1:01 pm
ended well, charles? what happens? >> yeah, good thing for that eric. airport officials here in atlanta tell us fortunately all of the passengers on board that spirit airlines flight from tampa to atlanta are okay following a fire that broke out during the landing process this morning. eric, it was quite the sight to see. take a look at the video taken by a witness who was there as this all unfolded. you can see dark heavy smoke and bright orange flames shooting from the underbelly of spirit airlines flight 383, shortly after it landed at hartsfield-jackson atlanta international airport. according to spirit airlines, a brake got a little too hot as the flight from tampa to atlanta was landing around 9:30 this morning, and that's what's believed to have ignited the flames. as you can imagine, it was quite a scary situation for those folks on board, many of whom were confused and on edge as flight attendants tried to keep them calm.

with nothing to do. >> eric: wow. that's true. i mean, spirit airlines says they are guests. that means you don't pay for it, or do they? they're passengers so maybe they will get a refund or get something. all's well that ends well. charles watson in atlanta, charles, thank you. you know, we've heard a lot of about teenage crime across the country. new york city, a 15-year-old person of interest we're told is in custody in the stabbing death of a 14-year-old boy. this horrible incident happened yesterday at a subway platform in manhattan in broad daylight. lauren green here in new york with the latest on this. hi, lauren. >> hi, eric. the stabbing adds more fear to an already cautious city. it happened in the middle of the day as you say when most new yorkers believe the subways are relatively safe. but instead, no one has been arrested for the crime as of yet. although there is a person of interest in custody. yellow police tape blocked the entrance to the subway station in harlem, where the 14-year-old boy was found stabbed in the

justice for their families as well, keep fighting. the fight never ends until you get it, so keep fighting. keep persevering. keep work towards that because there is hope, and i'm here knowing that there's hope and that there will be justice for my baby brother. >> we can all hope for that hope. one note on the crime stats, though, in new york, with this surge in crime, shooting incidents are actually down compared to last year. eric? >> eric: our hearts and thoughts are of course with all the victims of crime across the country. lauren, thank you. a frightening scene outside of atlanta. police investigating a recent road rage shooting that was caught on camera. a warning for you, the video we're about to show you of that gunfire is disturbing. this case was in a red truck,
