this morning. i love the throw-back pictures, i believe from the 1970s. welcome back to fox sand friends. will cain, rachel campos duffy, lawrence jones with us this morning. rachel: good morning. both of you guys were up late last night. lawrence: have to power through it. hold on strong. there is a lot of news today. rachel: there is a lot of news. we'll go straight to the baby formula story. 78 million-pounds of baby formula is set to touch down from overseas this morning. lawrence: ink is dry on the baby formula app. will: lucas tomlinson joins us this morning. reporter: code name operation fly formula. the first air force c-17 set to

land in indianapolis, indiana. the first time they have sorties to deliver half a million bottles. some calling this disaster relief here at home. this is the timeline. this is updated guidance. 10:50 this morning the first flight expected to arrive. the a 12:50 first pallets of baby formula will be off-loaded. four companies are responsible for supply of the baby formula in the united states. ceo one of those companies abbott, ceo pledged to make the following steps. five million dollar fund for hospitalized children. fda approved facility in ireland and expect to restart the michigan plant in first weekend in june. it will take six to eight weeks before production is ramped up. that will operate at full capacity, more than double the current production.

he wrote, past few months have distressed us as they have you. i want to say we're sorry to every family we let down since the voluntary recall exacerbated formula shortage. formula makers are set to testify in congress this week. >> thank you. lawrence: couple things, why did the president leave the homeland while all of this is going on in the country. it is not just the baby formula and crime. the fact they have to have a special plane fly the bill for him to sign, i think it its ridiculous. number two, i had kevin wallings on yesterday. i consider him a reasonable democrat. rachel: a nice guy no question. lawrence: he has to defend what the president is doing. what he talks about this is win for the president because he acted swiftly. no, he did not. he was warned about this.

jen psaki even said from the podium that the president could not sign the defense authorization act in a case like this. i just think that as we discussed yesterday these are self-inflicted wounds, one. they don't do anything about them. when they get media pressure all of sudden, it is all hands on deck. then they want us to celebrate them doing their job almost six months later. rachel: it its such a great point. you shut down a factory that produces 40% of the baby formula, you wonder -- by the way in the midst of supply chain crises and all kinds of you know, food shortages already beginning to pile up across the globe and you wonder, how they didn't predict this was going to happen. i think, i brought this up yesterday, i think it is embarrassing for us on a global stage. this is the basics, right? feed your baby. he is doing this overseas trip

and we're having to have the military fly in formula from other countries. i think it makes us look really weak. will: hard to escape the ominous feeling in the american economy right now. talk about the food shortages. there is a wheat shortage exacerbated to the war in ukraine but not totally attributable to the war in ukraine. stock market seven straight weeks down. gas prices set record highs. inflation. american people can be forgiven for feeling very insecure economically right now. rachel: a lot of people feeling like well, maybe i want some buyer's remorse over biden if you will. which lead us back to the trump situation. as you guys know there has been a trial of, you know, the russia hoax. a lot of stuff has come out about you know robby mook, the campaign manager admitting that hillary clinton did indeed know that this was a hoax and it went

all the way up to here and she agreed to have it released to the press and let them go with the story, she would tweet about later, pretend she didn't know it was out there. the entire hoax unraveled. a lot of democrats don't know it has unraveled but it has. donald trump for his part is very upset says, where do i go to get my reputation back after this horrible scandal. really the slanderous attack on him happened. here is what he had to say. this is one of the greatest political scandals in history. for three years i had to fight her off, him talking about hillary and fight those crooked people off, and you never get your reputation to get your reputation back. where do i go to get my reputation off? i had to fight them off. if we had real leadership like mitch mcconnell they would do something about it, guys like bill barr, they would have done something about it.

lawrence: couple things here. we were told there was a first russia investigation to believe robert mueller. i understand how he didn't find this kind of evidence out there. if you have the campaign manager essentially admitting that hillary clinton gave the green light to disinformation they created, how come mueller didn't find that in his investigation? for all the people that rammed donald trump for saying i don't trust the system. what else are we supposed to mean? he is already out of office. we're finding out that our legal system what he was saying wasn't too off the pale. number two, real quickly, will, i think something very demented by hillary clinton. every time she gives an interview she relitigates the 2016 election and blames russia for her loss when she knows for a fact she helped created the disinformation and planted it out there.

