registry for bump stocks. will you be contradict this bill, congressman? if not, what is your plan to protect our kids in schools? >> absolutely not. i will not support this bill. i support protecting the second amendment. allowing law-abiding citizen to protect themselves. we don't know all the details of what occurred in texas. congress hasn't been briefed by the fbi or doj on all the details. we are still asking questions about that. and, of course democrats are going to use this as an opportunity to take away your guns. we are focused on school safety. when i was in the state legislature in florida i filed a bill that would allow for trained law enforcement current military, current law enforcement, to be in our schools to either volunteer or be paid to be in our schools to protect our children. they would be carrying a firearm to appropriately respond to any type of threat. that is what we need to be focused on is ensuring the safety and security of our kids, not taking away guns from law-abiding citizen in this country. >> carley: we have been talking about it all morning how we originally were told that the school door was remains -- was open and that's how the gunman
