school? come on, no such thing. but are the doj. mandatory covid vaccines don't how she work? please, you are just imagining it. you must be in anti-vaxxer. and so on. they do this with everything, because it almost always works. you may be the injured party and whatever disaster they've managed to cook up, but by the time "the washington post" gets done explaining it, you are a criminal for noticing it happened. it is very effective. unfortunately for them, it doesn't work with inflation. inflation is just too obvious to deny. everyone knows when the prices go up, because everybody go shopping. so when you get inflation, you are stuck with it. leaders know this, obviously, so their first move when we got inflation was to reassure thus there was nothing to worry about because actually, inflation is a good thing. we have been longing for inflation.

and thank god we finally got it. america needs higher, longer-lasting inflation. [laughs] when that didn't work, because it was never going to, no one in the world actually wants inflation. when that failed, they tried a new tactic. yes, inflation is not ideal, they admit it. but it is like fog in the morning, it is inconvenient, but it burns off. the word they use to describe that is "transitory." >> are economists have conveyed that they feel that the impacts of our proposals will be transitory. >> all of the economists that the president has been relying on suggest that there's a transitory nature to the inflation problem. >> we call these things transitory effects. >> this inflation we are experiencing is transitory. it is not going to be here long. >> we've had several months of high inflation that most

economists, including me, believed will be transitory. >> we don't expect that that upward pressure would -- that the effects would be persistent. we expect to be transitory. >> tucker: it wasn't just maxine waters and joe biden and joe biden's flock, none of whom can do math, obviously, you just saw the head of the federal reserve and the former head of the federal reserve tell you this is going to be transitory. that was the best they could do. but behind the reassure and happy talk, they were in fact starting to panic. because this was not at all what they had expected or predicted in public. in fact, in september, 17 winners, and aware that suggest the winner understands economics, signed a public letter urging joe biden to spend $2 trillion more because inflation was no longer a concern. there was no why way we would get inflation.

bloomberg told us readers to eat lentils instead of meat and to kill their dogs because pets are expensive. as bloomberg put it, "nobody said this would be fun and go. and they are right about that. it hasn't been fun. it's been a disaster for virtually everyone. officially according to the numbers out today, the inflation rate is 8.3%, but that is a fake number. a rigged measure. and every life scenario, the numbers are much higher. for example, this year, the price of breakfast cereal which you eat in the morning has gone up by 10%. they cost of chicken nuggets is up 18%. take the lentils, pal. , snacks, clothing for your kids up 9%. fertilizer prices, fertilizer being the basis of all agricultural products is up 61% over the last year. corn, for example, is that .589

a bushel. it is now at $8.15. want to visit your family? want to take a vacation? want to take a work trip? the average is up now more than 33%. gas prices, and you know this well, are up 50%. the average price of a used van was in may of last year, about 23,000. it is now 34,000. that is a 47% increase. in a real product you might have to buy it. it is not a .3 according to the cpi, the price is up from 22,000 to 20,000. want to buy a house? you are in trouble. median home prices up 16%. and the higher value zip codes are up a lot more than that, hundreds and a lot of places. here's the bad news if you want to buy one, it is at a 13 year high. so this really is worst-case

scenario. interest rates get high so people can't afford to buy houses come about home values don't go down because all the houses are being snatched up by big investors converting them into rental units. these are very distressing trends, and everybody feels them. that explains why a recent poll found that inflation is at the ball very top of america's list of concerns. ukraine, the single most important issue in the world, is not even in the top ten concerns. you look at a pool like that, and many more like it, and you reach the obvious conclusion. if you live in washington, you are responsible and inflation. and you think it is bad. it's been pretty easy for joe biden to say this, because you can blame food inflation just like you blame the election on vladimir putin. that is what he's doing. >> i'm doing everything within my power by executive orders to

faults, did not cause inflation in the united states. the people who run our economy in the u.s. government caused inflation in the united states. and they did at the old fashion way by printing a ton of money very quickly and that currency is printing a ton of money very quickly, always does. the way this is measured as the data set that the federal reserve uses to measure money supply. our money supply is not just going up, our money supply is going up faster than it ever has in american history. it stands at more than $22 trillion. for reference, on february 3rd 2020, it was at 15.3 trillion. if you don't have a calculator handy, a 43% jump in our nation's money supply in just over two years. so what is the result? the result is predictable and obvious. inflation is going much faster then say, europe, where they didn't spend so much on stimulus. none of this is his fault, this

we basically nationalized the debts, we transferred it to taxpayers from the meltdown. so we have way too much dad. and the only way out of that is to devalue the u.s. dollar, otherwise the u.s. government won't be able to afford the interest payments on the money that it owes. no one says it out loud, but it's absolutely true. we have to have inflation otherwise the u.s. government will default. you have to pay the price for their bad policies. so the who mismanage the american economy need inflation. the rest of us could've seen this coming ten years ago, but somehow we didn't. the second reason is that rising energy prices justify their transition to the green new deal. nobody in america whatever choose to transition to green energy, which is to put trillions of u.s. tax dollars into the pet investment projects of democratic donors. no one would ever do that voluntarily. that they are hoping that the price of fossil fuels will go so high that you have no choice.

the pandemic and not many had to float somewhere. it went into stocks, it wanted to crypto, and it caused inflation. now the government is trying to take inflation seriously. they have to try to reduce the balance sheet, they have to try to raise interest rates to make it more expensive to borrow in a record debt levels, so people are selling assets, selling stocks, some of the stocks going further than bitcoin, celie bitcoin and crypto. i want to make an important distinction here, because bitcoin is not crypto. bitcoin is digital property, whereas bitcoin is largely an unregulated securities markets, and it is similar in some ways to the 90s where you saw things chewed up in value and crashed on never to be heard of again. i urge people caution because we saw some of those stories in the last week whereas bitcoin is a very young but quickly growing technology network that has the power to disrupt and revolutionize our financial system. it was really designed to decouple money from power, which is called so many problems that exist in society. it is growing very, very

quickly. we might see some more short-term pain, but in the long run come i think it's going to be a winner. >> i think that is a really nice explanation the way you describe bitcoin, but the idea was that it would be decoupled from fluctuation in the equities market, but it seems correlated, do you expect that the change over time? >> i do expect that to change. ed gluck, right now bitcoin has largely existed in an environment for the government is printing money. it has been the beneficiary of that, so it does come down, but you know it? previously it is come down even further. this is a very young, very volatile early technology network that is going very quickly. a lot of people don't understand it yet. but again, very different from the larger crypto market. it is a digital property that has the potential to be in the hands of 8 billion people across the world and give them access to a more inclusive financial system. it is important to remember, with all this monday printed, we
