trillions of dollars? go woke start implementing environmental, social governance esg opened the borders to millions of illegal immigrants, prioritize criminals over victimson and go green before green works. perhaps economic catalyst or c fauci. weat just recorded the highest r inflation readingec in forty years 40 years. we did it down. i yeah yeah you did it. congratulations you two don't believe your eyes or your pocketbook. >> joe's gotn' y this .hi >> millions of americans are o moving up to better jobs and better pay sincece i took office. families are carrying less debt on average in america. they have more savings than they've had because of the progress america can tackle inflation from a position off strength, a position of o strength that we're in right now. >> americans p seef right
12:02 am
through consumer sentiment plunged again this week, pp dropping fourteen percent . may to a historic new low >> but of course the whole inflation thing that's not biden's fault. >> today's inflation report confirmed what americans already know. putin's price hike is hitting america hard. inflationns p outside of energy and food, what economists call core inflation moderatedal the last two months. all right. sol let's translate the biden speak for you. it's not reallyor bad, but if i' is really bad, it's putin's fault. so blame him not me. and if in fact it is bad and is putin's fault, no worries w because core inflation is moderating. coreon inflation of course, doesn't count food and energy. so if yourg don't eat and you don't drive everything, it's just great. joe biden's america i bet they have a plan though. here'sn. the energy secretary, commerce secretary and the treasury secretary this summerco is going to be rough. >> i'll just be honest with you.
12:03 am
the reality isou..>> the that tt very much more to be done. ion o i do expect inflation to remain high, although i very much hope that it will be coming down noww it turns out you can't hopenas away inflationon that was exacerbated by your boss and his policy. just to give you a sense of the historical pain the biden team is subjecting americans to take a look at these numbers, groceries that seem the biggest year over year increase sincee nineteen seventy nine chicken is up seventeen point four percent, the largest increase ever. restaurants and oil are also seeing their largest increases ever. but gas prices don't matter. just buy a ninety thousand e dollar electric car .le you two can be as happy our michiganjudge senator debbie stabenow by an electric vehicle. never have to worry about gas prices again. these are the kinds off things that are going tonc make a concrete difference in american lives. my electric vehicle i got it
12:04 am
and drove it from michigan to here this last weekend and my every single gas station didn't matter how high it was. >> yeah, it didn't matter. thanks. thanks. >> my great advice. here's my advice. the president bikeehe. e since you love executive orders, why don't you issue something called perhapsg operation lightning strike cut through the red tape bypassig bureaucratic and legal roadblocks and make us energy independentcr like we used to be a couple of years ago that will do more than anything else to alleviate challenges facing everyday americans. i'm going to lay this out really simple. according to moody's analytics,s inflation is costing americans an extra four hundred and sixty dollars per month. now that may not be much when you're spending twelve dollars for each pint of ice cream like nancye cr pelosi. but for the average american that four hundred and sixty makes a real difference. well,nc joininge. me now is mona crowley, former assistant secretary of the treasury under president trump and host of
12:05 am
the monica crowley podcast, sean duffy, who's coming in and out of the screen, the former wisconsin congressman and nowow fox news contributor as well as the current texas congresswoman. one of our favorites, beth van is here with us and thank you three of you at least two of youthan over trying have a little technical problemse with sean. but congresswoman, i want to start with their sean. congresswoman, i want to startth with you because texas known for energy public land states like nevada, utah, wyoming and others, we could produce p a lot of energy. but what are people in texase telling you about inflation and about energy? i mean, youou talked about the numbers. if you look at t the average increase per couple, when you're talking about the four things that most everybody u spends per month, you've got rent, you've got gas, you've got groceries, you've gott electric. they're spending aboutec seven hundred $40 more a month on those things. that's nine thousand dollars a year for a couple. and then, you know, i just
12:06 am
