looking at white's movement, hours before they escape, vickie white is seen on the newly-released security footage pacing and looking around a nearby hotel before she allegedly used her power as a corrections officer to walk admitted murderer casey white for a court appointment. officials say did not exist. the hotel is allegedly where vickie white stayed the night before going on the run and it's also near the location where police say she prepositioned a get away vehicle for the two. so one of the big questions now is why would a 17-year corrections officer allegedly do all of this just a day before she was set to retire, well, love may be the answer. officials say casey and vickie white, no relation by the way, were engaged in some type of jailhouse romance for at least two years and appears that vickie white is willing to go to extranet lengths for their, quote, unquote special relationship. some say it's a mistake to think casey white will do the same.

bombing of school in ukraine, 60 people hiding out in the basement of the school feared killed. the former ambassador to ukraine william taylor. ambassador, let's start with the breaking news that the first lady joe biden is in ukraine meeting with president zelenskyy's wife. she also visited the school. what's the resonating visit and does dr. biden's visit, it must get under the skin of vladimir putin? >> i imagine it does, eric. i imagine it does because it is a message of strong support for the ukrainian people, for the ukrainian government, for president zelenskyy, it demonstrates in a way that little else can do that is the presence of -- of the first lady in ukraine that we are committed to -- to their success. we are committed to their success against the russians and ukrainians will win with that kind of support. eric: and the next step we understand is the reopening of
9:22 am
u.s. embassy in cave kay. what would it means when the stars and stripes are raised? >> long-term commitment to ukraine and our embassy being in kyiv is a demonstration of that. a physical demonstration of that. that's going to be welcomed by i know welcomed by the american diplomats who are eager to get back but also welcomed by the ukrainian people. eric: we have been reporting on this horrible bombing, yet another example of vladimir putin's brazen war crimes as crimes against humanity just stunning in this day and age. do you think there's a possibility and there is a move, there is a move to potentially designate russia a state-sponsored of terrorism joining iran, korea and cuba and syria on that list? >> no doubt, no doubt, eric. if this is not terrorism then --
9:23 am
then terrorism doesn't exist. this is pure terror. what we see today is only the most recent example of this kind of a tactic. bombing a school, bombing a maternity hospital, bombing a -- a school that is designated with children in mariupol, just devastating going after civilians. this is terrorism. eric: it's not just this, ambassador, there's a long list for decades for vladimir putin, for example, trying to allegedly poison disodense in britain, navalny and what happened in syria and on and on. >> you're absolutely right. and it goes back -- eric it goes back centuries. this is what the russians have done. they've been autocratic. they've been aggressive. they've been opposing the
9:24 am
democratic nations around them. so this is what the russians do. and so this is why we have to support the ukrainians and why the ukrainians have to win. eric: is -- finally, is the vladimir putin regime illegal, murderist, enemy of humanity and the very embodiment of evil? >> eric, this is clearly evil. evil is when you don't care about the suffering of others and it's so clear that that's what president putin is -- is demonstrating. he doesn't care about the suffering of ukrainians, he doesn't even think that ukrainians are a real nation, real people and his military have -- have done these horrible acts, these horrible acts. these war crimes, what president biden called genocide, so, yes, this is is something that has been going on for a long time and the russians trying to oppress the ukrainians and this
9:25 am
is the most recent demonstration of that. eric: thank you for your service to our country as we will continue to fight for the good. thank you. >> thank you, sir. eric: aishah. aishah: still to come, justice clarence thomas says the supreme court cannot be bullied after the stunning leak of a draft opinion on roe versus wade, but with democrats now pushing back and protests happening across the country, the political pressure is sure to keep growing. new york congressman claudia tenny weighs in next.

[cheers and applause] >> not ever. >> it is barbaric, inhumane and unacceptable and i hope every human being in this country understands that when you take away a women's right to make her decision about her health and well-being, she's no longer a full citizen. aishah: well, you can hear the passion in her voices, elizabeth warren and christy gillibrand sounding off on leaked support on abortion. the leak sparked protests happening across the country and major security concerns about it. left-wing demonstrators making targets out of churches, government buildings and even the homes of supreme court justices. conservative justice clarence thomas condemning the fallout saying this, quote, we are becoming addicted to wanting particular outcomes, not living with the outcomes we don't like.
