>> take a listen. i continue to believe pat cipollone is the best way to achieve this outcome and will continue to work with israel to counter other threats from iran throughout the region, including support for terrorism, ballistic missile program that continues and the proliferation of weapons to terrorists proxies like hezbollah. diplomacy will not stop them. the only thing that will stop
1:04 am
iran is knowing if they continue to develop their nuclear program, the free world will use force. the president and prime minister sign a new security pact where all of washington's national power, the president says, was promised to ensure that iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon. >> meantime, president biden visits, of course, saudi arabia to try to convince the kingdom to pump more oil. just hofstee for these odds. alexandra. well, it's really interesting. such decisions on the saudi side are made by gauging global markets and deciding what's really strategically best for that nation. so it's unclear how much say that president biden will really have in is later today. he will be making the first direct flight from israel to saudi arabia to meet with the crown prince. the white house just releasing a statement calling this an historic moment. but this is less than three years after the president called the nation a pariah, vowing to make them pay for the murder of washington post
1:05 am
contributor jamaal khashoggi. >> listen to this line of things. the president was very clear that human rights are always on the agenda when he meets with foreign leaders. i think he was very clear today that that the human rights are central to his foreign policy, the certainly central to who he is as a leader. and he will not shy away. >> and the president said his position on jamal khashoggi has already been made clear because he said, i always bring up human rights, but my position on khashoggi has been so clear . if anyone doesn't understand it in saudi arabia or anywhere else and they haven't been around for a while. >> so the question really is whether there will be any kind of impact on oil markets work. the president taking on this controversial meeting khalilzad. >> all right, alexandra field for us this morning. alexandria, thank you. let us bring in rabbi lightstone, served as a senior adviser to donald trump's
1:06 am
ambassador to israel, david freedman. rabbi, a lot to get to. a lot to break down. let's focus big picture. what does joe biden need to do when he goes to saudi arabia? >> good morning, carol. good morning, kyra. what does joe biden need to do when he goes to saudi arabia if he needs to change what leverage the united states of america has? what are his goals? and he needs to be direct about that. if we can just be macro here >>,
1:07 am
we need to be direct there and also consistent with energy at home, we must produce at home first. speak with the white house released a statement that saudi arabia has decided to open up airspace to and from israel or civilian plane to travel to and from saudi arabia and israel, which is the first step in normalizing relations between the two countries. and how important is this in
1:08 am
terms of israeli security in the middle east? >> so, the abraham accords creates an alliance and relationship with israel and many of the neighbors is critical. and i want to point out my was on the commercial flight from israel over to saudia and that took place september 1 of 2020. this is not new, in fact the saudis have ended over the plate is a big deal and a small step but a small step forward is much more important than a large step backward in all of this occurred in terms of the abram accords by jared kushner and obviously working for president trump back in august 2020. the first time the senior member of the united states used abram accords was two days after the afghanistan debacle and president biden just yesterday in jerusalem the first time and
1:09 am
publicly raising them, that is fantastic. the reason why, it is not a democratic policy, an american policy. when our error allies were together and we as americans are safer, more secure and willing to be more prosperous. >> carley: right now showing live images of president biden speaking in jerusalem pledging to give $100 million towards palestinian hospital and will meet with a leader today. this is something that would not have happened under the trump administration. relations between israel and the united states were a little bit more simple for president trump because he made it very clear that he was pro-israeli man. he cut off ties with palestinian that something that the biden administration has reversed. how do you feel about that? >> well, president biden is at a hospital primarily with arab and palestinians.
1:10 am
and the hospital should be successful to take care of wherever they are in the world. but the money and the palestinian authority without asking anything in return still have a law to incentivize a people to kill israeli hands and get paid more money and israelis are killed. how we show up and give money without having any preconditions to those meetings just demonstrates we aren't using our leverage where we need to. it is very simple. we appreciate and love all people and we want the best for them because we want them to be great allies of the united states of america. that is realistic. but let's be realistic these are taxpayer dollars going to the middle east. israel is our greatest ally by far in the region. when we stand strong with israel, peace breaks and with all that with abram accords and in between not even estate but an entity to incentivize and add
1:11 am
that to disaster and president biden going to eastern jerusalem and addressing palestinian people in his role on part of jerusalem since 1995, that is the undivided capital of the state of israel to go there. the fact they are trying to change the policy is an enormous mistake. >> todd: before we let you go,, you mention pick dollars present obama sent a pallet of cash to be 19 with regard to the iran nuclear deal. as alexander reported there was stuff frederick frederick in that press conference with joe biden and the israeli prime minister. what did you make of that tough frederick and will it lead to anything? does the nuclear deal get revived? >> i will make the same thing the israeli prime minister made rhetoric is rhetoric and the same with president obama and president biden, where there is
1:12 am
not consistency we don't look good. and rhetoric will not stop iran to get a nuclear bomb. we know they lied and cheated but why would we start a second meal without having additional leverage and additional control. and again make some sense and demonstrate that we are not standing strong with our allies. in the middle east to make it clear. these are not people on the fence. they openly death to america. it is death to israel and death to america is not pro-israel policy it is a pro-america policy. speed to the president left the podium after making a speech at the hospital and eastern jerusam and likely said he will be meeting with the president before he heads to saudi arabia for the most controversial leg of his trip to the middle east and rabbi, aryeh lighthouse,

