everybody on the left. free speech automatically means disinformation. no. that is not the case. free speech means free speech. just because the left loses their monopoly over the control of information doesn't mean that all of a sudden, everything ucl thayer and twitter, online, anywhere will be disinformation. >> carley: i do think twitter has an outside information on the conversation writ large and i was reading 10% of twitter users create 92% of the tweet spirit of that group 70% of them are left-leaning. so, it definitely does not reflect the makeup of america. one of the things elon musk said before he officially bought the company is that a lot of people are no longer using twitter. like the top ten people with the most followers, obama, katie. they rarely tweet. so he wants to make it better by doing some little things.

day one. they take no responsibility for any of the negative actions which hurts americans. look, as i like to say what begins with the border doesn't stay at the border. we see planes flying out of el paso all the time flying anywhere in the nation. that is why americans should be concerned, deeply scared of this crisis at the border because they have, god knows who, going to an elementary near them. we need to put a stop to it. >> todd: it really did disrespect the life of a young man who died trying to be a hero. it was horrible, horrible reaction. in the meantime, i want to get your thoughts on this president biting meeting with the caucus yesterday as fellow democrats accuse him of ignoring border communities in one of those democrats congressman henry cuellar. listen. listening to the activists but my question is, who is listening to the men and women in green and blue? more importantly, who is

listening to the border communities? i was with a lot of people there not only public officials but other folks and none of them said, yes, lift title 42. none of them said open up the border. they are very concerned because they are on the front line. >> todd: irene, isn't that the exact same sentiment and you hear from your fellow men when you talk with them? >> yes, my mom and dad, as a matter of fact. i asked them personally, what you think about illegal immigration? and they are immigrants themselves from mexico. my mom from the neighboring city and my dad from central mexico. they came here legally. the illegal immigration has been going on for decades. and unfortunately, the government has turned a blind eye to it. but it is a total slap on the face to those who have paid their dues economically and we did the specified time and followed the immigration laws to

comes in. how can you control when there is backlog over three years? when we know for a fact criminals,, murderers, child molesters are getting through? and these are the people that are actually accounted for. what about the thousands that are not accounted for. we took a motorcycle ride on border highway. one day, my husband and i, and there was a couple running across. this is at the height of where people are coming in and turning themselves into border patrol agents. and there is still that demographic that is invading the border patrol. this is very concerning. everything that they stated on the letter to the president, to president biden is all about helping the equal spirit what about americans? nothing comes free. he talks about the vaccines. who was going to pay for it? we the people are.

of gun violence in philadelphia so for this year, carley. >> carley: meanwhile facing its own gun crisis and cops are doing what they can to put criminals behind bars, but judges and prosecutors are letting them walk free. joan illuzzi orbon new york prosecutor joins me now. joan, good morning to you, so one of the first thing mayor eric adams did was bring back the antigun unit that used to be called the anti-crime unit. "the new york post" got its hands on 12 court cases and found that 11 people who were arrested are now back out onto the streets, four web them without bail at all. what is going on here? >> you know, it is certainly ridiculous that people are just not afraid to carry guns. and you know, as much as there is a crisis come up when everybody acknowledges it is a dysfunctional place, it is

foolhardy. certainly, it seems as though there has been technicality that one of these guns not loaded and therefore it was not eligible. but in this state, number one, every single firearm should be bail eligible irrespective of whether it is loaded or not. number two, we are the only state that doesn't consider dangerousness in our bail application. it is an antiquated system where we need to really secure the safety of the good people in those communities who have to go to work, school, and play in and around others who have guns, who will take out a gun and use a gun with very little provocation. >> carley: you know, the anti-gun unit isn't going to work. and you keep letting the criminals who are in possession of the guns back out onto the streets and in may, a judge will only be allowed to set bail on felony gun possession if the

person has been charged with half and an illegal gun before. so, in this new law, there was essentially get out of jail free card baked into it. >> it is really insensitive to me because actually if you have a loaded gun on the street that should be possession of a weapon in the third degree and second degree. it should be bail eligible. so, i don't know the details of those cases were and whether or not they were unloaded guns, but even and unloaded guns, in cases the danger with interaction with the public or another member of business or what have you here at the thought that if you have a gun, you take that out, now someone else takes out a gun and there is a gun fight. innocent people are getting hurt. innocent people are getting killed. it is ridiculous. >> carley: overall crime is up 50% and shootings 10%.