there is multiple things that is wrong with this, will. will: 2016 broke the psyche of so many people out there. 2016 might be a great breaking point in american history. if you go back and think about it. you're axe withoutly right, we talk so much about accepting election results of 2020, there is sizable contingent of people certainly american politicians have not accepted the results of the election in 2016. the reason robert mueller didn't want this, lawrence, he was not looking for it. he was looking to establish a connection between donald trump and russia. he was starting with an assumption, an assumption planted in the media with the fbi there was a connection. you have to understand, everybody in the media outside of the fox news channel, went breathlessly night after night based the assumption was real. the assumption was planted what we're talking about, a little thread here in the media. a little story from the steele, ultimately that connects back to

the steele dossier, plant the seed, we can leap from that assumption. now we find out that assumption was false, nobody is interested. nobody will revisit. nobody will give a single second to coverage, that you spent three years on a false assumption. rachel: there is two things. those assumptions involve a person, donald trump. so he was accused of treason. so let's first remember that. they accused him of treason. and two, interesting point you brought up, will, when you said there is a lot of democrats leaders, not talking about the population among democrats, we know there are a lot of them who still believe that this hoax is true. what is fascinating there is a lot of democrat leaders who still blame russia. and i wonder as i was reading about all of this this morning, i was thinking, how much of that anger towards russia they still have over as you called it breaking their psyche in 2016 still continues to influence our

national policy, foreign policy with russia? this, donald trump brought up in this interview he did with fox digital that by going after him and putting all of this resources about russia into this russia hoax how many other things was russia getting away with because we didn't have resources on that? but again how much of this is influencing ukraine. andy mccarthy says, this whole trial is confirming what so many of us already knew. >> i think it really is a case now, brian of the paper trail is catching up with the things we always kind of knew. there is no way that the hillary clinton campaign would have concocted this political narrative which was really a slander of her opponent donald trump and then peddled it to the media, and tried to entice the fbi into investigating it which would make it a better story for the

media and we her light for the electorate, she was always in on it. i was always thought it preposterous mrs. clinton would not be in on her own campaign initiative. rachel: my husband, used to say, he was in office when all of this was going on, he would go to the town halls, is donald trump colluding, did he collude with the russians to win? sean would say, donald trump couldn't even collude with the republicans. how the heck was he doing it, it seemed so preposterous as andy mccarthy said, but entire american politics uprooted about this. will: i want to say this assumption i'm describe something rooted in corruption. i don't want to gloss over that or get that hidden under an avalanche of words. it was an assumption created by corruption and the point of well, we just ran with this four years bade on moving more illusion of an investigation.

"new york times," cnn donald trump was being investigated. what does that mean? somebody was looking into something you planted. meanwhile the durham trial, durham trial is beyond investigation. indictment sitting in a court of law and yet not worthy of coverage. lawrence: it is stunning to me. we'll talk about this later in the show when the president talks about his reputation. i wonder what legal analyst will say civilly what he can do, when you have this pile of evidence. the part about the media at that that ticks me out so much, the story was a shock to them. they knew the story was bad before mueller's investigation, which means they were a part of this the entire time. they could have easily said, they didn't tell us that, this story was shopped to us, we didn't feel like it was credible. "buzzfeed" was only person decided to run with it. they didn't tell us that. we're only now finding that out. rachel: there is a little bit after kink in that, before the election when they thought hillary would still win

supremacy to like this book. su. you're patriarchal person and so, that's her answer. lawrence: this is insane. this is what the book is about. the picture book centers on a black child talks about sitting in a school and church and a friend who is year like me. the boy is shown in the church where churches can preach all they want about love. the only thing i feel when i'm here is shame. the boy's spirit meets jesus who is apparently a democrat, tells him everyone is invited to love and to be loved. you know, i warned conservatives that this was going to happen. when i ran campus reform and we were talking about the college campuses kept saying, we've lost that battle. i continue to tell them, this stuff happening on the university level is going to be eventually fed in into the schools. we, we focused just strictly on

