still on the table. listen. >> this is an issue that has been front of mind for him. this is an issue that has been when it comes to the climate crisis a priority. and taking action is something that he said he will do, if congress won't. not just going to stop with the actions of tomorrow, but i would not plan a -- an announcement this week on national climate emergency. again, everything is on the table. it's just not going to be this week on that decision. >> brian: so one thing you have to say is the president comes in. is he talking about his green agenda. a green agenda where technology has not reached the aspirations of the democratic party. it's not close. add to that the economic strains on our economy. economic strains on oil and gas. and makes a lot of people wonder, is the president on some way john kerry and a lot of the left wing of the party, are they somehow happy, smiling behind the scenes that gas is becoming unaffordable, that people are looking at their home heating bill or their air conditioning

bill and saying this is through the roof. maybe this is the time to push the green agenda. maybe we are going to force it down people's throats. we will take this crisis and force it down people's throats. two things that happened. joe manchin has stopped it legislatively and the supreme court has stopped it legally, stopping the e.p.a. from strangling states like west virginia, that are known for coal and other oil and gas states. they said no, the e.p.a. is overstretched, they are overreaching, pull back. so he thinks he is going to do it with a pen. >> ainsley: republican levin is calling joe manchin, they are all criticizing joe manchin. they are mad at him because he is not pushing this energy or not passing the tax provisions or the climate provisions in the house. and/or in the senate. and so, andy levin, is he a congressman. he calls him lucy manchin he is referring to charlie brown. >> steve: lucy with the

football. >> ainsley: whole democratic team comes to kick the ball and he picks it up and laughs. joe manchin says hold on a minute i understand what you are saying. if you look at my state what are the people concerned about? if you look at the polls every american is concerned about inflation. that is my focus right now. i'm worried about people putting gas in their car to go to work. putting food on the table and feeding their family. >> steve: to your point about the green agenda, we have said on this program during this entire crisis where the prices have been through the roof, a lot of climate activists would love for gas to be $25 a gallon to force you to drive an electric vehicle. so, yesterday, in front of the house transportation and infrastructure committee, they had secretary pete buttigieg and he is in charge of supply chain stuff, you know that and the department of transportation. and he actually said out loud and that's why this is the headline to a congressman from down in florida. carlos gimenez. he was asking the congressman and congress to help him

goal is to have half the cars in america be electric by the year 2030. and the question was whether or not the electric grid could handle it. and mr. massi noted that if that happened, american families would use 25 times more electricity for their cars than their refrigerators. and he asked secretary buttigieg, he said do you think that would strain the grid if everyone plugged in 25 refrigerators in every household and secretary buttigieg said sure. that is if we don't upgrade the grid. the problem is, they haven't upgraded the grid. >> brian: it will still burn and emit gases which most left wing audiences would make you think as though that will be causing america -- excuse me the world to heat up. but the one thing about john kerry, who is the climate swlar and for the longest time i said can we please get a climate czar how many times have i said that

excused for it. andy, you know there is a portion of america who believes this is all because of vladimir putin. when you look at the inflation, june 2021 to june of this past year year over year gas is up'6" 0%. there is a portion of people who believe the white house when they say well, you know what? it's the putin price hike. but in reality gas had gone up over a dollar before mr. putin even started moving anything around over there. >> well, you know, russia is exporting more oil now than it did before the pandemic. >> steve: that's right. >> the problem is the united states is producing less oil than it did before the pandemic. so even jerome powell, who is the chair of the federal reserve bank as you know. came out and said this argument that putin is the cause for increased oil prices just is false. it's just not true. people can believe whatever they want to believe. you want to these inconsistent and repeated erroneous statements come out of the white house, you are certainly

entitled to believe that. if you try to think about it a little bit, you will know it's just not true. >> steve: meanwhile, one other topic we wanted it touch on because you were in the franchise business for a while, the former ceo of starbucks, howard schultz who ran for president as a democrat, currently the ceo again, in a leaked video, he is talking a little bit about these woke cities and how they have led to all sorts of crime problems and homelessness that's plaguing not only, you know, the average american but starbucks locations as well. listen to this. >> in my view, at the local, state and federal level, these governments across the country and leaders, mayor and governor and city council have abdicated their responsibility in fighting crime and addressing mental illness. >> steve: and because of the crime problem and the homeless