heard, you know, the comments about oh , it won't ever have to worry about gas. you't just plug your car in .t electricity rates have also gone upr double digits. i mean,, i live in texas. i cannotot wait to find out what my bill is going to be . you know, when we hit our six or six degrees this sunday, i can't wait to findd out where our bills are going to be this summer. but when you think about that , the administration will tell a you anything butny the truth. they don't want to talk about these crisis's americans are facing every single day. nine thousand dollarsrs more a year. let that hit ho yeah. monica,, this white house just reeks to me of incompetence and they don't have a plan. they areth they're actually admitting it out loud. but this is an administration a year and a half into it that doesn't have a plan. well, you know, jason , i adore you, but i'm going to have to disagree with you on this. i don't think it's incompetence at all and i doo think if they have a plan this is the plan joe biden has repeatedly talked aboutab
12:07 am
this incredible transition of the u.s. economy. and while there's some pain right now for the american people, what we're going to get on the other end of this transition is going to be basically the green new deal. so this is all b of a piece, you know, a normal president given all of this economic blowback and astonishingly astonishinglyi catastrophic economic numbers on inflation and gassh prices and the supply chain crisis p and the labor crunch, he wouldri change course. there would be a course correction, a change in policy. butt you're not getting that .et and so that tells us that all of this is deliberate. this is a deliberate plan to inflict maximum pain o on the american people in order to get us through this quote, incredibly incredible transition in order to moveti the economy into a more collectivist marxist kindle of model. so they do have a plan and this is exactly it. out
12:08 am
i think there's a lot of truth to that . i served with sean duffy there in the congress and i think there is a lot of truth that i think the democrats and the d true greenies, they want high gas prices to justify exorbitant expenditures into these green new deals. but the problem is and sean, you served in the state of wisconsin local government,ty county government, state government.nm government, they they can't just go print more money like the federal government. you had a county in michigan. they can't send out t their police cars anymore because they've already blown through their entirehe budget on fuel. but not only that, tripoli f has reported that they're having to go pick up more people because they can't afford to fill their tanks. and so people are tryingl to stretch their gas tanks a in there running out middle of the roads all over america and at the sento trucks out to towt trucks and because people can't afford gas. but i think this panel agrees this is all b part of a strategic p plan to move us to the green new deal. the question becomes how many americans have to be thrown into poverty to accomplish this green agenda?
12:09 am
and at one point, if i can, jason , what concerns me is that democrats have a bigger plan here , the poor are the mores reliant we are on the federal government for yeah, shot with saying i mean, that's the problem here . and look, joe biden has promised more money. i mean, literally he just promisede more money not for the hardworking americans , o are paying their taxes doing the right thing.o wha congresswoman, listen to what joe biden said aboutt what he wants to do forll the countries that are sending their illegal immigrantseg. ng we're providing economic support, for example, more than, three hundred million new funding for humanitarian assistance for countries in thet region. we're going to providehee millis more , including to the world bank to support countriesie and communities that are carrying the greatest responsibilityha for migrants. >> that's a lot of money they're going to be setting this country.
12:10 am
that's all they know how to do is spend money. t i mean, they've spent trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars since biden's been in office. somebody has to pay that debt and it's going to be on's hardworking taxpayers. it's hurting working families the most. but i mean, he's bragging on this is that this is a good o thing. you've got moms who can't findy baby formula right now in shel's. who can't pay gas. p you've got police departments that can't even respond to calls and he's out there bragging about what we're going to give to the world bank. this is an administration that is completely out of touch with reality. and if they think that they can blame it on putin, they've got to look into at the policies. americans are facing this every single day. they'reeses not stupid. they know that it's the policies because we've been out there republicans as news and media talking about if you do this , this is going toap happen. guess what ?pe guess whaone this and this happens. what we're experiencing right now is not a shocke and it absolutelyno agree with monica. this was devised.