there is on average three shootings every day. what is the reason behind this? is this because soft on crime prosecutors, the judges, or is this the defund the police movement and repercussions of that? >> unfortunately our city went into really a downswing when there were calls for defunding the police and when anti-crime. but i'm all for transparency and i applaud that, you know that work of a street police officer irrespective of whether or not in uniform or not is being recorded because that not only protects the public but protects the police as well. but the fact is plain and simple. there are too many guns off the street. people are not afraid to carry guns because they think that nobody is watching. and that is the problem. guns come out with the smallest

now the difficulty factor went down by 5% but it is still a whopping 45%. how has this nation and how does the biden administration reverse this trend of workers being on the sidelines? >> well, for one, they say they want to pay them more, but that means that we have two charge more for the products. it just can't be both. we can't have both. we have to have actual medium, like a medium. it is not happening right now. and it takes a bit to figure that out and biden is not cutting it. i always say, if you are under people that are smarter than you, he has a lot of work to do. >> todd: the issues that you raise they are to pass the cost onto the consumer, ultimately at the end of the day, that causes even more inflation. that leads to an overall negative take on the economy. look at this compare to january, do you think the economy has gotten? 56% think it has gotten worse. mostly that is tied to the fact

when they go to the store, everything cost a lot more. do you expect this white house to take any tangible steps to curb inflation? >> no, because they keep blaming putin for it. so last night, i went to my local pub and asked a couple of people, "hey, i am going to be on tv tomorrow. i want to ask you what you think." there were a lot if i don't knows out there. if my wife buys the groceries. i best friends and families and their opinion. of course, guess who's always going to be number one. that is where it hits as the most. i would save fuel, food, fun. i have kids and we did not take spring break vacation. but we didn't take a vacation this year because we don't know what the economy is going to do under this administration. and i'm very concerned. but the good news is my company came out on top. we worked smarter, not harder. we figured out how to take our product and make it even better.

reward for information that leads to the safe recovery of that baby. fingers crossed. >> carley: violence across cops is rising at an alarming rate and fbi director christopher wray said more people need to know about this disturbing trend. >> violence against law enforcement in this country is one of the biggest phenomenons that i think doesn't get enough attention. last year, officers were being killed at a rate of almost one every five days. >> carley: clyde boatwright, lieutenant essica cage rosaio and founder of blue lives matter in new york city, joseph imperatrice. you just heard this is a phenomenon no one is talking about and it needs to get more attention. 73 officers murdered in 2021, which is a 59% increase from the year 2020, which is the year the

defund the police movement. what is going on here? why is this happening? >> the water bucket incident you have politicians making it okay to resist arrest. making it okay to commit crimes and fight the cops. you will create dangerous situations, not just for the police officers but for the communities. >> carley: and officer shootings and ambushes are also on the rise. shootings have 46% this year. ambush style attacks, which is a premeditated attack on a police officer up 36%. clyde, this problem is getting worse by the day. >> yes. it is now more than ever the most dangerous time to be a police officer. it is simply because our communities have gotten away from the simple abcs of life and that is accountability, boundaries, consequences. if we can start holding people accountable must setting boundaries and giving them consequences for their actions, maybe we will start to see a

time of change in our communities. >> carley: so lieutenant rosario, it is hard to find good police officers because the job has become so difficult and so dangerous. are you saying that in memphis? >> absolutely. our department is currently about five officers below complement. the rising crime it is hard for the department to keep up because we are short of officers. >> carley: jo my was doing a story and interviewing somebody about new york city right now where the mayor brings back the anti-gun unit. and there are 25 arrests made. let back out within 24 hours? >> they are not. officers from east to west coast are going out there everyday and doing their job. they are handcuffing the bad guys and taking them to attorneys offices and turning them around and back on the street. it is simple. if there is someone out there with a gun or serious felony charge, we have to keep them behind bars. if you throw them on the street we will see revolving door of crime and crime will not go down. >> carley: quite a lot of police departments that were defunded are now refunded but we are still seen crime go up. so what needs to change? >> what needs to change is these elected officials need to get away from the rhetoric. they need to support men and women in blue. they need to incentivize this blue field and maybe we can start attracting the best and the brightest of this field. because right now we are struggling because we are picking from the same part of qualified candidates. >> carley: lieutenant essica cage rosaio do you agree with

that? i absolutely agree. we have to find a way to bridge the gap for the community so that they won't see us as the enemy. >> carley: joe, you dedicated your life to making cities safer and safer for being cops, police right now because they deserve to be as safe as possible. what are your thoughts on the fbi director finally shining a light on this issue? it is something that we talk about a lot, but sometimes the right person since it it at the right time, it does get more attention. are you hopeful for the future that things will turn around? >> there is many jobs that are very dangerous as offensive military. for the most part, there is a great chance you might not walk back through it. so we needed to be a conversation. we need the public to know this is a serious issue. we need to get through to them. we have to have young kids that want to be police officers one day. we have to be role models make
