do you see how that works? and we have more on that. in the meantime, have the best weekend with the ones you love. we will see you on monday as congress holds the purse transfers public hearing first public hearing. we will be there for them. ♪ ♪ ♪ >> welcome to the special edition of "hannity." tonight, striking again. a dire baby formula shortage, of course, there is no mystery behind this new crisis. in february the own fda halted production at one of the largest baby formula plants in the country. but today i are very indignant

president declared that there is just no way that he could have seen this coming. >> a lot of parents are watching about baby formula. >> a few questions, all of a sudden it's on the front page of every newspaper and that is important. >> should you have taken those steps sooner before this happened? >> if we would've been better mind readers, i guess we could have, but we moved as quickly as it became apparent to us. we have to move with caution as well as speed. tammy: it's on the cover of the newspapers, so he has to deal with it. the administration and their allies are putting blame, a "washington post" fact checker called it an outrage. and yesterday the press secretary spoke out and bette

midler said try breast-feeding, it's free and available on demand. meanwhile, another individual placed blame on a woman wanting to starve small children in the government stockpiling formula for illegal immigrants. and another blame the united states for not having federally paid maternity leave. >> i think the fault lies in the fact that we have terrible maternity leave, a lot of women would love to be able to stay home and breast-feed their children and take care of their children and the fact of the matter is that we cannot do that because we have very limited maternity leave and we have to immediately go back to work to take care of our family, to feed our family, and the government doesn't support it and that. tammy: my goodness, it just never ends. the crisis is not going away. in fact, no one seems to know
6:03 pm
when this problem will be resolved. >> do you consider this a crisis? >> i don't think it's about a label. it's about figuring out the timeline of when it will be fixed. and we are working to do it as quickly as possible. you know, i'm not going to stand here and tell your audience that i can give you a hard time lime but i can't give you. >> even cnn seems unhappy. and my next guest has launched a website to help parents locate baby formula and her district, as well as pam bondi, charlie hearst who is well-informed about everything at the washington times and to let me

start with you, pam, what has shocked me about the joe biden a administration response, he effectively said that he has to address it because it is in the news. and that includes individual human beings and children are impacted by this every single day and what is driving the joe biden administration, and what could trump have done differently, which we would expect he would've done something differently in the face of the crisis? >> you know, the news is what is driving them. it's part of an america first policy institute, advancing the policies that put america first, most of them were those that all came out of the trump white house and i can tell you what donald trump would have done and the four corporations that manufactured the baby formula in our country would've been
6:05 pm
sitting in the oval office with the ceo of our country, donald trump, and they would've come up with a solution. donald trump would've invoked the defense protection act and he would have made sure the crisis is solved, and it is a crisis, and he would have put the fda on warp speed as we have seen him do in the past. and if someone did not help solve it, they would've been fired. we would not have been faced with the situation that we are seeing with the white house now and it's a shame that the country is coming to this. tammy: representative beth van duyne, it seems as though there is a new crisis every minute, reactionary framework, and they don't have forward thinking plans, and yet you are a mom and a person, you are doing something that the internet allows which is connecting people that find the products
6:06 pm
they need can you talk about the success of this effort? >> sure, we are not just going money out there, they are not just reactionary, they are causing the problem and then they say there's nothing they can do about it and it's just common sense if you shut down a production factory and they didn't even think ahead. she sent me a video of this young boy screaming, she has a particular need in which she cannot find the formula in which she needs. instead of throwing my hands up and saying there's nothing that we can do, what i did is we started a website, and we are trying to connect moms lifetime.
6:07 pm
it is practical and being proactive, and we need to do more of that. what we are seeing in the administration is one crisis after another crisis, and mothers -- babies in this country cannot continue to feed the fire that this administration starts and then essentially has no solution for. tammy: that is very true and we know that it was the plant shutdown that impacted this, we also know about 44% of baby formula in this country comes from china. so when you have the trade issues. when you have the pandemic. also there are so many different elements that can cause this problem. talking about food shortages, charlie, that we should expect. why would baby formula be exempt from that? >> yeah, it's because these people care more about trade, for example, with china, then they do the american people.
6:08 pm
and we showed joe biden talking about this, about this being in the headlines. this is a dire crisis. and i know mothers that are terrified of what could happen here if they do run out of the baby formula. and he only views it as a political situation, that's all that matters, the politics of it. and i guess maybe it should not be a big surprise, they believe in abortion up to the ninth month, they believe in sexualizing kindergartners, teaching race hatred to children, and genital mutilation for teenagers. at some point we need to wake up and realize that these people do not care about us, they don't care about children, they care about their own power, and they care about the globalist agenda, but they hate us and they hate america. 2 up until recently i was a democrat, certainly this is not
6:09 pm
jfk's democratic party. something awful has happened, women who are liberals, independents, conservatives, they see that, and pam, we know that they knew about it earlier because there was a whistleblower at the abbott laboratory back in october when we had a supply chain crisis and everything was going on, there was a delay for months up until february so how can you explain that they are supposed to be the champions for women and they are talking about abortion right now when women notice that they are going to be more concerned about not being able to feed their children as opposed to having an abortion at this .2 that's right, which is a true crisis. and they are doing nothing to help it. they are reading the news, they are doing nothing, and i applaud the great congressman, you are doing a great job in the state of texas for all of your constituents because you are