thank you for joining us and sharing your perspective on this historic moment. we appreciated. >> think you and have a great day. >> carley: turning to the economy will say what inflation searching a whopping 1.3% in june accelerating much faster than expected but as americans caught with the sky high cost, the economic council ryan said that shocking numbers are "backward looking and tried to celebrate and make her drop in gas prices." >> one thing over the last 30 days, gas is falling every day and about $0.45 and peaked in june. that is reflected in the cpi for june that came out yesterday. so, that inherently is backward looking. speak with the surge comes on the heels of labor department report showing inflation restored to 9.1% in june and the
1:14 am
exceeding market expectation with a fast pace of inflation since 1981. >> todd: meantime, pushing back against president biden's repeated claims that u.s. energy producers are not doing their part. listen to this. the industries responding with the increased production. we need to see rhetoric and the messaging that indicates that our country supports increased production. >> todd: he mentioned oil companies are producing as much as possible despite the global supply issues. but joe biden's current messaging, corporations are finding it difficult to commit to long-term deals. >> carley: a new report from "los angeles times" and forest problems with a push towards green energy. and it says solar panels quickly filling up landfills and toxic component could contaminate groundwater is not properly disposed of. according to the times, 140,000 solar panels are being installed every day in the u.s., but only
1:15 am
one antenna expire panels are being properly recycled. who knew? >> todd: interesting in the meantime for 2 minutes after hour, and the american businesswoman and ex-wife of former president trump has died. >> carley: the trump family and loved ones pay condolences to accomplished entrepreneur and mother jackie ibanez with moore, jackie. >> a businesswoman and picture of social scene has dined at the age of 73. she was the first wife to president trump who announced her death on a glowing tribute to the mother of his three oldest children sagging "she was a wonderful, beautiful, amazing woman who led a great and inspirational life. her pride and joy were her three children. she was so proud of them and we were proud of her. her daughter, gushing about her mom, her passing of my mother, she was brilliant, charming, passionate and wickedly funny. i will miss her forever and keep

