trump white house aide kassidy hutchinson. she is alleging that then president trump lunged at an agent and try to grab the steering wheel of the presidential vehicle in order to steer it to the capitol on january 6th. the secret service spokesperson telling politico "we were not asked to reappear before the committee in response to yesterday's new information and we plan on formally responding on the record. we have and will continue to make any member of the secret service available." the agents mentioned in the testimony has spoken to the committee and want to do so again in public to refute the steering wheel allegation, but hutchinson's attorney says she stands by her testimony despite criticism, saying, "because of this courageous woman and others like her, the attempt to hide the truth from the american people will fail." this after she admitted most of what she told the committee was second and third hand accounts and in some cases drawn from conversations she just overheard. house minority leader kevin mccarthy says the left is

>> good morning, everyone. it's thursday, almost friday paid let's look at temperatures. the upper midwest is still warm with temperatures above average later today. it is summer time, though. we have the potential for showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for the upper midwest as a friend and an area of low pressure moves and as well as the southwest and the gulf coast, because we are watching an area of low pressure. i don't know if you get the name, and regardless of whether we name it or not it's going to bring the same results and that is heavy rainfall along the texas coast toward louisiana and the southeast as we head into the weekend. so there is your future track. you can see portions of southeast texas towards louisiana and the gulf coast states getting rained on, especially tomorrow into sunday. there is the forecast. some areas could get 3-6 isolated amounts of 5-8 inches for parts of louisiana. that's not good news. we look for those storms percolating this afternoon towards friday, large hail damage and isolated tornadoes possible for some of these

us, as well, and these are things a whole deeply in my heart and so do a lot of our leadership team. we've all got families but the place where you build your company, you take on some of that spirit, as well. we want to be in a place that stood up for what we stand up for it i think chevron is going through something similar. i think they're moving out just regulation and tax reasons but also for reasons i'm expressing, as well. cultural reasons. >> joey: let's take a look at some of these metrics that talk about what it looks like to have a business move from one state to the other. you look at local tax burdens, texas to california, 6%, 13.5%. that's state taxes. a total 7% swing between state and federal. and you look at things like the median cost of a home in texas versus california. they say it's 107,000. i don't know if that going, it is going to stay put that is a huge swing. the real estate market in texas

is high, but is still much lower than california. i don't know if we'll stay that way. do you think a lot more companies are coming to texas? >> i think definitely they are going to be coming, and you talk about the housing, that was definitely a driving pragmatic concern i had. like any good ceo, i know that were my bread is buttered is from our employees. they are the ones you get it done. i have a deep care for them. so many of them wouldn't be able to buy a home on the west coast, and they been able to buy a home in texas. they can get a big home here, in fact. to see the joy on their faces, and their families, and be able to own a home, that's big for them. we have been able to do that here in texas and they been able to take advantage of that. i think they'll continue where people can buy a home much easier relative to california. currently it is the case and yes, prices are going up everywhere. the regulations in texas are much more friendly to developers. that means you create new supply

gun violence to continue." as a last checked, the shooter is still on the loose. back to you. >> carley: thank you so much. here's something you don't hear about every day. a texas sheriff taking the border crisis into his own hands, detaining undocumented individuals and sending them back to mexico while the white house uses taxpayer dollars to fly them across the country. brad cho is serious of the county and he joins us now. good morning to you. what led you to do this, take matters into your own hands? >> yesterday morning we had a pursuit, which is typical these days, and once we got everything straightened out on the scene, the ems crew arrived. we went to the hospital in del rio. they check the individual out, at that point we will turn the individual over to the u.s. border patrol. under their policy, they couldn't take them until he had

been medically cleared from the emergency room at one of the area hospitals. well, there is not a hospital, so we'd have to transport to a facility approximately 35 miles away, and have to have two deputies there, until they were medically cleared. i don't have the resources right now to tie up two deputies. only have six full-time deputies. if i've two in the emergency room, for people not complain of any type of injury, tying up medical staff and having to wait 2-3 hours for them to be medically cleared -- >> carley: so when you see an illegal immigrant in keening county are you as a rule going to take them back to mexico yourself, or was this an isolated incident? >> this wasn't an isolated incident. 9% of the time, a snuggly endeavor, we turn them over to

border patrol. but because the biden administration and policies being put into place by the administration, i didn't have any recourse but to take them back myself. >> carley: no other options paid what do you say to people who criticize and say you don't have the authority to do this? >> i will also place the safety of the residents above the comfort of any illegal entering this country. my job as an elected official is to protect these people. that's my job. that's what i'll continue to do until further notice. >> carley: that's at to get sheriff does. there was this horrific smuggling incident that took place in san antonio about two hours away from you for over 50 people died in the back of a truck in the truck driver was reportedly high on meth at the time. this incident really shocked the conscience of a lot of people who haven't been paying attention to the situation unfolding at the southern border. did it surprise you? >> it was a shock.

