the border patrol thinking about? >> i have spoken with many agents today. we are beyond upset. we can't believe this president's policies are allowing migrants to put themselves in danger in rivers and force good people like this national guard's man to risk his own life. apparently he lost his life. this tragedy falls at the president's feet.