problem, that is why, andy, starbucks has had to close a number of locations. >> it's been difficult to operate, even when -- i retired five years ago but even before i retired in cities like chicago, cities like san francisco, it was very, very difficult to keep restaurants open. we closed a lot of restaurants in san francisco because of these very problems. the difficulty now that every major chain in the country is facing is that this has become an epidemic of crime and homelessness, particularly in california. and if these local governments, the state and the city governments don't start addressing this problem, it's going to be very, very, very are negative for america's small business owners. these franchise we haves are all small business owners and being forced to shut down stores, close businesses because the cities and states aren't living up to obligations to en40s laws and keep homelessness out of these neighborhoods. steve

intimidate him or hurt him at home. i think on some level i would be very curious to see if there is any backers for him to try to get the democratic nomination for president because i just think that what he has done is shown pure leadership. he is not running over to republicans saying look at me. in fact, he has used some of his leverage and voting power. if you went over to mitch mcconnell and said mitch i want you to do x, y and z he would have because of what he has done already. >> steve: only problem is every other democratic senator aside from kyrsten sinema hates your guts. >> brian: evidently is he blocking for warner and tester. >> ainsley: when you are in the middle of inflation you don't spend more. that's just logical. >> steve: that was his point. inflation north of 9% it wouldn't be prudent at this time. inflation is through the roof. you feel it each and every day. you have seen the cost of gasoline. you have seen the cost of eggs. you name it, bacon is through the roof as well. >> brian: can't have one without the other.

weren't so secret and others were just being transported through a myriad of ways. and now it's finally catching up with them. keep in mind, we had heard all along that when these people go to various cities around the country, there was no federal aid. obviously the state and the localities had to pick up the tab. but now the cities are going, wait a minute, anxiously to your point, we have got 3,000 brand new migrants. what are we going to do with them? they are asking for money. but it doesn't sound like right now the federal government has got anywhere to turn except fema because the press secretary said yesterday this whole thing is being handled by fema, which just as we have said on this program for years it is an emergency at our southern border. and that's what fema does. they manage emergencies. here is the press secretary. >> i can tell you, karen that we have been in touch with both of there -- both of their administrations, both of their offices and we are going to continue to look into their

for four months the fda did. it's crippling. >> steve: it must be heart breaking for you because in your town, you know, people who have gone to your store for years, they come up to you and they say andrew, i have got to get baby formula. and what do you tell them? >> i tell them i'm trying to do everything i can to help. i'm pulling outline strings that i have on making phone calls and i try to keep them abreast as best as i can. and it's just nonexistent like i said. >> steve: yeah. so you are doing everything you can. you are low on the list of getting resupplied. does it surprise you that somebody in the industry that the federal government did not have a plan whether they shut down that plant. it's like we are going to shut down a plant that produces a gigantic amount of baby formula for the planet, but we got to plan. >> yeah. you would have thought that they -- when they shut them down they would have had some type of backup plan it's obvious that

they didn't. no one, not even the bigger stores have that. you can see that anywhere. and it's just -- it is what it is i guess at this point. it's just shocking that there was no type of backup plan or anything. >> steve: right. for the parents who are looking for a particular kind of baby formula for whatever reason it could be dietary with a child or something like that, have they told you they have had to make changes in the baby's diet because they can't find a good supply? >> yeah. and it's -- that's not typically good for the baby. there is a reason that they're on that certain type of formula. and the ones that are out are the ones that are the most popular and the most needed. >> steve: and, final question, have you heard anything from your suppliers about when things are going to get back to normal. >> they keep us on a weekly update. they tell us what type of shipment they are getting every week and how fast they are going out. it's a pecking order thing. it always has been and always will be. they are just -- they say we order it and this is what we get

ironically, these were the exact same buildings for instance the courthouse and other county buildings that prior to my termination, i was actually ordered that i was forbidden to even enter these buildings because i was too much of a danger to my coworkers in public for being unvaccinated. and now, they are telling me that i am ordered to appear in these court houses to testify in these trials. so the hypocrisy -- go >> ainsley: now they are not aware that you're not vaccinated? >> now that i am no longer an employee of theirs, they seem to not be worried about their vaccine status. >> that is crazy. did you have to pay for these trips? >> generally, it will cover costs for witnesses. that's what i need to testify. they did cover my airline flight to and from my new state. the two are there are five different pending cases?
