endorsement vs. the pence endorsement. as you know president donald trump endorsed perdue and mike pence endorsed the incumbent brian kemp. search saying he is the one that has already beat stacey abrams. so he is best for the job and kemp is saying -- i'm sorry, perdue is saying that that kemp is a rino and shouldn't have the nomination. there is going to be a big race. what matters to voters as you guys know, inflation is hitting a lot of folks very hard, including this business. they have already had to raise their prices up by 15%. and they are expected to be able to have to do that again. so, going to be talking about that, crime and what issues are going to matter most to them when they go to cast their vote today at 7:00 a.m., guys. >> brian: i think, lawrence, they will appreciate the fact that their governor didn't lock them down. that was one of the states that said okay, we are going to trust you with the knowledge we gave you about

covid-19. so, there's not going to be -- there is not a lot of anger that you see in other states. >> lawrence: yeah, brian, as you know. this is one of the states that stayed open. i think one of the things that we also got to have to focus on is the fact is that they got rid of that all-star game here and they said it was going to be jim crow 2.0 back here in georgia? voting is up not only for republicans but democrats as well. there is a big turnout for before election day. always so hard to get voters to show up for early voting. we are seeing record numbers. >> brian: especially in mid terms. >> ainsley: folks in atlanta are really worried about crime. if kemp doesn't get above 50% there will be a run off. we will see, he is polling better than perdue. who knows? the polls aren't always right. what's on the menu there, lawrence? anything good? >> lawrence: that's exactly right, ainsley. always hard to predict these things, but, again, as i always tell people when you go to these

general in this runoff. endorsed by president trump. we have george p. bush going up against him bringing the bush family legacy to that and name to that race. a lot of it clearly dealing with the issues affecting the american voter when it comes to gas prices and inflation. and then, when it comes to the political, as we break it up. state by state. it is a battle of all of these endorsements. >> ainsley: in your state henry cuellar against this progressive down on the border jessica sis narrow. 28 years old. she san attorney the daughter of immigrants, she is really pushing abortion rights. she is pro-abortion and he is not. he is the last last congressman a democrat he is pro-life. that is making a lot of democrat upset. but nancy pelosi still endorsed him and so did steny hoyer and james clyburn who has a lot of influence as we saw in south

carolina but bernie sanders is endorsing the female. >> brian: bernie sanders in texas? bernie sanders i think no thank you sign there. by the way, republicans would love for cisneros to get the nomination then they would have a real shot at that seat. why are a will win that seat against a republican more than likely. cisneros will be very vulnerable. >> ainsley: i didn't think about that. >> will: one more commonality across the nation, democrats do not care to have the endorsement of joe biden. it has done nothing. in fact, one race in oregon where he did weigh in, his candidate did lose to the more progressive candidate. >> ainsley: stacey abrams, when he went to georgia, she had something else on her calendar and couldn't meet with the president of the united states. then she made the comment georgia is the worst state to live in. that has been on all of the campaign ads. herschel walker said then why are you here? why are you running for governor? she puts georgia voters down and kemp says she has gone from owing taxes to now having two houses in the state.

in georgia and one of the most competitive in the nation. this is one of those key seats that we have to be able to flip if we want to take back the house. and we are ready we're up for the job. i'm telling you people are just sick. especially in the rural areas. some folks don't even have a grocery store in their city. some folks don't have wifi in our district. i mean, this is 2022 and so many people in our rural areas have been so forgotten. and they're saying look. we want people willing to stick up for us. >> brian: some people running in that state that don't seem to like it too much including stacey abrams. listen to this. >> we have to have a conversation about who we are in this state. and what we want for each other and from each other. i am tired of hearing about we are the best state in the country to do business when we are the poorest state in the country to live. >> worst state in the country to live. >> it's amazing for me you have