acting and that is what the trump white house dead when president trump was in office. and so look at what they are doing with immigration, the crisis at our border, gas prices through the roof. looking at ukraine, what is happening there now, they saw it coming but they did nothing, afghanistan was a total debacle, thousands of lives were lost. they did nothing. they put america last instead of putting america first. >> it seems to be when it comes to governance, you are of a younger generation, you are a woman that knows what's going on, every issue is a woman's issue and yet we have this country that is moving in a trajectory in which women are impacted because of the economy, marginalized people are impacted, the economy is awful, we have been told that we should expect the recession and prices on top of not being able to get

formula to babies, brain development in babies happens very early. it's not something that you realize until much later in their adolescence what impact it has. if you were to tell joe biden one thing, what would you tell him to get out from behind this eightball? >> stop with your policies meant out of spite to take back what was working in the last administration. start thinking, start connecting. this administration is absolutely out of touch with what normal everyday working americans are going through, they are absolutely out of touch, they don't talk to the constituents. he barely even comes out of the white house, we are having roundtables all the time, we are connecting with constituents. we are talking about their issues and we are trying to address them in a practical matter as well as we can. this administration the folks he's connected to our not doing their jobs. when you talk about what is going on on the border, the fact that you have all of that formula, we would not be having
6:12 pm
this problem if his administration actually did their job properly. we have some that won't even get down there and talk to the people that are on the front line. the administration needs to connect to do their jobs, come up with solution instead of putting gas on the fire. tammy: we know with the baby formula getting down to the border, they know how to do things, which means that they are choosing not to do it for the american people. we thank you so much, charlie and pam and congresswoman beth van duyne. and more on the struggling economy. according to the pew research center a whopping 70% of americans are deeply concerned with inflation and now the federal chairman is saying that getting inflation under control will not be easy and he cannot guarantee a soft landing, which is key and an important phrase. in other words, buckle up because we are in for a rough ride. joining us now is phil flynn and the chairman of the conservative
6:13 pm
political commission. so matt, let's start with you. some people may not realize when you talk about a soft landing, that means that if you cannot have that, that we would then be expecting the economy to be damaged and moving into a recession as a result of this and trying to control inflation. can you explain what is happening for the audience? >> i sure can. you really hate when the captain of the plane says hey, we have to be careful, we are pulling hard. well, that's what they are trying to do. he knows that there is so much inflation and the only way to fight it is to put more pain in the economy, raising interest rates, amazing housing prices go higher, credit card debt, already the consumers are getting smashed because they have to go to the gas tank and fill it up. and the cure for inflation is probably worse than the disease
6:14 pm
which is what he is warning us about. the problem is is that jerome powell cannot do it himself. he needs help, and the white house is doing everything they can to make inflation worse when it comes to energy. they have been fighting fossil fuels, they have had prices at record highs, and alaska, in the gulf of mexico. this is crazy, this is why it is not working. >> i will tell you that we know with president trump the action that he took was cutting regulations, we have basic common sense, lowering taxes, encouraging the growth of the economy, which with businesses in the economy, that would deal with inflation. what do use cvs the endgame, it seems like joe biden is doing these things deliberately, making it as though he wants the country to have these issues. >> this is the thing, the great hypocrisy, first of all, i think that many are saying that we are
6:15 pm
in a recession, basically what jerome powell says about a soft landing as we could have a very deep and painful recession. and by the way, presidents that go through these recessions are always punished at the polls, and that is what is going to happen to joe biden in november, i believe that is what is going to happen to the democrats in two years, taking these energy prices in and of themselves, this opening salvo, the desire to raise fossil fuel prices so that people will switch from fossil fuels to these renewable forms of energy, this is what they want to have happen, he can now blame putin and ukraine and all these other things, policies themselves that are actually self evidenced of what is now happening. do they hate america? i don't know, i can't get inside of their heads, but their policies do hurt america. tammy: we have heard the energy secretary in particular talk about getting an electric car, we have heard that, that if
6:16 pm
you had an electric car this would not be hurting you, so we seem to have a bit of an admission that this is deliberate. but the human destruction, emotionally, intellectually, financially on the heels of the pandemic, this kind of an economic situation causes with people. >> yes, it is on the backs of the poor middle class. these are the people that they are hurting is the poor middle class. and also shortsighted from the geopolitical risks viewpoint. taking a look at the water. this is the first war of the new deal. europe decided to get more dependent upon green energy and we want to repeat the same mistakes here. texas is already talking about
6:17 pm
blackouts, california warming that we cannot keep the lights on, you know, that we are going to these things, these energy sources that are not reliable and everybody pays the price. >> speaking of that, governor gavin newsom is making noise about maybe it is not a really good idea to shut down the last nuclear reactor, because everybody says you know, nuclear power is clean. this is not 1950. everything we do is better and cleaner and certainly cleaner than the oil we are trying to buy from venezuela, from russia, the dirty oil, it contradicts everything that they want. to make this is the problem is that when the federal government decides what a preferred form of energy is because it is politically correct, all these things, hydrogen, when meals, bicycles, whatever you want to talk about, they always choose the form of energy that they want and what they always do is, they choose wrong.
6:18 pm
each and every time. i have this crazy idea. use the tax code to allow people to use the resources, to create the different and diverse forms of energy. don't pick one over the other, let's see what is the best, so far the history of humankind, there is nothing like fossil fuels. if that is the form of energy that allows more middle-class ms and lower class people to get to the upper echelons, allowing them to compete, then i am all for it and let's start letting america grow again. tammy: talked about this with the green new deal. it is a national security issue, whether or not the economy is involved, all of this is whether or not this country can defend herself if under the gun. with china's tyrants or those in russia or anywhere else. >> you are absolutely right,
6:19 pm
every war has been one in part due to control of energy, whether it be nuclear or whatever. if you look at the joe biden administration, it's like they did not live through the 1970s oil embargo. if you remember those days, the united states had an economic situation. there was an economic shock and there and at the end of the day, you know, we were so fearful in this country. what if they cut off our oil, what are we going to do, and then we worked for generations to become independent and we throw it all away, now we are going back to where we were before and putting ourselves in that vulnerable situation and it is just nuts. tammy: the good news is, donald trump saved things with optimism and warp speed and commitment and then we sought joe biden burn it up within a few months. but it can come back. it can come back, the american