♪. rachel: welcome back to "fox & friends." from the baby formula shortage to record high inflation, no wonder more than a third of americans are feeling stressed when it comes to paying for usual household items and parents are feeling especially a lot of pressure because with these economic issues are they going to drive them to the polls? our next guests are all moms with some children still in diapers, mother ever two jessica joins us with mother of one, "washington times" legal affairs reporter, alex sawyer, mother of four, radio show host annie frye. start with you, jessica, you have two kids. tell me how you're reacting both to inflation and the baby formula shortage? >> so it's pretty crazy. i would say we're all pretty stressed out right now. me personally thankfully i have enough for the end of the month. we just had a mom last night

post on the group i created she had none to last her the rest of the night. thankfully we got her some to the end of the week. very scary. rachel: good to note you have a facebook page where you have other moms are coming in. you're networking shows the way moms work together through the crisis. unbelievable, throughed end of the month. i never thought that would happen in america. alex, you have a six-month old baby. talk to me about inflation, but also how you're dealing with the baby formula shortage. you were breast feeding, started to wean your baby off breast milk around the time of the shortage. >> bad timing. always a day late a dollar short. i've been fortunate we used european formula. i had extra supply of different formulas i tried. i tried similac, i posted on social media, inundated by people for the extra that didn't

done things that made it it looked like it was intimidated about i china. the reason the chinese were very aggressive before the trip because they thought they had biden on the run. will: what happened last couple weeks, sent a message the biden administration may be intimidated by china? >> ned price, state department spokesman walked back good comments the state department made on taiwan after china got a public his sy fate. it made it look like china was determining what u.s. policy would be, telling us what taiwan policy would be. that was clearly unacceptable. so that created a very bad impression among people. i think biden going to asia is sort of like a repair trip after the chaotic withdrawal from afghanistan. fail turf deterrents in ukraine. allies in asia were pretty nervous about american leadership. they were saying are you the united states anymore? so that is the reason why biden had to go there. will: south korea, japan, our

allies need to see strength from the united states. china sees weakness insecurity, now is opportunity to be more belligerent, push us around a little bit. do you think china looks at events in ukraine, look at the way the world responded to to russia feels embolden or says let's not be the belligerent on the world stage? >> my guess, on balance more encouraged that inhibited. a lot of things that inhibited them, some encouraged them. the most important thing, will, although we had overwhelming power over russia our economy was 13.1 times bigger than russia at the end of last year of the european union, their economy was 10.5 times bigger, britain's economy twice as large. all these nations were not able to stop china. china looks at that, look, western diplomacy is really bad.

♪. rachel: there is the song. lawrence: i do like it. rachel: of course i just didn't know. will: of course he is- rachel: they are? lawrence: rachel, did excellent reporting on the border. the biden administration is bound to appeal a federal judge's decision to block the plan to lift title 42 tomorrow. >> even with the order still in place for now illegal crossings remain at historic levels with dhs numbers obtained by fox news revealing more than 1000 crossed the border in 24 hours. that is one sector alone. with only 23 of that thousand expelled under title 42. rachel: i believe it. when i was on the border it was a constant stream of people. i took a trip down to eagle pass tex sakss to talk to law enforcement leaders, to speak with migrants. here is what i saw. we're getting ready to take state troopers taking us up over the rio grande. lieutenant, what do we have right here?

>> well, this is a group of 130 plus just came across. these five border patrol agents are tied up the rest of the day processing all those migrants that came across. pull the agents off the line exposes more vulnerable gaps along the border. rachel: lieutenant, what are we seeing here, a makeshift tent, tent city? >> right. this was developed to alleviate some overcrowding in the sector. what you see there is a fence. there is no type of structure around it, right? rachel: yeah. >> for this particular purpose they believe having fence or barriers is priority or vital to what they're doing here as far as processing yet, we don't see that along the border where it is needed. rachel: what are we looking at right here? >> you see panels from the previous border wall being constructed. we know the border wall was constructed last year. wasted panels that could be used for the border wall.

rachel: after getting a bird's-eye view lieutenant took me to get a closer look to the border crisis right next to the rio grande. >> this is area we see increased activity. see clothing discarded, shoes, personal items. rachel: this is someone's private property? >> all this is private property. that barbed wire was put up by the state to stop crossings taking place. you see what they're doing, some of the wet clothing use it to push down on the barbed wire to a allow them cross over. this is the federal government's job to secure the border. now the state of texas is bearing burden, resources, troopers, national guardsmen, putting up fencing. this is taxpayer money this is state funded operation. it shouldn't be that way. the federal government, this is their responsibility to safeguard americans, safeguard the border to secure it. rachel: who controls this area honestly? is it cartels? >> the cartels, using messaging the border is open to encourage