letters or measures allowing transgender athletes and women sports condemning the far right supreme court for the overturning of roe v. wade. the list will go on . aaron with freedom foundation ceo joins me now to discuss that list right there. how does any of that, any of it improve the quality of education for our children? >> it does absolutely nothing. that's the primary objective of the teachers unions. this comes just a week after randi weingarten, the president of the american federation of teachers, released a poll showing that nine out of ten teachers are going out there and 40 percent of them are wanting to actually go out and leave their jobs. >> 90% of them think that their schools are too politicized. and of course, they randi weingarten and the teachers unions have overly politicized our schools during the last two years. >> yeah, you mentioned that randi weingarten. it's up there on your screen. let me read it. nearly nine out of 10 respondents say schools have
1:26 am
become too politicized following year of political attacks on teachers waged by politicians stoking culture wars and banning books for political gain. a lot of incorrectness in that statement, not the least of which is a lot of the politicization came from randi weingarten. what does she think would happen with an agenda like i just said, she's an activist posing the firefighter now. i mean, she's gone out and created this problem. you talk about pushing crc sex education and keeping our kids out of schools, making them wear masks. these are all been the agenda of the teachers unions. that's why teachers of schools are being overly politicized. and i mentioned 40% of them are actually considering now leaving the profession. and also we've seen thousands of teachers across the country leave the unions not paying union dues because of the stances of the teachers unions. and we're only going to see more of that as their priorities continue. to be this political agenda
1:27 am
1:28 am
rejecting the agenda of the teachers unions, which is the most important thing we can do. >> but that is what i don't understand, aaron, exactly like you mentioned, people with these shenanigans are voting out of office. we seen it in virginia and so far in 2022. all indications in the midterms coming up in november, those individuals that voted for joe biden in the suburbs and many of those parents are saying i don't like this. i am voting for a republican this time. so why is the teachers union doubling down? why is the administration doubling down on something nobody wants. speak with the problem is until recently, teachers haven't had the ability to leave the unions and take the money and put it back in their paychecks and previously, have had a monopoly on being able to take money from teachers and left-wing politicians.
1:29 am
only recently have they been able to opt out and take that money back. the union is becoming more and more accountable to its members. i believe the more teachers that leave the union, the more teachers that opt out, though unions will be held more accountable to them because they will not have the doors they use to two final of millions of dollars into political races of people like joe biden. spare one aaron with the freedom foundation, thank you. crime is costing business owners big time in blue cities. those communities include starbucks from 7-eleven and small businesses with one seattle barbershop. talking to the owner there next.

fentanyl boast in california history is made by the dea where 1 million fake pills filled with the deadly drugs seized in a los angeles trade earlier this month. the drugs were found at a home believed to be a stash house by a tracking organization linked to the cartel. according to the d.a., the fake pills are meant to have the same look, color, shape, size of real prescription drugs. >> todd: soft on crime, los angeles d.a. george gas cohen filed a petition with the supreme court to appeal charging cases under the appeals court held the lower court's injunction saying that gascon overstates his authority and cannot refuse to charge three stark cases. they can dramatically increase for some of the most serious, violent offenders. in the meantime to recall gascon clearing the first hurdle as the registrar prepares a full check of 700,000 signatures.
1:36 am
gascon's appeal comes on the heels of the announcement this week he is disbanding the unit that notifies crime victims of parole hearings for criminal that victimize him. a lot of head-scratchers about the southwinds, giving on his policies with sean hannity. >> gascon is facing a recall petition. we are waiting for results. but this guy has doubled down. not only has he disband this unit for parents being victims and being notified me doesn't allow lawyers from his office. this guy has allowed the criminals to be in charge of the county. he's not a prosecutor, sean, he's a defense attorney! with all the crime that has gone on in the city, the starbucks closing, the 7-eleven and a string of shootings, this is a terrorized city and county because we have a george soros progressive d.a. speak with the petition to

