anymore. essentially, he is staff escorts him in and out of events and they hope they avoid grabbing at the air when he supposed to walk off the stage. he's team should have surrounded him with a cabinet of experts. who could do the parts of the job that he's obviously incapable of doing. with such a weak president, he really needed a vp who was smart enough to earn the trust of the voters. somebody who can do the job if she had to. that's the whole point. kamala harris is a laughingstock who laughs too much. >> more parents are sick the value of educators saying we are not paying them nearly enough. have been in there in the first place. mayor peter, he can bike away. almost all of the economic advisor should go. on what basis should jerome powell be a nominated fed chair by the way? no basis. white house needs to admit that they made mistakes. a lot of them. then they can begin to move forward. maybe to begin repairing what they in fact wracked. but the reality, you think about it. let's be very candid in this moment of distress for america. they do not care what happens to you. they think gas prices should be higher. there are only jealous of europe's gas prices. they think countries should be stronger than ours and that we should be weaker. they think schools should be used to promote radical social agendas, and they think government funds should be distributed to those groups were likely to help the democrats.

they think criminals deserve a break and that you never do. for the next six months, they are going to scream and wail like you had elizabeth warren the other day about everything except stuff that will actually help you and your family. but the dow was plummeting today, this is what cnn locked on. >> there are more tapes, newly released audio revealed kevin mccarthy talk about removing donald trump from office. how many more tapes could be out there? >> if you're kevin mccarthy, you're hoping there are zero more tapes. >> laura: they will encourage people to riot and smash things, use mail in ballots, stuff the ballot boxes, they'll do that as well. one of the most shameful things that happened in the past 50 years is that so many who spent their careers pretending to be republicans have abandoned the supporters who voted for them or rather allows the articles in the first place.

are we in the biden recession now? >> well, i don't think we're in a recession right this moment. but i've got to tell you, with record high inflation, it's going to be almost impossible to avoid a recession. given the fact that there is no confidence in joe biden and by the way, there is no confidence in jay powell, we could wind up with an inflationary recession which would be the worst of all possible worlds. both of those guys are trying to whitewash the inflation problem, so what you've got now is market interest rates are rising, real incomes -- real wages after inflation are falling. it's difficult. consumer confidence is down. small business confidence is down. no, i don't agree or in a recession right now, but as i

say i think it'll be virtually impossible to avoid a recession. either later this year or next year. >> laura: larry, here's how one of biden's economic advisor viewed the economy today. >> is this economy in a position of strength to face what's coming at us? of the answer you look at the job market and the gdp growth, you look at household incomes are doing it, savings are doing, you we conclude that we are approaching this moment from a position of strength. >> laura: gdp shrank last month. inflation is destroying savings. people are getting poor in the united states. what are these people talking about? is this in any way going to calm the market? >> i want to say jared bernstein is an old friend of mine and personally he's really a good --

he was out there yesterday, laura, and he tried to whitewash the whole problem and he sounded like joe biden blaming inflation on vladimir putin and covid. that's nonsense. the problem was too much federal spending and too much at all bond too much central bank presence. stop whitewashing the problem and go to it, otherwise the longer they wait in the more they try to avoid the issues, which is what biden's doing. at the worst of the recessions be. the worst possible combination is inflammatory inflation. my concern right now is again, the fed is not taking action, we are spending too much in washington. these guys are talking about raising taxes. >> laura: they should all be fired. any one of the peoples, any single one, yelling, jay powell,

economic advisors should any of these people be in this position after they blew off the inflation concerns that you raised and larry summers raised one year ago? because in corporate america they would have been fired. on a basketball team if they were coaches, they'd be fired. long ago. >> i will put it more positively. you mention larry summers who got it right. jason berman got this right. i think moderate democrats with experience and weight should be in the administration and they should replace a lot of the economic policymakers. that's probably true through out cabinet as you noted in your intro. but i want to make this point. the longer they wait to take action to stop this inflation, the worse it's going to be. the worse the recessions going to be. >> laura: we got to go, larry. >> working folks are going to

arizona, how does the issue play very candidly? >> i think it's a pro-life state and this is a pro-life country. he doesn't care about the open border. when he cares about apparently is unlimited partial-birth abortion, he can't articulate any restriction. he's all for planned parenthood going into seven months. i'm sorry to be so graphic that we have to talk about what this is. it's ghastly, out of step with arizona. i'm running on a bold agenda, president trump 2016 agenda. it's great on every issue. this is the playbook that me and other rising leaders are using where we are not the same, we sound different, different styles. you can't copy president trump he is one but on this issue and everything else is that we are mad and we're not going to take