migrants to make the journey. every person that crosses river, a child, woman, family they pay a fee to the cartel. rachel: i spoke to cubans interdicted this morning. each one of them spent about $12,000 to the coyotes to get to this point right here being arrested. we just saw a group of illegal migrants cross over here. [speaking spanish] only people have any benefits they work from working for government in nicaragua. >> speaking spanish] rachel: so i started talking to them. they were willing to give me interview. border patrol came, said now you're in my custody, you can't talk to them, media anymore. this is another example how the federal government doesn't want us to know what is going on. i've been shocked by the lack of transparency. i don't blame the border patrol. >> federal government needs to be transparent what is taking

place. this affects everybody. state of takes. every state is border state because of crisis. rachel: saddest thing i've seen. children coming across. lifejacket. a child's lifejacket. making this journey with kids. >> this is much more immigration, but national security. we have to take into account children coming across how they're victimized by the criminal organizations, once they make a journey to the united states where do they end up? rachel: 60 miles away from eval did i, texas we're at unaccompanied minor facility for entire del rio sector. not even mayor is allowed to see whs on. >> local churches, clothes formula, food, kids in there, tried to bring it. weren't allowed. this is the most non-transparent government i've ever seen in my life. rio grande valerie, whatever, he has this entourage of law enforcement people follow him.

stay on the ranch two miles from the border what common ordinary citizen has to deal with because of lack of ability at that take care of border. family weren't let kids outside unless parents have a gun. rachel: with a gun? >> with a gun. because they don't know what is coming by. >> can't handle all this. >> we can't. they pulled all the agents. they are processing them. they won't send the people back. they they will release them. they're not staying in evaldi. they're going to your community. going to the big cities. east coast, to the west coast, to mid-america. will: wow. rachel: it was incredible. one of the interesting things, he is the mayor of this town. he can't, this facility for migrant chirp is in his town. he has never been able to be inside. never been able to see anything, but he does get information of what happens when some of those migrant go to the hospitals

because you know, people talk, small towns, right? 11, 12, 13-year-old girls having babies. we know what is happening to these kids when they come across the border. our federal government does not want us to know anything. i think my biggest takeaway, one lack of transparency from the federal government. they don't want us to see. two, i saw zero law enforcement in terms of, the law enforcement people are there, but in terms of actually using law enforcement to stop people from coming i saw none of that. it was entirely all about getting people and processing them. in fact at one point you saw supposedly the texas, you know, state of texas is coordinating, coordinating with the mexican government. across the river, i see military vehicles and people from the mexican government, the mexican military and police enforcement all across there but people are

still crossing. then our people just take them and process them. so, nobody says as you're crossing, i'm sorry you need to go back. that doesn't happen. they're not allowed, why don't you say go back? they said liability. if they drown going back, that is on me. i can't do that. will: complete the equation. both said a lot of time at the border. processing means what? rachel: processing means you collect them. they don't want us to see it, the facilities are closed, they're building more facilities, what you saw the big giant tent city. the irony, will, that tent city, they don't want us to see what is going on there, surrounded by a wall, you can't get in there, next to it the rusted trump walls they refuse to put up, won't even let texas to build that. lawrence: to build on your question, essentially the processing as rachel said, they go in there, get notice to appear. about two years out. many times they don't. they rip that up. you can see the notices to

appear in those local towns sitting on the streets. once they get the notices to appear, they are released back into the homeland, either, family members call to pick them up,. rachel: fly them. lawrence: two weeks they fly them in. will: across america. lawrence: across the country. rachel: i spoke to migrants, they came across before they were collected by border patrol, i said where are you going? this was a group of nicaraguans an cubans. one said i'm going to l.a. one said i'm going to miami. i have family in miami. i said how are you going to get there? they were quiet. they knew. lawrence: last thing i will say about this, what happened at the border because mexico has been the point of entry where people freely come across the border. it is not just poor people coming across the border. people want to get to the homeland, don't want to go through the immigration process, get fees, get lawyers involved.

