sanctioned by university for alcohol and hazing violations. so they were on sanctions and yet they found their nose at it but it is worse 7 months before this happened this chapter was sanctioned by the university for alcohol violations so they were on double probation when this happened and the students could have cared less and they went ahead and did it anyway and if you go back at year or two there were more sanctions handled out to this chapter. university never closed they will down didn't expel kids, just wrote a little letter saying don't do it again. it is totally insufficient. >> unbelievable five gama said danny shouldn't have been put in a situation we support anyone being held accountable for conduct and consequence that may result. what are they doing they should be kicked out of fraternity and that fraternity shongt be allowed on that campus again. >> 100% correct but you can put

out wonderful press statements all day long and they read well and they sound good. but the reality is very different. i mean, this -- five has what's called a board of chapter advisors it's 7 men who are at a college they're adults they're not students. and their job is board chapter of advisors to oversee the chapter. they didn't do a thing. and they sit in those positions with the blessing of the national headquarters. they never did a thing when they were, when this chapter sanction 17 or 7 months earlier. there was no material consequence to guys involved, everybody dropped the ball and failed to do their job. j seems like law enforcement is not doing fraternity is not doing nothing no one is doing nothing. >> to be fair, law enforcement did their job. they did a very thorough investigation and wrote 144 page report. it is not on them. they turn that over to the

observed physical violation being used in this live stream footage at the classroom. joining me now is fox news contributor ted williams thank you, sir. this is crazy, number one. thank god that the parents witnessed this. let's talk about legal charming's here let's put the photo on the screen of these crazy teachers preschool teachers some of them 18, i think. attacking kids. look at these mugshots. this is clearly unbelievable, but this whats all of the time. i can tell you as a lawyer in the past, i've had to handle cases of a similar nature where individuals are abusing children and we don't know about it. but this is what we must say. thank god for a videotape. thank god for a video feed. thank god for some parents being

vigilant and being able to see what was going on in that room. but for that those kids could have been continuously abused. lawrence: you know mother who reported this, it wasn't her child but she saw other children being abused she said it was just a motherly instinct that made her look at that video here. the problem is ted, there are situations like these that are happening in schools -- and there's no video. there's none. so can we not even trust the educators, the preschool to take care of our kids and we're not even from educators we're talking about bask look at this stepping on kids finger pointing and pushing them around. these are children three-year-olds, four-year-olds -- >> well, you know, i got to tell you this may be the exception and not the norm. most of these are individuals who care for our children. they do a wonderful job. as a matter of fact most of

these -- these day care centers now have a video feed where the parents 24/7 can watch and see what is going on with their kids. but in this instance, these individuals were caught, and i am elated that the video feed was able to pick this up but the question is how many other kids have been abused at that one institution at this one location. it is very troubling. >> police say ted they're open to an investigation of this. i haven't heard much from the school i know they released a statement for us. but -- it doesn't seem like they're talking about getting to the bottom of this. you know is this trajing that we can't even sending our kids to places that should be a secure environment. you have to worry about active shooters but now you have to worry about people that are there that are supposed to just

president needs to be seen to be tackling these issues. he needs to talk about what the white house can do on the margins to reduce gas prices. there's not a lot of things frankly that any president republican or democrat can do but listen we're about to see your record oil production into next year we're almost at the same levels we were at 2019 now in net exportser of oil when it comes to gas price and have been since october and white house needs to stress that and he needs to have a press conference at a gas station he need to say this is what i'm going to do and bring republicans along in that process. because those frustrations are very real from the vote years talk to in dallas. >> yeah problem joe is that gas production oil production is not gas -- >> yeah. i think you'll see adam at mar-a-lago before you see joe biden do any press conference particularly one at your local on the shell. it is just not going to happen. look here's what joe biden said as a candidate.

know -- it just i don't recognize it anymore. and people who have move in the have significantly more money than people who were forced to move out. of course you have also land lords who couldn't get rent because of the pandemic for almost two years now that that's gone they're hikes the rent so there's a whole bunch of things that are conspiring to make this happen. lawrence: you know charles what gets to me is a lot of rich -- they move out of the city. and then you have all of these young people through their even getting loans from their parents or through those government loans or their financial aid or whatever. those that kept the engine of this economy that work through the pandemic stayed in the city. they've got el deuce as a result of that. but now the rich are moving rite back to poem that have a little bit more money -- and they're raise the price up. it just doesn't seem fair. you're right i have to tell you it certainly you know i feel every time i drive into new york i see, you know --

i used to go and live in on near the edge of manhattan right, and we use to go practice our football practice at a park in riverside drive, and we've had to go down train tracks through dangerous areas, under tunnels no lighting. and now there's a land bridge they spent a million dollars on this land bridge i see it every single day it is for pedestrians only a million dollars like when i lifed there they didn't have anything like that it was pure -- it was just unmitigated danger any one could have beaten you upstarns many people got harm just to get to football practice. and it is -- that's one of the situations that's going on right now. you're absolute right. now what i'm hoping is that -- ability to work from home might mitigate that and can mitigate from the city and stl do their job and in manhattan a better example is the difference between rent and building without a doorman and represent in a building with a doorman.

so by the way -- rent in buildings with doormen they have ska rocketed. so sometimes we look at overall number it doesn't give you a clear picture and why citizens freaking out? folks with the doormen don't really see it as much as those who don't have the doormen. so -- so there's a lot you have to dig dearn deeper for nuances why this is happening. i really think one of the big problems is affordable housing for younger people. right now first time home buyers that are eight year low. but nobody is building those kind of homes right now. certainly not in areas we're describing right you can build in a big apartment building and charge so much money and get paid. so there's a lot of issues here there's no doubt about it and a great squeeze when everybody else is putting squeezes a well. what bothers me lawrence is they may be capture and never homeowners which is great american dreams right so home with the white picket fence you know the kid, the backyard, and

for joining the program. you said that -- i could not sleep after you're uvalde like many texans do you take matters into your own hands, why, sir? >> i just knew with the experience that i have being a military for 11 years and then i'm actually in the private security business right now, volunteering with year and own community is one of the bigs things anyone can do and impact vingd had in that moment for people in my area to give them a piece of my mind and sense of safety in last few days of school. it was easy yis thing anybody could do especially for me -- i was available and i wanted to be there. >> so what's been the response from the community? are there more fathers, mothers that want to step up to the plate to also provide security for the school and to our leaders figure it out. >> yeah absolutely. i wasn't even the first person or the only person that day to

do it. i was just person that went viral for doing it. we had people at streets in front of the schools and newspaper produce people cool the day after post went viral at that school so outpouring of support a lot of people asking me for advice on what i'm doing and what my places in texas across the united states. >> sir, your security professional so what diewpght from our leaders what do they need to do right now? i understand there's a gun debate but seem like they're going to have that for a while. but from a security stand point what can they do right now to provide safety for our kids? rntion well i think it all kind of starts from bottom up but we need help from the top down as well whether that's looking at

lifting or reallocating budgets to increase the security measures that are at these schools right now. or whether it's -- you know, seeking third parties to go and do a security assessment a lot of these things will come down from state funding levels federal funding, and that needs to -- we need help on both ends right now. >> yeah. eddy -- i know you were touched by the uvalde shooting. what do you think the reaction has been from all over the state of ?x i know as a texan i was heartbroken but of to take days off after covering that story but as a human being as a father -- as a texan -- what was going through your head as you processed this? >> well, it's -- as a father, as a parent you identify part of your identity comes from being a parent. whether a caretaker or uncle those children are your identity
