a lot of young men in america look and act like this guy. some of that is true. while he may have a solitary fantasy world -- they are numbed by the endless cycle topic drugs -- and of course, they are angry. they know that their lives will be worse. and the people in their lives, mostly women, never stop lecturing them about their so-called male privilege. a lot of young men in america are going nuts. are you surprised? a shockingly large number have been prescribed psychotropic drugs. it means that quite a few men -- keep in mind, these drugs are meant to prevent crazies, and

5:10 pm
the journal of political psychology wanted a list of dozens more mass killings all committed by young men on prescription drugs. is there a connection? we don't know definitively. we do know there are a whole lot more of these drugs being taken by kids them never before, rather than entire population who is not taking this medication. between 1991 and 2018, total ssri prescription in the united states rose by more than 3000%. 2000%! 3000% of anything is a massive change. you don't see changes like that, but this change, the point of it was to make america stronger, more sane, happier. yes, you will become numb, will no longer experience deep joy, might become part robot, but at
5:11 pm
least -- that was the promise. 3000%. did it work? over the same period, the suicide rate in the united states jumped by 35%. millions of people got an antisuicide drugs and we want up with more suicides. is it possible that it's making the problem worse? mass shootings dramatically -- here's a chart that shows it. now they always show the same thing. correlation is not causation. what is going on exactly? >> we know that ssris are dangerous. there's a risk of anxiety, agitation. not a big deal. that's not causation. then what is it?
5:12 pm
young people who have been prescribed ssris have -- increased rate of suicide. we are not stopping, we are accelerating it. d's -- rose by -- it's not working, so let's do a whole lot more of it. this seems like a massive and extremely obvious problem. people aren't taking drugs that appear to be causing the behaviors -- in 2020, the pharmaceutical industry spent more than $4.5 billion on national -- in this country. now how much is that -- put that in context. pfizer spent more on advertising in 2020 van it did on research and development.

5:20 pm
we are looking at a cultural will i think there are number of americans, and -- who believe that we are the smartest people in the history of the planet when we are the dumbest, and we think we have outsmarted god's natural order, that the development of children, we can put it on the back burner, so that if there is a problem with your kids, pfizer has a pill to correct it. if you are woman, the most important right you have is the right to kill a baby growing in your womb. that is an indication of a mind-set for development and cultivation and nurturing of children is not a priority in america, and is by these people are being created, because as a society and culture, we put them on the back burner, told them they don't matter.
