so they are trying to get this all squared away. half of the $800,000 was in state and local taxes. the rest of it is a spreadsheet that the daily mail has published this morning. it shows, i tnk there is gym membership. there is the kids' tuition there are credit cards. there is power bills. there is rent and then there is a whole bunch of taxes apparently hunter biden never paid and so before joe got elected, they had to try to clear the debt. >> pete: according to this email it was joe biden's. >> ainsley: personal assistant. >> pete: personal assistant of hunter biden katie dodge to an accountant january 17th. 2017. hello vp team, i spoke with hunter today regarding his bills, it's my understanding that hunt's dad joe biden will cover these bills in the short-term as hunter transitions in his career.

>> pete: matt, thank you for the latest. appreciate it steve? >> steve: thank you pete and matt. nearly two years ago the u.s. supreme court ruled that the land making up five indian reservations in eastern oklahoma is considered indian territory country. meaning state law does not apply in those regions. but today the supreme court reconvenes to hear oral arguments on whether the state of oklahoma has the authority to prosecute thousands of non-indians who commit crimes against indians on indian reservation. oklahoma governor kevin sit kevin stittjoins us to make his. good morning to you. >> good morning thank you for having me on. >> steve: where is this coming. >> from it came two years ago when the supreme court 5-4 decision reno longer have jurisdiction in eastern oklahoma. that would be like coming into boston and saying no longer was that part of the state of massachusetts it's

thrown our law enforcement into upheaval. we have lost the ability to enforce law and order if there is a native victim involved. that's what this case is about. remember, who is a native or who is an indian? it's about 10% of oklahoma population. i have my indian card. my six children with blond hair and blue eyes have their indian card. so law enforcement is having a tough time because you can't tell who a native is and who isn't in oklahoma because we have never had reservations in oklahoma. >> steve: governor, this case today. hear the arguments on behalf of your state. the case today is what? >> chester was a really bad guy that almost killed a 5-year-old native girl. she'll wasn't a member of an oklahoma tribe. she was a member of a north carolina tribe. she was sentenced to 35 years in prison. and because she was a native victim after the case it was thrown out. so now she is being -- she has to be charged by u.s. attorneys or the fed.

so thought biden administration by their own admission do not have the resources to prosecute burglaries and car thefts. the fbi just the head fbi agent said they are overwhelmed. if there is an indian involved the state can't prosecute it the tribe can't prosecute it. it has to go back to the feds and the feds don't have the resources to investigate a home burglary, for example. >> steve: so what you have described, governor, it sounds like you are the governor of only about half of oklahoma. >> well, if it stands reservation for all purposes like they are trying to say the tribes, then, yeah, i would not be the governor for eastern oklahoma. it's going to be carved up into six different jurisdictions. the problem with that is you have got 2 million people there that have lived. we have since 1907. generations after generations of non-indians are now living on a

reservation. it's just unattainable. >> steve: when this changed, about two years ago, you know, there were hundreds of caved that the state was going to prosecute suddenly the state is not going to do them anymore. now it's going to go back to native control, right? >> that's exactly right. here's how preposterous it is. we have people on death row ordering 23 and me d.n.a. test trying to see if they are native. can they get out of jail free? can it be thrown back to the feds to prosecute so it's just really thrown our criminal justice system in upheaval. the district attorneys that are voted on by the people cannot enforce law and order in eastern oklahoma right now. >> steve: well, it is something that a lot of people have not heard about. governor kevin stitt, thank you for joining us today. good luck today. >> thank you so much. we should know in june how the supreme court rules.

bust this week. >> you are 100 percent right, ainsley. this is a huge, huge issue. a result of the open border policies by the biden administration. just a couple weeks ago we had a major drug bust in marion county, florida. and a hat tip to sheriff billy woods and to chief mike balkan for their continued efforts and diligence there was two pounds of fentanyl in a brick form found in gheafl marion county. and this was accompanied by a pill press. these criminals got this brick of fentanyl from over the border. which was originally sent raw materials from china. and there was a stamp of a border cartel, a known border cartel on that brick. they had a pill press. they were creating a beta drug to try to test how they could push fentanyl into our communities just an hour north of orlando in my district around to kids and it -- thank goodness they found it that right there, that simple two pounds, that's enough to kill half a million people. every man, woman and child. half a million people.

