so i want to know as a journalist, as an american, does this president have the mental and physical stamina to run again as president of the united states? >> jesse: don is a journalist now because is he wearing glasses. he is not the only one seeing the light. over the last 24 hours, several faces over at cnn has just turned their backs on biden. watch this. >> when he does badly, when he stumbles, you get nervous. and you wonder is it just a stutter? is he tired? or is something else there? >> there's no question that in some big way ways this administration, including the president and some of his closest economic advisers have got inflation wrong. >> how does president biden's performance rate? >> awful. the answer is awful. i mean, i will compare it to carter at this point in his presidency, right? look at the disapproval rating joe biden has on inflation right now. it's over 70%. carter, carter was not even there at this point. >> jesse: did you hear that? they are comparing him to carter. and they are saying carter was

better. now, let's be clear, here at "primetime" we are encouraged that cnn is moving a little towards the middle. it's something they have should have done a long time ago. but zucker was involved. but we still have a lot of questions. like why is this happening? well, we have come up with two reasons. why? either they have realized that biden is bad for business and he is bad for the democratic party, so he has got to go. or, the talent producers see the writing on the wall and they know they won't make it much longer if they stay unfair and unbalanced. i think the latter is more likely. you see, the new boss over at cnn chris licht, what did he lick? i don't know, wants to play it straight. today he announced he is banning the phrase "the big lie." you can't say "the big lie" anymore on cnn. he wants more objectivity. something cnn has been sorely missing. joe concha, i have been sorely missing him, is a fox news

contributor. what do you think is really going on joe behind the scenes at cnn? >> well, before i answer your question, can we go back to don lemon, the journalist for a moment? what else he said today? because i read this three times. i couldn't believe it quote: at cnn, we don't do opinion. we put the story out there and we try to stay in the middle of the road, unquote. and then, jesse, in the same segment because cnn doesn't do opinion or anything, he says this, quote: there is one party right now. that is not operating in fact. that has been misleading the american people and that is the republican party. he then praises the democratic party for, quote: standing up for democracy. i broke two ribs from laughing at this unintentional comedy. >> jesse: when he puts his glasses on, he says he is objective and then he takes them off and he trashes the republicans. that he was how that works. >> that's how it works? okay. but, eitherway, things have to change fast. cnn's highest rated show finishes somewhere around 35th in the cable news race, right?
