encounters for the year. just 4,000 were placed in this program and brandon, this can solve the border crisis. what has the orders been for border patrol when it comes to mexico? >> we haven't been given absolutely anything. we have 2,000 miles of continuous orders from texas and new mexico. and a few people every day in certain locations but it's not across the board. and when you look at how well remain in mexico works, 45 year lows in immigration and when you do that we go after the cartel. we can try to keep as much fentanyl out of the country as much as possible, which again saves the lives of children. yet, the administration doesn't care about that. they care about open active border activist instead of protecting the lives of our children. that is crazy when you think about it.

the president of the united states is supposed to be doing his job for the american people. rather, he's doing it for the cartel. >> carley: let's talk about the borders are kamala harris who seemingly absent when it comes to this. do you expect this administration to ever do anything about this because the border patrol agents are understaffed by 2,000 at least? the encounters keep going up. do you think at the very least he will say, we messed up and we better try to get a hold of this or there is no end in sight? >> there is not. when you go back to the first three months of this administration, we had over 170,000 apprehensions in april of last year. we thought for sure, every single agent thought for sure, that will be the ceiling. that will be the tenth this administration is going to do something to drive the numbers back down. we know that they can. went know that they are not doing anything. as we thought we hit the ceiling and those numbers continue to

rise, we are at 240,000 apprehensions right now. when you look at the data, nearly 1 million that we have, that is what we know of. we don't know what actually has come to the united states. we don't know what has gotten away. on top of that the 1 million already released, we have it more than 2 million people to our population. right now. that is 1.5 years of this administration. >> ashley: border patrol apprehended 50 people trying to sneak into the country on the terror watch list. when you think about 440,000 known got a ways, that is a terrifying prospect. here is another headline. the border patrol with the last three administrations, bush, obama, trump, together, dhs secretary alejandro mayorkas disciplining the agents falsely accused of haitian migrants in september. the letter says we ask that you

in deciding officials ensure a fair and impartial review of the facts. we collectively believe in the statements made by the president and vice president predictably prejudged the desired outcome of the investigation and may be therefore influence the case. how do you feel about this? this is bipartisan letter, meaning agents from the last three administrations speaking out against punishing these agents. >> yeah, i know every single one of the patrol agents. i know what they are trying to do pure they are trying to accomplish a fair process for these agents. these agents did absolutely nothing wrong. secretary alejandro mayorkas was there when the horse patrol was employed to stop these people from coming in. this was the single largest illegal immigration event in our history! and the outcome of this administration didn't do anything. the border patrol simply agents down to stop people from crossing come of course, they will become cameras. of course, there will be taking

pictures and video, but to cherry pick a few agents and say these agents did something wrong, that is disgusting. what makes it worse is that president biden, he already convicted these individuals without all of the facts and without an investigation. that should never happen in the united states. >> ashley: ran to him, you are hosting a conference at the border with g.o.p. senators. what can we expect out of that when it comes to the border security? >> we are hoping to highlight to the american public. if the mainstream media would actually pick this up and tell the american people to truth about what is going on, this would stop, but the american people don't know. they don't understand the harm, the lack of border security. we will not let go with everything that is happening for years to come because of the millions of people that have already into this country. we are hoping to highlight this.

>> mj, come on! >> ashley: finally a firefighter to smash his weight in the house, crawl into the home and handoff the child to the police. the boy is said to be stable. his family lost all of their possessions, but they say they are thankful the little boy is safe. and at least three people are hurt after a plane makes a fiery crash landing in miami on tuesday. the aircraft barreling through several structures including a small building in a communications tower that ended up wrapped around one of the wings. the initial report contributed to the crash to landing gear malfunction pure the crews were able to quickly evacuate a 126 people aboard and doused it with flame spirit miami mayor calls it a miracle that no one was killed. minneapolis canceling its annual red, white and blue fourth of july celebration for the third year in a row.

this time, it is not because of covid but instead record high labor shortages and ongoing construction problems behind it. phillip murphy is a photographer and resident of minneapolis. good morning to you. because you are a photographer you have covered this event in the past and taking pictures of it and the cancellation is a gut punch and another example of the city of minneapolis overall in shambles. what is going on in your city? >> a lot of challenges, that is for sure. that is a good question. today, i asked a lot of questions about this and couldn't find any real answers. it is a real disappointment. independence of the fourth of july, especially at this year after coming out of covid. people should be coming together. and the celebration has been canceled. i don't get it.

darius and the type of person he was. the memory of him and who we are missing right now. >> have you spoken to your team about what happened and their safety and how you guys are going to work your way through this? >> well, we talk about their safety all the time here that is the constant conversation we have with our team, even before this. but certainly, yes. we met with millions of them individually on campus, but also with guys that are not here right now. we did a zoom last night and had a lot of discussion about that and just making sure they are okay. they are dealing with a tragedy right now. they lost the on the court leader, leading rebounder, leading assist guy that they all looked up to peer that is what we are focusing on right now is the loss of someone we love dearly. >> tell us about darius in your

words. >> probably the most unassuming, quiet, humble star that you could ever imagine. i've said it before if you walked into a room of 30, 40, 50 basketball players and watched their demeanor and watch them walk around and interact, you would never suspect he was the best player in the room because he was just so quiet and unassuming. but when you get on the basketball court, he was certainly something really, really special. especially as he was as a basketball player committee was even more special as a person. he was loved on our campus, not just by the team, the teammates and the team but other athletes, professors. i've gotten emails and texts and messages from staff and faculty all over the campus expressing their grief over the loss. just because he interact with everybody. he didn't walk by anybody on the

little. at that point, we start -- i think that was february or march this year and a month ago we had to raise the prices again. like i said, we tried to be honest and straightforward with the community to let them know the situation we are in and why we do what we do. because you are selling ice cream in the best possible area and it is hot in waco, texas, and it's not even for a clock on the morning and already 80 degrees. so how are customers ants handling the price increases? >> because we have been in waco so long over ten years, to some of the people that have been with us for a very long time it is definitely a shock and we only do this once a year. so to be halfway through the year and raising the prices, it is difficult for them. we tried to be, as i said, straightforward and it's not up to us. it is our choice, but we kind of have no decision at this point. >> people understand what's going on. it is not just ice cream but

everything appeared that is really the unfortunate part. i was talking to one restaurant owner and for him at his avocados. he can't get them and when he does they used to be $50 for a big box but now $100, double the cost. i'm sure you are used to seeing the sticker shock like that all the time. >> yeah, and it seems like it's always something. earlier this year it was mangoes and this year now the dairy we use for the ice cream. it is so hard to find in waco that we had to go to dallas and by one-third of the price more. but as a small business, there was no option. we have to find things to make things work. >> you have to get creative. inflation is one thing but other issues affecting small businesses right now. supply chain and labor shortages and some businesses are having a really difficult time to hire people. are you running into those issues as well? >> it is definitely very tough
