toe. he also used a helmet camera to a live stream the deadliest mass shooting and buffalo's history. the mayor of buffalo says the quick response from police saved lives, listen. >> and many more people could have lost their lives. that was the intent of the shooter to kill as many black people as possible. and that kind of hate there is no place for it and our country. there is no place for it anywhere in the world. >> police have the 13 people shot 11 were black including retired buffalo police officer who was working security at the grocery store. he was killed while trying to stop the teen shooter. buffalo police calling him a hero back at her lie we can tell you this investigation is active and ongoing from cell to talk to as many people as possible to try to figure out more of a motive in this case up or they want to look the suspect's

internet and on his computer. the fbi did not come in they did not say this was racially motivated and did not prosecute him federally. and they should have a pretty guess the problem is they thought it didn't fit a certain narrative. this should not be about narratives that are bad people out of the do bad things that are motivated on all sides of the aisle. the fbi should not play games with these kind of crimes. look at them, they are racially motivated get involved in prosecute anybody. with its darrell brooks student or this sicko no matter what the politics are. >> lar before we come to want to take a listen to what new york's governor had to say this morning. >> this is a toxics do of a rising right wing extremism, ideology that is out there. white supremacy, easy access to guns at a permissive culture on the internet. >> is all induced by the internet. the fact that platforms are willing to share this information, allow it to be posted but also it's about access to guns.

>> lar at your thoughts? >> yes, well of course access to guns, sean just talked about it. they're trying to make it about gun control spirit new york has with the most stringent gun laws in the country. 42% of households in america actually own guns. you do not see -- fortunately this thing happened it was suggested as a normal thing thank goodness. you look at the state with the most stringent gun laws is the state of california. and in california you have the most murders in the entire country with the guns over any other state. so adding more, and more, and more loss is not going to solve the problem. why we aren't addressing mental health as an element of this, i am not sure. but almost in every case we've seen these mass shootings there's often an element of mental illness involved. maybe there should be more of a focus and maybe there should be

a focus of more of that on our country the going to utilize this is much as they can on the left. they are desperate at this point this going to motivate their base breed that is why they jumped on the row of the weighed situation for the going through the same thing with this parade they want to make it all about guns. and unfortunately it's not the guns that are the problem it's the people that are the problem. and that's where the focus should be. ask leo let's continue on what laura is saying. i can tell you and everyone as a reporter, unfortunately i have covered so many mass shootings it's absolutely awful. the theater shooter back in 2012 was convicted his defense was a mental health defense. and then we have the kings supers accused shooter who right now a judge has determined is mentally unfit to stand trial. and here we know from reporting that there is a history of mental health issues with the suspects.

leo, all of the suspects all purchase their guns illegally. the mental health aspect that cannot be ignored. quick structurally right let me tell you why. there are family members who are aware of this the most difficult thing for family members to point out mental illness within their own family. lara is perfectly correct, saint sean is prickly correctly mental illness is it important issue for their families and denial. they allow the problems to manifest themselves and they continue. we have to address that. family members who are aware of this have to be aware of reporting this to authorities. what you have is situations as we exhibited are what we saw yesterday. i want to be very clear about another point. democrats all of those sound pieces or weaponize race.

they weaponize it for political gain. the left plays their race card. this case should be prosecuted and should be given justice in the manner regardless of using it for political advantage. the democrats cannot allow the classic white versus black scenario to go away without exploiting it. that is what you will see along with the cry for more gun control. as a lawyer set i live in california the most restricted gun-control state in the country. one last point how about the prosecutors putting away career criminals? >> right, all of us here of course our thinking and praying for these families in buffalo, thank you. there is another price and millions of americans will likely pay because of high inflation. summer vacation they knew evidence that democrats will also pay for it in the midterms, next.

show. americans are bracing for summer sticker shock as inflation continues to skyrocket. gas prices hitting another record high jumping a whopping 16 cents per gallon this past week alone to $4.47 for a gallon of regular gas. this will only drive it places more as the temperatures get warmer but airline tickets, rental cars and more surging in this economy. biden would rather talk about ultra mega incentive solutions or bring down inflation? >> it wouldn't be happening if joe biden not wasted energy the only strategy they have a stiff lecture they certainly are taking responsibility the american public see right through this. when you cannot get baby formula right here in tennessee pretty get policy grading crime across america in a border that's completely unprotected, people see through this administration. >> alecia i want to take a look at the most in recent inflation numbers that have come out in the cost of gases up 22% already

we have no that's not the right spot gas up 43% airline tickets at 33% use cars 27% and as americans go up to driving season are going to take the kids on vacation bread they want to go weathers to a lake in northern wisconsin they want to go to the park across the country or a campsite with their families you look at the cost families are going to pay, i don't know how democrats are going to navigate the midterm elections when the family cannot even go on vacation this summer. quick sure exactly right. this was going to be the first summer where things were quote unquote back to normal a lot of families are probably wondering right now what exactly happened to normal they are not going to be dealing with those same covid restrictions they've been dealing with over the past two summers. however there are no restrictions and the lack of affordability. this is something every candidate will be talking about leading into november. families are going to be looking around saying how do i feel? how do i feel to go to the

decision being leaked. you look at august of 2021, march of 22 and may of 22 it is a relatively the same when it comes to support republicans versus democrats. do you think this is moving the needle? have they overplayed their hand here? >> i do know just from being on the campaign trail and talking to voters out there, the democrats might want to think about treading lightly here. we are expecting the supreme court to issue its decision next month. so whatever the decision is, if it stays like it looks is going to from what we saw from the leak, there is going to be a reaction. a big reaction on either side no matter which way it goes. however if democrats are not careful here and these protests continue the way that they are and then you also tack on what sean just said inflation and the life of people are living in that moment that is what they're going to take with them when they vote.

>> we are getting more information i out of orange county, california. the orange county sheriff's department now tweeting about multiple people who have been shot inside of a church in that southern california town. according to the sheriff's department, happened at around 1:30 p.m. inside the geneva presbyterian church. according to the sheriff, four victims have been critically wounded, one with minor injuries. all victims are adulted and enroute to the hospital, and one victim is deceased at the scene. this is a developing story and a developing event that is happening right now about 50 miles outside of the city of los angeles. according to authorities on the ground, one person has been detained, and a weapon has been recovered. we will continue to follow this as developments occur. leo. >> thank you.