fortunately these kind of murders are not common. they are very unusual. they finished the autopsy yesterday and they have a lot of information as to how she was murdered. whether it was a sexual assault, whether there is any information as to the reason why it was done and they are not releasing it -- the name of the person presumably because he is the -- the perpetrator is a juvenile. in wisconsin juveniles 16 or less. and there -- somebody in the community -- i bet you a number of red flags looking at that should they have noticed that this male was dangerous. >> steve: what are some of the red flags you are talking about? >> that he got in trouble. he did things. steve: somebody who was on the cop's radar. >> that's right. somebody that they had trouble with being a juvenile delinquent. >> steve: or perhaps that person new lily and they had a history.

>> although difficult to know what kind of history you have with a 10-year-old. sometimes other 10-year-olds or 15 years old or 16-year-old kids who have problems will go so far as to-she was apparently on her bicycle, get her off her bicycle and kill her. now, whether he did anything else to her and how he killed her will eventually come out. >> steve: sure. when we all heard the story about, you know a little 10-year-old kid who left her aunt's house at like 9:00 at night on her bicycle riding home, and then somebody snatched her because she was missing for a long time. that's like every parent's worst nightmare. often usually it's done by a passing bizarre motorist who will go after the teenager. >> steve: a crime of opportunity. >> on a bicycle and grab the teenager. this wasn't one of those. this was somebody who knew her.

stuff like that. what are you being told about the russian leader's health? >> well, i mean, i haven't been told anything i can share with you other than some pretty obvious observations. the guy is older, right? second, the war is not going well. the reality of it is they probably lost more soldiers, they probably lost two times as many soldiers already than they lost in afghanistan the entire time of the afghanistan invasion during the soviet union probably degraded their military forces by 20% or 30%. they've had high failure rates. remember that money they spent on the military, missiles have misfired and some of them never went off and some hit the wrong target. i mean, it's just gone poorly, right? if he was an american president right now, you know, he'd be impeached or at least invoking all kinds of constitutional provisions to get rid of him. so it hasn't gone well. and certainly he knows the truth about it. and eventually that's going to impact somebody. i believe his risk calculus is different. i don't think he's, like the way we would describe insane in the normal sense. i think this is a guy who feels

like he's got everything to gain at this point, and losing a war would oust him from power which is something he can never allow to happen. >> ainsley: let's talk about the border now because d.h.s. has outlined this plan to secure our border, they say, after title 42 is lifted. the plans include lifting resources, personnel, transportation, medical support facilities to support border operations. more agents, more personnel. what's your reaction to that? is that enough? >> it's a joke. it's a joke. the border has been overrun. it's as simple as that. reason why is because this administration is listening to radical left wing activists that are basically arguing for an open border. they'll talk about legal process and all that. there's a group of people out there that basically believe that people should be allowed to live wherever they want and any country they want. they should be able to come across the border and when they do, they should receive benefits from the government. benefits that people that have worked here their whole lives don't get. so they'll say we're not doing that. if you notice one of the six points that he lays out is they're going to give a bunch of money to non-government

organizations. what are those non-government organizations do? they buy people plane tickets and give them cash assistance and give them, in essence, transferring government money into the hands of a not government entity so they can give benefits to people. we have an overrun border and we are luring people to come here. let me just say this thing. this is not about immigration. we admit a million people a year into this country. green cards, the most generous immigration program on the planet. and we've done that for decades. this is about an overrun border where people and drugs, fentanyl is flowing into our cities, flooding into our cities and this administration is encouraging it. they don't want to do anything about it. and last point about the border guards, it wasn't that long ago they were telling us border guards were whipping people. remember that? the president of the united states, of course, that turned out not to be true. where's the apology? who wants to be a border agent right now knowing the president, if something goes wrong, is going to come after you or say you don't work for them like they did about this gentleman that lost his life in texas. >> pete: they barely acknowledged what happened to that texas national guard member instead saying he's a state