i think he is being driven by the climate crowd. the climate crowd wants high gas prices so we drive less, emit less, and we are all go to electric cars and help out the environment. president biden is on that team and it shows. the problem is we don't have renewables available now to take the place of fossil fuels. so fossil fuels go straight up in price. this morning gasoline very close to 4.60 a gallon and diesel as 5.55. the next step along the process is a recession. you can't -- inflation is being driven by energy price inflation. that's what we have got. and it's driving us over the cliff towards a recession. now, the president has a political problem with that. but he doesn't appear to have a problem with the green crowd that's pushing him in that direction. >> ainsley: if you are going to take something away from me. give me something to replace it with. you can't afford electric cars. they are so expensive right now

and no other alternative. >> that's exactly right. goes all the way back to day one of the presidency when he abandoned america's energy independent. at that point our oil production started to fall. natural gas production started to fall. and there was increased demand for it. so the price goes straight up. we are still in that inflationary spiral. and the president seems oblivious to it. i can't understand why except that he is driven by the climate crowd. >> ainsley: we talk a lot about diesel fuel. because that effects all of us it even if we're not truck drivers. we depend on them to get products to the shelves that jacks up prices if fuel costs more. is he talking about dipping into the diesel reserve. what is that. >> there is such a thing. only 1 million barrels of diesel in it. that is not very much. >> ainsley: that's a band-aid, right? >> an absolute band-aid if you release that on the east coast you may cut diesel prices 1, 2, 3 cents a gallon, maybe. but you are still very close to

doing last time? oh, what's this ballot? let's open it up. we can't exclude anybody. i think that's a huge problem. because now when you go to the general it's going to be tight. we know that they are going to go excuse me, i don't care if it's oz or mccormick, they are going what do you mean you can't count these ballots? didn't you just sue to make sure those ballots counted? i think it's a bad precedent. >> will: speaking of runoffs one in texas today. there is ken paxton against george t. bush. >> brian: bush is surging. in the end. paxton two investigations. might be looking at two indictments. they have held that off so far. that's what george p. bush the land commissioner has been brought up. >> ainsley: paxton the current a.g. they both have name recognition. >> ainsley: all leading towards these showdowns in the fall that will be the midterms. stacey abrams has seemingly

assume he is going to get the nomination. he is just walking around and he is finding out that these people have to drive hundreds, like 50 miles to a supermarket. it's as rural community as you get. all is he going to do is go up there, roll up his sleeve. he is a west point grad. who has got his masters. and is he going to roll up his sleeve and going to try to talk to these and try to get supermarkets in there try to get some strip malls in there to get the basic things that we have choices on a daily basis. you would be surprised how many rural communities don't even have those choices. >> ainsley: right. right it will provide jobs for those rural communities as well. herschel walker is also running for senate. if he win wins today he will run against raphael warnock in november for senate seat. he said about the stacey abrams comment he said then why are you here? why are you running for governor? she puts georgia voters down he says. then brian kemp said she has gone from owing taxes to having two houses in the state. surprising you would do that if you really don't like our state.

>> brian: just a quick thing on the state too. brad raffensperger. has a huge problem with trump fighting on the election pushback. some say too hard. so the president picked jody highs to run against him. raffenspergerer has a lead. kemp a big lead so far. herschel walker is a big push for donald trump going to him early. in those two situations georgians are not -- even though they like trump they like their guys better it seems. >> will: this is incredibly important. when we talk about our southern border, we often, rightfully, talk about the shear number of people that are making their way across the southern border. we're going to focus on that again in just one moment. but, if you will remember a few weeks ago, maybe a month or so ago, we started talking about a number of dare watch list. coming into the country not just making it in but released into the country. can i tell you that back home in

dallas this subject kept coming up more and more conversationally. can you believe? these are terror watch list individuals. >> ainsley: just the ones that we know. >> will: exactly. just the ones we know of. this is one we know of exclusive terrorist suspect garcia-amado, he was detained by border patrol, then released by border patrol. he was at large, i believe, for a couple of weeks before ice eventually scooped him up. but, to your point, ainsley, okay, one individual, scary, scarier, how many others are there like this? >> ainsley: is he a colombian citizen. so he was released into our country on april 18th. they put an ankle monitor device around his leg. he was then on april 21st, a few days later, flagged by the fbi. then two weeks later, they find him. they released him in yuma, arizona. they find him all the way in