12:11 am
this was strategic and they're t doing it on purpose because j they hear and read some of the news reports.asd some of the news reports, joe biden is upset joe biden's a little upset at a his staff. i can't believe he's getting bad press bel. and the answer to this is they want more cowbell, more joe biden common-law out there speaking, but they seem of touchthtle bit out with america and reality >> a littlet. . jason know a lot, but care.simply don't care. and you know, the president isth out there all the time whining about his press coverage and hee can't believe the negative coverage he's getting. let me tell you something's. joe biden could not have survived five minutes of what president trump had to deal with on a daily basis p frm the press and frankly, from all quarters. and look, the truth is when it comes to the economic crisis in this country, it is all part of a grander plan and they simply don't care about the pain that's being inflicted because they have the eye on a much bigger prize and that prize is reengineering the u.s.i economy again intong a more
12:12 am
collectivist kind of model. and so they can't make a socialist omelet without breaking a few eggs. and that means even if they have to lose control of the congress in november and believe me, they'd rather stay in power. but even if they have to loset like they did in the first obamagate in termsob they will o that in order to advance the ball down a socialist track, they will doo that because they want to go two steps forward even if they have to accept one step back . a socialist omelet makes>> a lot of sense to me. look, s i'm sorryen about the technical problems with sean duffy, but monica and congresswoman, thank you so much for your time tonight . >> we do appreciate it. we'ree really sufferinguf inflation is is hitting stationly hard. it's painful to go to the gas station.re i think we're all just feeling that and interesting incredibly high expense is certainly me. send me back sky high where i used to fill my tank for $50 . >> now it's eighty dollars. a new quinnipiac poll released wednesday showed americans like
12:13 am
the ones you just heards from ranked inflation as the most urgent issue facing a country over gun violence by a margin of two to one . this says president biden keeps hitting his lowest approval ratings yet. joining me now is jim mclaughlin, pollster and president of mclaughlin and associates and tom bevan, co-founder and president of real clear politics. thank you both for joining us .. tom , i don't think it could be any clearer that the democrats are completely out of touchratouc with america. >> what are you seeing in theer numbers we mentioned that quinnipiac poll that is ofp a piece with all the other data that we're seeing. there's anee abc news washington post poll out this week. same thing you've got 75 , 80 , 85% of americans say that the economy, jobs, inflation, gas prices, this is their numberer one concern. it is an order of magnitude above anything else. democrats keep thinkingg that maybe it's you know, they can change their fortunes om on the january 6th committee or guns or abortion. happen. it's veryi
12:14 am
i mean, it's very, very clear the data is very clear that that inflation is the number one issue. and on that score, joe biden's approval rating is in the highgh 20s. he's under 30%. his approval rating in a real. clear politics average at a new low this week. thirty nine point four percent on the economy it's 34%. and ast' mentioned on inflation and gas prices, it is below 30 . so b he is playing a politicalal price and democrats are going to pay a political price ifli they can't turn this around. >> but time is running out. jim , you study this for a living. you're one of the best in the f business. in thereou think numbers and how they're feelinge about democrats and specifically the biden harris administration? he this is a disaster for democrats becausese this affects every aspect of people's lives . it's the old saying the old jim carville saying about it's the economy, stupid c. this is as bad as it gets. and i'm going back to since the summer of last year, even before afghanistan, we've had the president's job approval
12:15 am
rating upside down nationally and the reason why it was so bad and it's been getting worse since then is because we're in an affordable recession right now.ab when we tookkno our last nationl survey, nearlyk 55% of americans say we're currently in a recession. ng now the white house is telling us everything's great and what's even worseng, the white house 70% of voters% say things are going to a get worse and that's a lot ofof democrats and that's a lot of biden voters. yeah. tom , listen to what brian d. from the white house went out and told the world. >> this ishi his take on it. am >>il what do you say to families who can't afford all the? groceries right nowow i would say to them is that you have a president who is focusedf on saying how can i blunt the increase in gas prices? how can i blunt the increase in prices? but also how can i bring down the other costs that they're looking at when they'reinig tryg to figure out their monthly budget? it's hard for me not to giggle when he says that because their policies are exactly the opposite but isr p