people considered in the middle class in central and south america are coming to mexico just to get across the border that way instead of going through the typical immigration process. the biden administration is incentivizing people not to go through the legal process. quicker to get to the -- rachel: if you do it legal way you feel like a chump. there was a sign, put that sign back up? it was on our side of the border. you know that says, follow this path. so when you cross the river there is different paths. it says follow the path. are the cartels, who put the sign up? and turns out i found out it was, i was told it was border patrol. they know they will get lost. might as well tell them where to go, to collect them, process them through the system. i have to tell you i was really shocked. i knew it was bad. it makes me bad that president biden and kamala are not down

including adjusting it for inflation. by the way you can't even get the vehicles. a lot of them are on back order. i just, i don't understand how joe biden goes from, you know, scranton joe, speaking with average everyday people having such a high class message for the american people. i was just in p.a. with a family, talking about they can't even buy groceries at the store, having to decide between groceries and the bills. the daughter has to sell her car, that she just bought by the way so she and her dad can carpool to work to help out with the bills back home. she is leaving college. who is telling those stories of average day working people. by the way, that family is not a republican family. they are democrats. not anymore. because of joe biden. rachel: it is such a great point. it is so tone deaf, it doesn't

relate to what people are going through. again as you said, even if they could afford a 50,000-dollar car, you can't even get them nowadays right now anyway, totally tone deaf. there is no solution to this except that maybe this is intentional that they want the prices this high, will. so that people just think well eventually i will have to go electric. will: when you speak like that in this moment, it certainly makes it seem like you have an agenda you're pushing. when you start moving to all-electric message we're hurting to keep our cars filled up with gasoline it does make you wonder, to the point of it being tone deaf, this is the survey of american households what they're feeling right now, 34% are saying that they have difficulty paying household expenses right now. rachel: of course they do. because when they price of gas goes up everything goes up, food, you know, your clothing everything goes up. everything is so expensive right now. lawrence: don't tell that to

possible though i think if some of the other justices knew as well they would recognize across the board. when i have spoken with other judges, other people involved in the court, i think everyone recognizes that making sure that this person is made an example of effectively saying hey, this is not behavior where you can do this to go along unpunished. hard to imagine how that happens if their name is kept secret and they're sort of protected that way. will: i want to end with this. you heard me mention this, there is anticipation or expectation that tomorrow the supreme court could release, i guess we'll find out if the draft opinion ends up reflecting exactly what the opinion will be on roe v. wade. what is reaction to the news we could hear tomorrow? >> tomorrow, they will release some opinions. we don't know if that will be one of them. if it isn't tomorrow we'll be playing this game, waiting game from now until the end of june but i would say the sooner the better.

positive for virus that causes infection as city works to contain liege nair's disease outbreak in the bronx. let's bring in fox news medical contributor dr. jenette nesheiwat. doctor, thanks so much for joining the program. should we be concerned as americans now about this? >> it is important to be aware but no need to panic, no need to be overly concerned, just be aware what is going on around us in our environment. monkeypox, lawrence, this is not new. it has been around for many years. first identified in wild animals in africa in the late 1950s. we've seen sporadic cases and outbreaks. we even had it in the united states. the virus starts in animal and jumps to human and there is human-to-human transmission. there are two-ways pick it up. from the respiratory track, coughing, sneezing, bodily fluids, saliva, blood, close contact with someone it can

spread that way. inanimate objects on towels or bedsheets you can pick it up that way. it has incubation period for five to 21 days. most people develop fever, body aches, swollen limb nodes and a rash spreads on their face and spreads around their body. no need to panic. we do have vaccines available. we have anti-viral medications that exist but those are not widely available right now. will: so -- lawrence: so doc, you laid out symptoms, everyone will freak out, every little cough will say i got it. how do they know they have it? do they go straight to medical, any trepidation, that they may have it, go to the medical professional what should they do? >> that is a good question, you have fever, body aches, then you develop a rash on your face, spreading to your body, chest,

action to try to increase breast-feeding rates in the united states. we have seen a small increase in it but more needs to be done for it first of you have about 25% of working mothers actually go back to work within 25 days of their child being born. it's very difficult to women to go back to work, to breast-feed we can all attest to this or have to be accommodations in the workplace. also going out to restaurants and social events we have to take away the stigma of breast-feeding. make sure their places for women to go breast-feed these babies to encourage them and allow them the opportunity to breast-feed because it's good for them and it's good for their children. >> is a role for the government there's a role from our culture to embrace motherhood truly embrace motherhood and truly embrace what it takes to feed a baby with the breast milk. i agree i have a story want to share. member the first time i breast-fed all of my babies the last one had to formula as well she had downs and struggles. i member going to a restaurant i was struggling, i couldn't do it