9:31 am
we can't be an institution that can be bullied into giving you the outcomes you want. the events from earlier this week are a symptom of that. let's bring in now new york congresswoman claudia tenney, member of house foreign affairs committee. thank you for joining us on this mother's day, happy mother's day to you. >> thank you, great to be on and blessed to be a mother. aishah: justice thomas says the court cannot be bullied but it can be convinced? we know this opinion is not final, so if these protests and demonstrations perhaps change a few minds, do you think that would happen first and foremost and then would you and other republicans support that? >> yeah, it's unfortunate what's happened with this public discourse. i mean, we are supposed to be debating these issues. abortion is a very serious moral issue and yet we have two women lawyers, senator warren and
9:32 am
senator gillibrand and i'm a lawyer as well. the preamble to our constitution, the very first right we have is the right to life. but we should be debating this in the public square and respectfully disagreeing and making our views through advocacy in a peaceful way. that's not happening. you're seeing the protests inappropriately going after supreme court justices at their home during this very critical deliberations process that the court goes through, it's not tradition of the court but also important for the courts to get this right as they interpret the really important issues of the day. the left now wants to ends to justify the means. they want an abortion to be inshrined in some kind of constitutional right but as the court has properly done and justice alito has written, there isn't a so-called right to privacy outlined in row versus wade. also the reasoning behind the decisions on abortion even the casey decision don't get to the moral decision about abortion which is up to the state and up
9:33 am
to the people to decide. this is not a ban on abortion if this is -- if this opinion is ultimately going to be the case. this is a case where we go into the public square and we decide through the states and the people the tenth amendment right what we do about this moral issue. it is very different as outlined in these important cases including over the gay marriage case which was different, it was a 14th amendment case. it was in the a case about this moral right of abortion or not. aishah: congresswoman, i want to talk about, you mentioned that, of course, people -- this is a decision that people are still debating. let's talk about the demonstrations and the protests now happening at the catholic churches. you've called on the president to condemn these protests, jen psaki at the white house says he believes in support -- peaceful protest. this is clearly a situation that's dividing the country. where do you see this going? >> this is unfortunate. this is why we need to get back
9:34 am
to understanding what our constitution is, what it means, we are a self-governing constitutional republic which means the people are governing and the people have -- should be looking at the constitution for solutions. we have an absolute right to practice our religion, to go and try to interfere with the ability of catholics and others, christians, muslims and jews to go and practice their religion which may -- which they may support particularly among catholics and many and all religions support the right to life, but to interfere with that right and try to obstruct this with the callus and undemocratic and unconstitutional type rallies, peaceful protests and talking about the issues and the heart of what is there is what we need to be doing as americans. aishah: so democrats in your state of new york and state of new jersey are coming out easy
9:35 am
for people who want to travel to this state. this is not a ban, this is getting power back to the states. some state like new york where it would easier. >> i come from pro-life. i come from the state that passed abortion case, abortion law. governor cuomo signed into law late-term abortion. that means you can have an abortion up to the moment of birth in new york state and they lit up the state -- the empire state building commemorating those which is completely appalling to me. but we have that ability to make those decisions and laws in our state. i don't think most people understand what it means and i debated this bill in 2016 when i was a member of the state assembly. it's been around for a long time and what i think people need to know now, the facts are that this -- we talked about how many -- people having abortions and people at risk and looking at this compassion atly.
9:36 am
right now as of 2016 and i'm sorry i don't have the current numbers, 5,000 women were getting on their fifth or more abortion in the statistics of 2016. so this is not a rare thing. it's being viewed as a way -- people need to go back to responsibility. aishah: a lot to get into in this subject. we appreciate your time. we ran out of time. congresswoman tenney. eric. eric: thank you, aishah, let's go the southern border. that's due to go away as planned on may 23rd. team at the southern border has exclusive video of a facility that's being built near eagle pass, texas, local agents there tell us it's going to be used to process incoming migrants. live for us in crystal city, texas with what's expected to happen.