giant. meanwhile, conservatives reporting a dramatic surge including our next guess that added 10,000 in one day. clay travis is here with more. good morning to you. >> good morning, how are you? >> ainsley: i'm doing great. thank you. i saw you were thanking elon musk for this. you saw a big gain in your followers. why is that? >> it's a great question, ainsley. i don't know the answer. i'm up almost 20,000 twitter followers in basically the 48 hours since it was announced that elon musk was going to be buying twitter. there are a lot of different theories you could toss out there. this is abnormal, i haven't seen any follower counts surge like this in years. and really haven't ever seen anything like this. one theory, obviously, is that a lot more conservative people as elon musk has bought twitter have been coming on to the site. but the difference is it's not just conservatives gaining. it's left wingers losing which makes me wonder whether twitter

is starting to pull back on some of the guard rails that they put up which were rigged in favor of left wingers and they're doing that because they're worried that elon musk may be coming in and starting to publicize potentially some of the algorithms, some of the behind-the-scenes data manipulation that was going on inside of twitter. so i'd lean more towards that. i think we're just seeing some of these restrictions taken off and the result is you're seeing what conservatives have argued for a long time. that this was a rigged social media game designed to favor the left wingers and with elon musk coming in, those prescriptions are returning to more of a normalcy. >> ainsley: and you aren't alone. desantis saw a big uptick, too. a.o.c. actually lost followers. speaking of the squad, bernie sanders will be at the white house today speaking later this morning. he's joining the squad there because they have this big brass band because they're all excited that student debt has now been

paused. they're hoping it's canceled completely. how are we going to pay for this? >> well, everybody is going to end up having to pay for it. this is important because when they say oh, joe biden should cancel student debt. he's not cancelling student debt. he's just changing where the obligation to repay the student debt lies. instead of putting it on the individual who took out the debt to go to school, what would happen is around $1.6 trillion would be added to our already massive national debt, and you and me and everybody out there watching this who had nothing at all to do with taking out this student loan debt would now be on the hook for it. i don't believe, ainsley, that it's constitutional but we've seen of late that joe biden has been willing to do whatever is necessary, whether it's the osha vaccine mandate, whether it's the c.d.c. moratorium on evictions. both of which have been struck down by the supreme court. i think there's a strong likelihood that the president of the united states does not have the ability to wipe out this

the war begins in the classroom. war begins with the war to tell american students that their history is terrible, that their past is terrible, that if they're white, they're born into guilt which is something we would tolerate being said of no other group of people. i mean, it's a horrible racist thing. if anyone said to black kids, you know, you're born evil because of things that were done centuries before your birth, we'd say what a horrible racist thing to do. it's racist when it's done against white kids, too. as we know from this city, new york and from cities across the country, schools are teaching exactly that to white students. and it goes on from there. it goes on not just from saying that you're wicked because you're white, because you're wicked because you're american. because there's nobody good in american history. you know, one of the chapters is about history. about the way in which everything in western history has been torn down. everybody is guilty of living in the past, you know. we useed to have great heroes in the west and for some of us, they still are. but my own country of birth, great britain, winston churchill deemed a villain. in this country, the founding

fathers. there was a time you could have said nobody knew, very few people. only thing that school children know is that the founding fathers owned slaves. so much so down the road in new york city council chamber, they wheeled thomas jefferson out in a crate in the back door because one of the council members says thomas jefferson no longer represents our values. so everybody in the american past, all of our heroes, lincoln, all of them have been torn down literally metaphorically, actually. >> steve: that is the war on the west. perfectly set up. in addition to a book available everywhere today, it's also a fox nation special. here's a clip on the desire to destroy, watch this. >> dead white male is now the worst thing to be, everybody focuses on the whiteness being attacked and the maleness. there seems to be an attack on people for being dead. >> patriot for a civilization deemed too white and too male,