he hadn't seen something like that since 2003, 2004, the situation in victoria where there was something similar. but not this extreme. but it's part of this administration. they are not enforcing the border laws, the immigration laws, things like this will continue to happen. the kidnapping, pursuits, the general population in danger, and it hit extremely hard in my part of the country. the groups were carrying watermelon. some of these watermelon areas, the dust kicked up by the people walking through. >> carley: so this is affecting people financially in your area? >> oh, yes. the torn offenses, the broken water lines, the windows that have been damaged. one of the local ranchers has spent expenses to keep his

cattle and livestock in. >> carley: last question before we let you go, president biden said he reversed the policies because he has a more compassionate approach. when you hear the president say something like that, what goes through your head? >> he's not being in fashion at all. because of this open border, this month alone they have recovered three deceased individuals in the brush. the past 20-25 years we are seeing one or two deaths in the brush due to the weather, the heat, the cold, whatever the case may be. but so far we've had five and last year we had 17, and that's the way up from the normal 1-2. it's not being very compassionate. i have on camera people carrying their kids across the country and not being apprehended at all. so there's no compassion. people are dying in the brush. >> carley: oh, my goodness, quite situation in her hands. thank you for telling your story this morning. >> god bless y'all.

military readiness, it is covid compliance. we have these people vulnerable to be discharged affected tomorrow if they don't get a vaccine they don't want and don't need. steel and we've got a graphic year, 3,464 have already been sent out of the military, they been reprimanded. to the point is that his thousands. out of a service that we have reported all week long, not one of our branches are meeting their recruitment goals. we are having trouble finding americans who want to serve and are qualified and i we are going to disqualify them over a vaccine mandate. in your letter you talked about natural herd immunity, exemptions of that nature. where do you think the secretary of defense is on this? >> this is where the administration's. you have this unconstitutional vaccine mandate that no american should be forced to comply with, let alone these healthy young military personnel. everyone has a level of natural

immunity or vaccine immunity by now. to force 10% of our force to be discharged because of this is unconscionable. two and half years into this pandemic it's becoming endemic and it's unbelievably administration would do this to our military personnel. we played with the federal government to rescind this mandate indefinitely because it shouldn't be forced upon our troops. >> joey: do you have bipartisan support on this? any democratic leaders support you on this? >> of course no democrat has joined us in criticizing this policy or to stand up for the constitutional rights of americans or, for that matter, our first responders, front-line workers, medical personnel who have been forced to comply, and the most courageous among us, those who serve in a military. >> joey: do you think they will change direction on this and allow these 40,000 service members to stay in the national guard? >> i think they are probably -- they probably just can't believe how can the russians invaded ukraine with

that whatever percentage of the military is vaccinated. or how they could invade the country that wearing their covid masks. they want or how they can pull them away from the client or to invade ukraine and if the force is savers enough to achieve victory. this is how the administration looks at the military. they think it's a social experiment and they are trying to force the radical views about our military and it's hurting them at a time when their only meeting about 40% of our berkman standards and roughly about 40% of american males age 18-24 are vaccinated. so we are writing them off and saying that they are not qualified to serve in a military because they haven't gotten a vaccine even though they have natural immunity by this time. >> joey: we need good men and women guarding and defending our country and hopefully they have an opportunity to do so. thank you for joining us. >> thank you for your service and sacrifice. >> joey: yes, sir. all right, vice president kamala harris is backtracking on these comments. >> have you talked to president biden about reelection?

it and pretend it doesn't exist, and the result is 53 people died in that truck. several of these are still in critical condition and may yet die. as you mentioned, and this is so important, when people think the border crisis stops at the border, it doesn't. it goes all over the country with every death from fentanyl, every type of human trafficking where a 9-year-old is turned into a sex slave. it's horrible and unacceptable and like it or not they own this. >> joey: speaking of the administration, here's what border czar harris had to say is today. >> how the governor of that state responded really highlights part of the problem, because his response, whether it's 50 dead bodies in the state, is to go straight to politics instead of dealing with the realities of the issue.

>> joey: kind of makes you wonder, what are the realities of the sheet? this seems like the biggest unforced error of the administration. >> i don't know that kamala harris has made sense of anything she has said in the past six months. it's hard to understand if she is just speaking words randomly from the dictionary or if she's trying to make a point. the point she was trying to make their was lost on me because she was talking about the realities. the reality, miss vice president, is 53 dead people in the back of the truck, because of your policies, and you are in charge of it. jill biden said you are going to be the czar, as you mentioned, joey. what kind of policies end up letting people just cross the border at will to be turned into? this is horrible. and why we don't understand that this is not about the politics of who gets to come, this welcomes people to migrate. we are a great country because of immigrants. thank god for them. but i don't thank god for the kind of exploitation of human beings that we are seeing where people are making millions
