in the supermarket and it's -- it is not something that the american people are going to be table solace in the fact and would allow them to think that this is somehow a thriving economy, it's not. and, unfortunately, the biden administration continues to just not deal with the reality of where we are sitting and they just want to continue to double down on their talking points. >> carley: you know, multiple texas counties, russ, have declared an invasion at the southern border and you for a while now have been urging state governors to make this very declaration. why do you think this is so important? >> because the biden administration will not enforce the border and we have about two years left in which they are in office. and as a result, it's incumbent on state governors to declare under allergy 1 section 10 clause 3 that we face an invasion and that there are self-help provisions to repel

that invasion and return illegal immigrants across the border. what we saw yesterday was historic action that local judges, county judges agreed that this constitutes legally an invasion but the facts on the ground and agreed with the attorney general of arizona's legal opinion and the concept of the foundation, the documents we put out. now, it's incumbent on governor abbott to go and do it, to secure the border. and what you saw is the counties are ready to stand with the governor and enforce the border at a time when the biden administration won't. >> carley: russ, we have about 15 seconds left. i wanted to ask you a quick question. now that they declared an invasion does that mean they get extra funding? >> texas has put forward a lot of resources to be able to ensure that they do everything they can. but it relies on the governor having to declare the invasion. he needs to do it. it's the one thing he hasn't done. it's incumbent upon him to do it