and the desire to destroy is a profound one. if you can't build something up, you can sure as hell tear it down and that's what's going on. >> absolutely. >> steve: that's what's going on. but the war on the west, there is now pushback. >> yes, there is, thank goodness. and it comes from lots of different directions, but my hope it's a ground up movement. we see that with parents across america. but here's the thing. if you said to a minority group, you're so horrible. there's nothing good about you. nothing good about your past. i don't think you could persuade a minority group about that. this is an attempt to persuade the american majority of that. i think in the long term, as long as people are armed with the facts which is what i try to give them. as long as they're armed with the facts and the arguments to push back, there is no way that this anti-western, anti-american movement can win. >> steve: all right. check it out. brand new book, came out yesterday. janis dean is out on the streets of new york city where it's still cold. >> it's cold but the sun is out and lots of construction happening as well, steve. let's take a look at the temperatures because it's cold across the northern tier of the country. i'm not going to lie. we've got freeze advisories in place. look at fargo, 28, 35 in chicago. 50 here in new york. the wind makes it feel colder than that. that's why i'm still wearing a winter coat. lucky i didn't put those away. there's the forecast today. we had an area of low pressure off the coast bringing some rain and even snow to parts of the northeast. and then we have a new system that's going to dive in from the pacific and move into the central u.s. in the next couple of days. that's going to give us rounds of heavy rain and severe storms, ok, starting thursday and friday. we will continue to keep you up to date. yeah, there's going to be snow as well across the rockies. ain't over yet, steve! back to you. >> steve: yeah, it's but it still kind of feels like winter

live in kentucky with the foundation's president. retired marine general, major general jerry humble and actor tom berringer who will be participating in the ceremony. joey? >> let me tell you, if you sing the marine corps hymn in front of any marine, they'll go to attention immediately. there's a line there from the halls of montezuma to the shores of tripoli. tripoli being the coast where some pirates used to haunt our merchant ships until presley o'bannon, a marine lieutenant conquered derna and made the first place that the american flag was planted abroad and really established us and our first step of becoming a leading superpower in the world. so president o'bannon, marine lieutenant, remember that name, we're in his historic home in a small town called russellville, kentucky, all of it thanks to marine general humble here. tell us a little bit about this project and what you're looking at moving forward. >> first, this is a project that's been supported by all my

friends in the music industry, the community, and my acting friends here, master gunner sergeant but anyway, what we're doing is to try to promote patriotism in american history. it will eventually become o'bannon leadership institute for people to send their executives to and so forth. i've been doing that for about 12 years now and so forth. but it's also to bring a venue of people who want to come and former marines or others who want to study history in this little community is just oozing in history. >> earlier, we had a segment on before the break talking about educating patriotism in our kids and i know that's a big, important thing to you. >> it is. >> tom, you need no introduction. world class actor, some of your roles have kind of gotten close to marine corps history in some of the wars in our history. what makes you want to be involved in this? what is your role here?

>> well, this is very serendipitous but i went to a charity thing in naples and the whole panel was fox news. >> bret baier shared it. >> yes. and i met kilmeade after that whole thing. they did their shtick so i met him and i said i enjoyed your history book. i don't know how many history books he's done. >> he's got several. >> i've read at least two. one was the andrew jackson and the battle of new orleans which was great. and the other one was the barberie coast war which is what this is about. and we got talking about that. and i said, you know, i actually have an old script, yeah, i don't know how old like 20 years maybe, where a friend of mine and i wanted to produce it. and it's still in my -- in a footlocker inside of my storage unit down there.

i got to find it. and he said well, i'm connected with a guy in l.a. to produce it. and i said who's that? he says leslie grife. he goes yeah, you know him? yeah, he did hatfields and mccoys. he's great. he's like richard dreyfuss, he's like that. he's so persistent. 30 years it took leslie to do hatfields and mccoys so i think you got a good one there with him. >> get connected with fox nation, maybe put something together and won't take 30 years to make it happen. >> i hope not. i won't be around. >> pete, i know you're an army vet. probably got a couple of questions for the general and tom here? >> pete: yeah, general, you bought the house and your hope is to connect former, you know, previous marines and people who love this country to the reality of what it means to serve today as well. this is a living history. >> it is.