pinal less county, florida. and people are scratching their heads wanting to know why did it take so long? why wasn't he automatically on the terror list when they originally slapped that ankle device on him. ron desantis is demanding to know why dhs released a suspected terrorist in the united states and allowed him to live freely in florida for weeks? how many known suspects or terrorists has the biden administration allowed in our country. tom homan said this never would have happened under his watch. he would have been arrested within an hour. ice did not get permission to arrest this guy until may 4th 13 days after they put that ankle monitor on him and found him two days later in florida. >> brian: here is mike pompeo on what actually is happening at the border and how vulnerable we are. >> we have this many people coming across the border that are unvetted, unknown, unmarked when they come across the border. that there is no way you can prevent the very real risk you describe.

we were always worried about terrorists coming across the border. we have seen what you saw these last couple weeks. we saw them attempt to do this. when you are an open borders nation, the bad guys will figure out the least expensive way to get through, the least costly way to get through, the least risky way to get through and today that's our southern border. this is truly dangerous for the united states. this is awful lot of ungoverned territory down there, laura. entering our country without being controlled. >> brian: amazing. the government has given up. so symbolic that the president is going to be in alaska 12:15 refrugal to come home. when it comes to the southern border he might as well stay in alaska. he has no intention of addressing it and nobody forces him to do. so you know because the border patrol says title 42 is released. at one point a judge is going to just say it's going to go. even though monkeypox might keep it in play if -- i think that might be a good thing to bring up to keep it in play. evidently it is here.

thanks. but the border patrol says there is about 100,000 would be immigrants ready to cross our borders as soon as title 42 evaporates. 100,000. texas has their own relationship now with the mexican government tried to get control of the border. that's how pathetic it is. >> ainsley: they are having to build their own wall and talk to the mexican government because the president won't. >> brian: who does this? the vice president was told border know will do root causes. two zoom calls and one visit and doesn't pressure ecuador, el salvador, columbia. these are our allies in mexico. love president trump. >> he nkd last one lost. go in there work together. we got to stop this you know it's spring now. you know it's going to surge. do you want some of these people to stay in your countries, right? you don't want them all in my country. let's work together on this or else we are going to hold back aid. >> will: i mentioned we returned to the numbers of people coming across. you brought the number up.

brian, 100,000. texas governor abbott says they are waiting to see if lifted. >> maybe as many as 100,000 migrants cross the border waiting to cross into the state of texas. and we, as a state, we being the local communities, represented here in this room today. they are all dealing with the enormous challenge of having a tidal wave of having people come into the community. >> brian: he is desperate to do something. and that's why he stopped everybody at the border crossing. legal crossing. he is trying to get attention to it like setting up flares in your backyard. >> will: i don't love the idea of title 42 being our. >> brian: yeah. >> will: i don't like stop gap band-aid ranking the country to make sure we have secure borders. >> ainsley: isn't that sad. >> will: i hope you don't mind me using your off air commentary on air and co-opting it for

myself. you just said i don't know if you have seen they are remasking in new york i would say oh, 30% on the streets? >> brian: still got preschoolers. >> will: wearing masks on the streets. philadelphia putting masks back into place. so remasking here at home but lifting title 42 on the southern border. just get your logic consistent at a minimum. while you are on it fix the southern border permanently. >> brian: or try. >> ainsley: so sad they are using covid to keep title 42. it should just stay in place forever. congress should vote to keep n place forever. we can't allow'8" legals to come into our country. we are putting our kids in masks but letting them. >> brian: judge saved us twice with remain in mexico and title 42. these are things that president trump put in place in order to stop the influx while putting pressure on these other nations and convincing mexico to put 20,000 marines on their southern border all combining along with them being forced to apply for citizenship in the first country they cross into. that reduces the trafficking.