12:16 am
that playing in peoria or are they buying that ? no. and biden keeps trying to tell k people that , you know, hey,ll we're in a better position the rest of the world. you know, unemployment's three points. it's like telling like someone s having their arm amputated that , hey, things are fine.d 75% of your limbs still work. technically true but grossly , grossly inaccurate and does not match the perception that people are feeling. and so i think the demonstration hasce a real problem because they want to spin the numbers as best they can. but at the same timeumn the puc is not seeing it. they're only seeing the downside. and again, it oesn't doesn't look like any of this is going to change, certainly not in time to help democrats for november. >> jim , these numbers can only get so low if you are losing actual democrats and more importantly to the how elections go independents. but i don't see independents going anywhere but to the right and his disapproval rating on the economy with independents is above 70%
12:17 am
. that's a huge number. the other thing is you even saw this in the quinnipiac poll is 60% plus of hispanic voters disapprove of the job he's doing. and the big reason for that with the hispanic vote is they come here for a better quality of life, for pocketbook economic issues as wellll as things like crime. and they're seeing that the american dream isn't what it t used to be and they blame joe biden and his policies for that . >> yeah, when you have all the levers of the policy, t the house, the senate, the presidency, it's really hard to start going and blaming vladimir putin and then come back and don't have a plan.ug america sees through that jim and tom , two of the best in the business. thank you for joining us tonight on the ingomar angle. all right. the one person who should have been called in front of the january 6th committee last night but wasn't. i'll explain with professor jonathan turley. >> that's coming up next . if something happened to you,

12:23 am
chairman have used a teleprompter. but last night itompt wasn't a hearing. there was no representative from the minority or the accuseding,. it was made for tv press event. you know, nancy pelosi is in charge of the capitol hill police and i know t she's gotng some stuff going on outside of congress like her husband's dui chargess and our congressionalre district is in shambles. one of the most crime ridden in the country. but if she had this intelligence that liz cheney said was available before january 6th, why wasn't a capital secure?ure? why wasn't nancy pelosi hauled in front of the committee last night? and while we're at it, whygh didn't they talk about the pipe bomb foundbo outside the dncun headquartersd that seems pretty significant yet we have no idea who was behind that . here to break it all down is jonathan turley, george washington d university law professor and fox news contributor. you're one of our favorites, jonathan. look, this just our seemed much more like a tv production than
12:24 am
an actual hearing. we're trying to expose facts and hear from both sides and have probing questions. >> well, it was a production, of course. they went out and got a high ranking abc media figure to come in to frame and produce this hearing and it had that feel to it h. but the most glaringng omission is the fact that there was anyg opposing view, as you know from your time on the hill, there's a long tradition over two hundred and thirty years of having a bipartisan membership of these types of commissions. they add legitimacy, they add credibility authority. and nancy pelosi decided to shred that tradition and shedi put on only two republicans who are obviously very anti trump. but she rejected the right of the minority to go ahead and put their own members on the committee and you could from the evidence and how i
12:25 am
it wast presented would havem been a much>> more interesting hearing to have a banks orve a jim jordan asking actual real questions last because there are otherea viewpoints this i want toi play what newt gingrich was- on the ingraham angle last night. i thought he had two very salient points. what the former to say of the house had and then i want to get your liz cheney who said openly , oh , they had intelligence reports three or four days earlierad, how can you blame trump if in fact there were intelligence reports three or four days earlier that there were extremist gangs who wanted to come and cause violence? second, the photographer that they brought said he was with the proud boys and he was surprised that they did not go to the trump speech. they went straight to the capitol. >> what's your reaction to t the speaker lined on to up there, isn't he ?