6:24 pm
tammy: now, jen psaki signing off as the white house press secretary today, ending her tenure, as the chief spokeswoman and propaganda where she spewed false narratives and played in never-ending blame game. here is a quick trip down memory lane. >> we have noticed this week
6:25 pm
that the gas prices have gone up, i want to talk about why. a lot of it has to do with vladimir putin. >> widely known, peter, there was a broad range of disinformation in 2020. >> why is the administration allowing migrants in the middle of this? >> well, i'm not sure that it's in the middle of the night. as individuals come across the border and as they are assessed or whether they have any symptoms, if they have symptoms they are -- the intention is for them to be quarantined. they are not intended to be here for a lengthy time. [inaudible] >> it was crystal clear. they could not get dishwashers, furniture, treadmills, other things delivered on time.
6:26 pm
>> the tragedy when the treadmill gets delayed. >> i hate to disappoint conservative twitter, but i'm going to circle back. as we often do. tammy: that's not what we were looking for, all of these generations. and now i'm sure that jen psaki will be at home or she will continue at msnbc, continuing to spin endlessly, and on monday, the new press secretary will take over the podium where we can expect to hear more of the same excuses by karine jean-pierre. we have david webb and joe concha. as i have intimated here, a lot of women and men have worked for a couple of generations now, to get women help.
6:27 pm
now we are watching this with a woman at the head of the department of energy, women who are generally now the press secretary and they have thrown their lot in with the lying batch, and they have just extolled it out. it is heartbreaking for the country, but we have a chance to change it. for jen psaki, maybe a year and a half, what do you think she will try to do, or will she change it up? >> oh, i think it will be more of the same, the problem is that without peter doocy there is a foil, she becomes much less interesting. she was at cnn for years, i don't remember her standing out where she was a great communicator, where someone could make a passionate argument. so i do not see her as being a big success that people are portraying her to be when she
6:28 pm
goes to her next job. and i cannot remember any press secretary who had that sort of self-congratulatory farewell to a remark like this one that she's had over the last month. some have said, including a former sunday anchor on this network that she was one of the best and greatest press secretary's, like, ever. if that is the case, why has her boss, joe biden, and his agenda failed so much, both in practicing and on a messaging front. let's look at the scoreboard, she is supposedly the brainchild in regard to inflation that has been rising, how is the message that she gave resonating. so when it's 6% of american voters that blamed vladimir putin for the current inflation, it's like, what is going on here.
6:29 pm
tammy: the press secretary is supposed to be somebody that comes out of the meeting, knows the narratives, the conversations, the work that's being done in the administration, coming forward, with a binder of information, like we saw kayleigh mcenany to all the time, answering the details of questions about the missions as well as what was being accomplished. she said something one day to clarify what joe biden said, and he said something that contradicts her. it is like that they are winging it and if she can just -- it she really a front person or she someone that learned something in this process. >> never followed joe on media analogy. [laughter] but i will do my best. did she actually read the job description? let's go and look at dana perino, others that we know well here. their job was to bring the administration message forward. jen psaki put her message
6:30 pm
forward and she was still playing the front woman in this, rather than the messenger for the administration where she made it up and circle back. and it will be no different, they are looking for a replacement, somebody like rachel maddow, maybe they will do something, she is going for this federal salary to a high paying salary, she has failed upwards as the american people paid the price and she just keep circling back and circling back, blaming it on someone else. so she did her job which is messenger for the white house, and that message at times was incoherent, and all they could think about was new and clever catchphrases to see how far they could extend something like this that is then turned on them. it's a monumental failure.
6:31 pm
sadly, the world is watching this. tammy: nothing will change. these are women, joe, i think that they understand that their job is to protect the image that there is a functioning white house and that is what it seems like she has been doing. whoever is behind the podium that they can get to do it, that is going to be there job, so effectively they said that they also have a new show and which has not done well. do you think it's going to translate? do you think that democrats will watch this because she worked for joe biden you think that it's because she's famous? do you think that she will fail at this? what do you think her future will end up being? >> you know, i'm not sure, tammy, that there is much of a base for this brand overall for joe biden. when you are at 33% approval. when you are at these nixon kind of numbers, when it comes to the
6:32 pm
handling of the economy or inflation where the border, i do not see that as being something the transfers because there is not much of a base to begin with. and again, jen psaki was the spokesperson of joe biden. she really going to the hall of fame at this point considering how low the numbers are and how the message has so badly gone? >> it is the lack of empathy, that this is what they seem to all share. you know, joe, her comment about the treadmill, the thing about calling a doctor, you know, you are supposed to not ruin our lives but to make it better. with her reaction, her reactions, it is to mock and to ridicule people who are suffering in this country. am i going too far in describing
6:33 pm
her attitude? >> no, i mean, this is the same press secretary that insisted skyrocketing crime, police officers being targeted in this country, it is only a fox news talking point. and why not go to new york, philadelphia, los angeles, the record murder rates there, it's a talking point of this network. and so yes, she is patently condescending, that will not be well on television. good luck with your new job, you've had it for a month and a half anyway and you should've resigned eight weeks ago, but she did not. >> trying to take care of their own and we will see what that brings them. in the meantime the rest of us are saving the future. coming up next, bringing you up to speed. what could this mean?