recall gascon has received, there it is on your screen, more than 700,000 signatures, carley. >> carley: crime has caused starbucks to close across the country due to safety concerns. six of those doors are in seattle where crime is running rampant. our next guest owns a barbershop near one of those closing starbucks location, which he says will hurt the business not to mention he's been a victim of crime in that area as well. joining us is the owner of matthew humphrey, so sorry what is going on in seattle when it comes to crime. what was the reaction when you found out starbucks locations are closing and how will that affect your business? >> good morning, thank you. you know, it is going to hurt in several ways, first we are coming out of post-pandemic showdowns and restrictions -- shutdowns and restrictions and just when you have hope, there is a house a block away fm us in the neighborhood growing
1:38 am
and transforming right before our very eyes and we just had light rail that came in. we are excited to be back in business. and also we own a salon product store. so the community that starbucks has created with their third spot is going away. it is just because of crime. and we thought the same thing. >> carley: we are showing video on the screen that you set producers of your business getting broken into, i believe, it was broken into twice but tell us about that and what happened there? >> we just opened a new location in the area of seattle. overnight, we had to coyoung people break in, steal a little over $4,000 worth of goods and y were in and out in 6 minutes. the police came but never able to catch any of the bad guys. because of that break-in and the
1:39 am
other break in, we lost our insurance coverage for theft. and trying to find alternate insurance coverage, you know, the prior broker said "good luck in seattle" which is really disheartening. we are trying to help people that are text-based and we love our community. it is a tough place to be right now. >> carley: that is so unfair because the cops never caught the criminals. and you have to foot the bill for these crimes. my sister-in-law just got married in that area, so beautiful, but not for crime and no city is these days. seattle has a massive increase, 70% robbery, 32% increase in violent crime, 33% increase in aggravated assault. so how could cd leadership allow crime to get this bad? from your perspective, what needs to change to fix this? >> that is the question.
1:40 am
it is like the twilight zone. i have lived here since 2005, and it is just, you know, i can explain it to my kids. there is a little bit of hope. a new attorney and a new mayor are definitely talking the right talk and what we are looking for now is action. because potential car break-in from my neighbor business in ballard a month ago. you know, this past week, you know, people walking up and down the streets. so, what we want is a safe environment to run their business and bring raise our families just like anybody else. i think we are starting to wake up. the political divide is there but wake up to the fact that you have to have police, you can't just take them away and not have replacement. >> carley: a massive decline in cops from the police movement, but seattle had 400
1:41 am
officers if you can believe it. on wednesday seattle officials with a $2 million plan to increase the number of police officers in the city, which i'm sure his music to your ears. >> it really is. it is a growing community and we have high-tech moving more and more and release more intelligent people and so i hope we start voting that way and small business fails, that is the scary thing about starbucks. we used to follow starbucks and opening a barber shop or salon and starbucks was almost a guaranteed win. for them to go s r them to go >> my pleasure. thanks, guys, appreciate it. >> carley: have you seen this? senator warren slamming the door

ties with palestine in 2019, former president trump recognized jerusalem as capital and opened a new u.s. embassy there. the biden administration wanted to reopen ties with palestine, so he is meeting leaders today and pledged millions of dollars in support for palestine in a palestinian hospital, your taxpayer dollars at work. >> todd: as important as what you are seeing on the screen is important to the united states, middle easts, it is appetizer in what is sure to be busy day and time there overseas when president biden meets with the saudi royalty. all eyes on that and what it will mean for oil price and other major issues in our world today. >> carley: appears to be a beautiful day in bethlehem,

1:52 am
regardless of where one stands on justice thomas, he is among the pantheon of black trailblazers and has integrity, and commitment to the constitution of the united states of america. the left claims, glen, why is this type of racism okay with them, then? >> that's a good question and what motivated us to write this letter to make clear it is not okay with us. there is prenicious belief that -- you weren't really black and it has gone too far. justice thomas is a great man, you don't have to agree with this jurisdiction to see what is possible in this country and african americans and all of us americans should be proud of
1:53 am
what it is he has accomplished. again, you don't have to agree with his jurisdiction to see this point. >> todd: the letter reads as follows, white progressives do not have moral authority to excommunicate a black man from his race because they disagree with him. are you getting sick and tired of white liberals dictating what is racist and what is not? >> this skin color war based upon the color of a person's skin, we're one blood and one human race and justice thomas is being attacked because he supports the united states constitution of america, regardless of skin color. we value his ethnicity, i'm an african american woman with great respect for justice thomas, as well, so to attack him on his values and his position, on the constitution of the united states and attribute
1:54 am
it to him not regarding his skin color, skin color racism is divisive, it is race baiting and to be told you ain't black unless you support the leftist agenda and that came from the president of the united states. justice thomas, his position on the united states constitution is very solid, it is supportable. he's being attacked not because of skin color, that is being turn into the whole argument to muddy this position. his position is just, it is fair and i admire him personally and i'm one of the hundreds who support him, who have brown or black skin. >> todd: glenn, many like you eluded to admitted they disagree with justice thomas on the roe v. wade decision. taken as a whole, how much harm does an attack on justice thomas do to notion of equality in our

country? >> that was for glenn. >> woman carries a baby, they want to tell a black man he can't support the constitution of the united states. >> todd: glenn, we have run out of time to summarize your thoughts, appreciate your time. >> sorry, glenn. >> that's okay. that's okay. the trump family mourning the life of ivanka. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back. >> carley: we'll be right back.