12:26 am
>> well, what is really disturbing is how the committee they ailored its mandate they're not aggressively pursuing the decisions on how they staffed and equipped their own personnel atit the capitol. many of us remarked on that day how light the security seemed to be the washington postgh and other newspapers have said it's simply untrue that the national guard wase offered toto people in the house and they turned it down p. r they'redo documents that suggest that might not be true and that in fact the offer was made. but here you have cheney himself saying, look, they weret told days before that this wasol could very well get out of hand and those witnesses said, you know, that same witness who said i saw hundreds of proud boys marching s on the capitol said when approached the capitol there was one officer at that first barricade and then the other the person who testified it wasa the actual police officer said that they were overwhelmed.
12:27 am
they simply didn't have many people on the barricades. and the question is why? and those are the questions that don't seem to be a relevant focus forcu this committee. those are the questions that would be asked if there was an opposing side, if therefe was both parties present and force the way they usually are on committeesce. >> well, and that's what's soha stunning about this because there was an obvious securitys in the video that they showed last night shows people with video cameras walking by police who are simply putting on their gear for the very first time. and that to me was absolutely stunning. professor turley, you're one ofy the absolute best. i really do appreciate you joining us tonight. thank you for your perspective. all right.. speaking of january 6th, liz cheney was the belle ofte the ball after last night's hearing. liz cheney's presentation wasrk remarkable. she laid out some reallyab compelling evidencee in a way that didn't come off as overly politicized. she has averl covered herself
12:28 am
in glory. she has covered herself clothed in character. she has risked her politicalre future. there are 435 members of congress. they come and go. most of them are forgotten by history. she will not be forgotten by history. harrietme now is hagaman, wyoming congressionalmi candidate and the challenger ton congresswoman cheney in this primary that's coming up. thanks so much for joining us on the inkerman. it seems like j the congresswomn was a little bit more interested in getting support from the mediaeser rathr than her own constituents. what'ss. your take? >> t well, jason , thank you foi having me this evening. butt that's what this entire thing is about. i was in casper last evening over 100 patriots, 100 people who are wanting to discuss the issues that are affecting all of us inflation and open border the war on our oil and gas industries. and liz cheney was sitting in washington, d.c. with democrats who are pursuing what i would describe
12:29 am
as somewhat of an open grand jury where any type of evidence that is that is helpful too h the defenseel or that is contray to their narrative they're going to ignore they're going to shove under the rug. this is just really a show trial. it's obvious frommit's the way o that their are approaching it. it's obvious from the questions that they're asking.with it's obvious with the witnesses that they're bringing in . in. this isn't about getting to the truth. this is about presentingh, a storyline. this is about presentingti a production. this is about making surebouto that donald trump is never able to run for office again. so what it is is it's a total abuse of power. liz cheney is a part of that . the democrats are a part of that . .ey they're using it to deflect attention from the failures ofhe the biden administration and it doesn't really have anything to do f ave with her because we cat to the truth. we know how to do that . butha this panel, this committee ,that isn't what they're focused on . >> well, look, i'm one who believes that there should be a vibrant investigationss inw what happened on january six .