6:40 pm
lost the fight, can you describe why that is important? >> well, it is important because fusion gps, the sleazy research firm in washington and its founder, the notorious glenn simpson, they were really instrumental in this information scheming, licit scheming by hillary clinton. so the value of the durham indictments is that they expose in vivid detail how hillary clinton personally invented this collusion hoax, declassified documents now show that, campaign funding of the hoax, and the confederates are the ones that disseminated the hoax. first with a phony dossier and then with this computer data that they had claimed had showed this between the kremlin, it was a massmarketing e-mail campaign
6:41 pm
on a server that had nothing whatsoever to do with donald trump. it is gratifying, i will grant you, that some indictments are being had, but the real people behind it, hillary clinton who engaged in a vast conspiracy to defraud the government with lies, and james comey whose malfeasance to spy on the chum campaign, those people will escape culpability which is a tragedy. >> and this is why, jason, americans are increasingly concerned about what is to be the framework of justice that certain people do get away with anything. this seems to be the corvette. you survive, you got out, brilliant decision. but when we think about all of this plus everything we have learned, it is a miracle that we have durham because this is the kind of thing -- would you agree

you know, i think it is a shame that it has come to this, the media does bear huge responsibility here. they will never admit that they have this story fundamentally wrong. tammy: because they did not care. >> they hated donald trump, they wanted to believe that he was a russian asset instead of actually doing their jobs, examining the facts and corroborating the evidence, before recording it. had they done it correctly, this would not have happened. tammy: basin, 10 or 15 seconds here, that really is the crux. without the media this false information, this would not have what it had. >> the media never apologized, they never corrected the record, and they were culpable in pushing forward the narrative because they wanted to and they did not do their job.
