in chicago this weekend, including nine killed since friday. >> griff: mail carriers in washington, d.c. and maryland have been held up at gunpoint six times in two days. david webb joins us now, happy 4th. a quote from the spokesperson from the u.s. mail inspection service says this. this alarming trend needs to stop, it is sad robberies occur against someone providing essential service to our communities, it is happening here and has to end. david, your reaction. >> david: it is tragic, one, postal workers go out everyday and make sure america gets its mail. of course you don't want this to happen.

they carry a lot of information, personal information, bank information for those who get the mail version of that. stolen identities and robberies are beyond theft from the person, the fact they happen six in two days requires more investigation as this gang-style activity, it is the word getting around the criminal community, there are a lot of angles to that. democrats and the far left and defund the police have taken out law enforcement agencies. when you have less officers, you have embolden criminals. when you have 500 officers retiring in one month, records being broken, 10 years in one

month of resigning, detective sergeants, what are you looking at? hollowing out law enforcement and embolden criminal activity, not just in new york, philadelphia, washington, d.c., seattle. seattle announced they did not have enough resources to take on sexual assault and rapes. think about that. >> carley: you mentioned record number of nypd officers and detectives who are retiring and one of those officers, thomas gambardela, upon 20-year veteran on the force says crime is soaring and cops are leaving in droves. it is the people who will pay in the end and it does feel like this is an experiment.

defund the police was an experiment gone wrong and people are paying with their lives. >> david: experiment is the term he used, i would say it is deliberate plan. when you have black lives matter, and the people who stand up and say they are trained marxists, they advance their marxist agenda. there was a time people would say david webb, you are a conspiracy theorist, look at the elitists in washington like nancy pelosi who let it happen. look at joe biden and kamala harris, during their campaign, their staffers were proud, especially kamala harris, were happy to raise money to bond people out of jail and support

hunter biden get the information for secretary of state john kerry and international ambassador to beijing, baucus, the question is where did this come from? we have learned joe biden denials he helped and talked to his son about the overseas business dealings, that is false because of voicemail he left and has been preserved. >> griff: google issued a statement to "new york post" and said those are long-departed employees and we have no record of any such investments. they want to wash their hands and do away with it. how does this end for president biden or president joe biden? >> i don't think it ends well

for the president. we are learning information drip by drip and this very much reminds us of watergate and other investigations that we do find out biden's only hope we find out after he leaves the oval office, but it seems like this is coming so fast that is not going to happen for him, we will learn of criminal activities, i believe, before the end of his term. >> carley: i think it boils down to national security, gordon and do you want a president whose son's business partners are on a list of the world's sketchiest people and why does he need contact information for u.s. officials when he's doing business for china. do you think there are implications for this? >> i do. we know hunter biden went to

his new green deal down the road, they will not invest in oil and gas and get us back to where we can be oil and gas independent and we'll rely on other countries for oil and gas. pannedoring to venezuela and saudi arabia. our president is begging other countries to help us when we have what we need here. >> griff: question for you, is it because the white house is out of touch with the rest of the country or specifically misleading us? >> they're specifically misleading us and they're out of touch, i would say. you have the far, far left that refer to this ideology push thanksgiving agenda and i think president biden is a figure head and vessel by which this

happens. they want gas prices to go up to force a situation where we think maybe we should convert and drive electric vehicles, normal american can't afford an electric vehicle, even if they wanted one, this is intentional and has been since day one. it is just a blame game. >> carley: congressman, you are a navy veteran, end with your independence-day message? >> we're the land of the free and home of the brave, this is a special holiday, this is different from memorial day, this is day we celebrate being american and it should bring us together as americans. i think we've lost a lot of that, i want us to gets that back, that sense of patriotism, embrace each other as americans and embrace the freedoms we have