12:30 am
i'm totally for that . i also believe that if you broke the law, you should be prosecuted. no matter who you are, youom should be prosecuted. but at the same time, i think l liz cheney and adam kinzinger for that matter, should have walked away s when nancy pelosi denied minority rights to appoint republicans that kevin mccarthy wanted to appoint to have the balance of power so that there can be probing questions when they delegitimize the entire processde by allowing just cheny and kinzinger, who had already made up their mind on the panel ,that was just wrong from nancy pelosi and don't tell me that liz cheney is the woman of doesn't walkn she away based on that fact alone. >> well, that absolutely the point that i'm making, jason , is the factt that there's always two sides to every story i agree with youu and under our government wee have to respect the rule of law and we do that . and if someone breaks som the l we have statutory provisions that address that . vi awhat this committee is abou,
12:31 am
again, is to pursuing a narrative. adam kinzinger, liz cheney, that is what they're what they're working on with the democrats in this particular case. this isn't an investigationh. ifout getting to the truth.. if you want a robust discussion and find out what actually happened that day, youou lay it all out on the line. you bring in the witnesses who have a contrary view. and thear other thing that you don't do is you don't make this a production where you're actually distorting what actually happened on january six . for o example, the voiceovers i'm a trial attorney, jason . i'm a constitutional attorney. i don't justorne play one on tv. and the fact is that the evidence and what they'reng putting in at this particular hearing you would never be ableu to do before of court because there would be the objections aboutd the fact that it isn't what happened that day, the voiceovers, the productions ,all of that again is about a narrative and an agenda. it's not about getting to the truth. well, harriet hagaman, you're running for congress therein

the truth with lisa a podcast.a lisa, since i'm in new york , let's start with what happened in albany courthouse. it was fumigated this week after someone releasedho hundres of cockroaches when an altercation broke out at a hearing. your thoughts? we are we sure it wasn't juste andrew cuomo walking around?ng ? i mean, we are talking aboutal cockroaches in albany after all. but you know, i feel like there's a lot of irony in the fact this arraignment was for anti eviction activists, yet they somehow managed to get everyone evicted from the courthouse. so that's pretty good actually . all right. we've got to go to the next we got rapid fire here, a girl and a guy there doing b the whippy in a car and the guy apparently has texted the girl gets the feed, she sues, they go to arbitration and now geico ise on the hook for a five point two million dollars because geico iss ensuring the car. i don't know if those fifteen minutes are really worth it, but what do you think, lisa?
12:51 am
well, i think instead of 15 minutes can save 15% it should be fifteen minutes can get you five point two million dollars. however,et it comes with a catch and the catch is catching anin std. so you that it's an unbelievable amount of money. all right. now on to britney spears. her wedding this week turned into a circus when her first husband, jason alexander, not not the onene who played george costanza, he decided to crash the party. now there's a restraining order' in place. lisa. er well, anderson, we were told britney spears was the crazyho one , right? i mean,ws this guyp shows up atk her wedding. they were married for sixty five hours eighteen years ago. that doesn't even count. i was in vegas of all places. p the dude walks around lifestream on his instagram and then told some guy that heat had been scoping it out forth three weeks. so, youee know, and we were told britney was the crazy one . yeah. this maybe that first marriage c wasn't the smartest thing ever. all right.
12:52 am
probably a few things she did that we don't necessarily weren't the smartest like shaving her head. but a yeah, i digress. all right. liklet's go to the u.s. men's national soccer team. i'm a huge soccer fan, but what they're doing right now iss absolutely just ridiculous. they issued a letterr and they're urging congress to vote yes on every single gun bill they get . it doesn't matter what's in it.w they just want everyone to vote yes on everything at least a rather than actually winning soccer gameser and focusing on the game, they're issuing these letters to congress. i'm not going to lie. o i wasn't planning on watching. i don't watch anyways. but now this gives me an excuse to say, you know, by protest and i mean yeah. i meanan i think it's conservatives are just so tired of all this being shoved down our throats and everyone's thumbing their nose at us for our beliefs. and this is whyhyth you can't he nice things and why everyone's so divided. well, they tied uruguay zero zero. they aren't exactly the bestt . am on the block
12:53 am
i don't even know you're . i don't know if they're good. you know, i don't even care. i don't think so.a little maybe they're spending a little too much timeti on writing letters to congress. it's just ridiculous. all right. lastit one here. harvard, they'rela hosting segregated graduation events a and they've been doing this for a while. >> but this year the school's s chief diversity and inclusion officer spoke c to them. and how do they not understand and get the irony here ?ir well, i mean, obviously she h get fired. she's not very good at her job . they don't want all these people are so well, they're all liberal and they don't't care c about exclusivity. right. they just want to be victimson and they want everyone to submit to their will if you disagree. so the wholehe exclusivity is garbage. they don't care about it. so you know, obviously show that and clearly she's not very n he or she is not very good at their job. no. that's why we should be spending taxpayer dollars to go for all this kind ofe e stu. right. like i said, there's always somebody doing something stupid
