momentum that we have gained in waking parents up to what is actually going on in government and schools has been refreshing to see. you know, more people are getting involved. more people are realizing they need to show up info in all elections, not just presidential election. you know, the culture of the left has gotten so toxic, it needs to be attacked on every level of government. i actually started a chapter of moms for liberty in loudoun county. that is our mantra, we are fighting on all levels of government. we need to turn this country around here these teachers unions are evil, and they have really taken over government education. we need to stop it. >> carley: well, i'm sure what said is music to your ears because you are worried about the children's education. we talk about the social issues and the critical race theory that is being pushed on some

children. but you also make the point, a lot of schools are failing our kids academically as well. >> yes, it is absolutely true. 29% to 49% of children across the country are not reading at a fourth grade level. a fourth grade level! by the time they are in fourth grade. so, that is astonishing that america is producing children and graduating children that cannot read at levels that they need to go want to do what they need to do. so it is very important that we pay attention to not only, you know, social issues but actually what are they learning when they are in the government schools? are they getting what they need to be prepared for the next phases of life? if they cannot be prepared there, they will not be prepared when we have economic crisis is likely do now. they will not be prepared to

handle simple things and dealing with life issues and stresses of life. if you can't properly -- if not properly educated appear that is done on purpose so children will continue to be dumbed down and e minions of the state. i think that is certainly what the teachers union and the biden administration wants. >> carley: there are so many issues facing the country right now, but they pale in comparison to safety. if your family doesn't feel safe they are in danger, that is the number one issue that i'm sure people think about. you live in new york city. it is crime your mind? >> crime is definitely on my mind. i've lived in new york city most of my adult life. i was born in the soviet union and came to new york in the late '70s when crime was quite high. the subways were in a dire state

in the '80s. we have a subway shooting and it was just a very tough, tumultuous time in new york city. i'm kind of a jaded new yorker. i think we will get there and this is a time of transition. crime is on my mind, but more importantly for me right now, the fact that our children in our city are still being held as hostages to our administration. they are adam yesterday stated that they are considering faxing mandates for our children while most of whom have recovered from covid or twice. i think the cdc says our children have 75% of our children actually already had covid. probably new york city the number is higher. potentially, that would keep hundreds of thousands of children out of school come fall because many of those children's have chosen not to vaccinate them. the fact we haven't returned to
