than we thought. there is a reason voters rejected bernie sanders, 1% of people say global warning is a concern. certain parts of the world will get warmer, but the united states will be fine. we are getting boy who cried wolf vibes. bush was told britain would feel like siberia by 2020. got it. climate czar john kerry would flot be flying around the globe in his flying squirrel, the jet that emitted 300 metric tons of carbon since biden appointed him. >> todd: laying off workers to invest in electric vehicles, bloomberg reports it would affect the gas-powered operations and this could happen

once upon a time, before jill said yes. she learned she had ibs-c and could treat it with linzess. that's why some things helped, but her constipation with belly pain would often return. maybe there was another way? or something left to learn? when her doctor connected the belly pain, discomfort, and bloating to ibs-c, it made sense to jill. so did learning that she could treat it with a once-daily pill. and that's why she said yess to adding linzess.
2:07 am
linzess is not a laxative. it helps you have more frequent and complete bowel movements. and is proven to help relieve overall abdominal symptoms-belly pain, discomfort and bloating. do not give linzess to children less than two. it may harm them. do not take linzess if you have a bowel blockage. get immediate help if you develop unusual or severe stomach pain. especially with bloody or black stools. the most common side effect is diarrhea, sometimes severe. if it's severe, stop taking linzess and call your doctor right away. other side effects include gas, stomach area pain, and swelling. could your story also be about ibs-c? talk to your doctor and say yess to linzess. learn how abbvie and ironwood could help you save on linzess. there's a reason comcast business powers more learn how abbvie and ironwood businesses than any other provider. actually, there's a few. comcast business offers the fastest, reliable network... the protection of security edge... and the most reliable 5g network. want me to keep going? i can... whether your small business is starting or growing,

>> it begins in california, with a little girl raised by two moms. although i had a fairly typical childhood, took ballet, played violin, i marched for equality. i like to think i've been defending freedom from an early days. >> todd: remember the woke recruitment ads? they ain't working so well. the u.s. army is cutting back expectation due to recruitment challenges. >> carley: former dod advisor
2:10 am
cory mills is here to react. just 50% of the army recruiting goal has been achieved this year, they say they will be 10,000 soldiers short. what do you think about this and why is this happening? >> cory: it is not surprising at all, they already knew their prioritization forcing mandates to purge military leadership that was not loyal to biden and secretary of defense's agenda would have an impact. we used to look at readiness and being properly equipped and now they focus on gender inclusion, equity and critical race theory and what pronouns we use. joe biden is weakening the world stage, whether energy
2:11 am
perspective, economic perspective, he is weakening our military. >> todd: while we're doing this, russia video is different. we will roll it on the screen and talk to you about it. the number 10,000 we'll miss by as we look at ominous and serious video with men that are big preparing to go to war. how harmful is that 10,000 number to our national security? >> cory: a massive number, think about the side of an infantry company, 130 with admin support area, battalion of a couple thousand. this is reducing couple battalions with the u.s. military. >> carley: china just warned if nancy pelosi visits taiwan, they could respond with measures. there are multiple threats
2:12 am
around the world. when you think about military recruitment being down, how much does that affect our combat readiness? >> cory: it impacts our combat readiness massively, that will have an impact. when we don't have the units, we can't conduct war fare we need. entire thing looking at woke military agenda is continuing to weaken up across the world stage. they knew weakening our military through unconstitutional vaccination and prioritizing pronouns and critical race theory would purge the military. you are watching military now leaving as result of joe biden and secretary of defense's priorities.
2:13 am
>> todd: scratch your head why, why. >> carley: love of country is at an all-time low, which is unfortunate, as well. cory mills, appreciate you and your patriotism. >> todd: aoc defending her handcuff stunt after she was mocked for it. what she is saying this morning? >> carley: main-stream media were the only ones who didn't call her out and some being accused of covering for her. joe concha on deck next. for people who are a little intense about hydration. neutrogena® hydro boost lightweight. fragrance-free. 48 hour hydration. for that healthy skin glow. neutrogena®. for people with skin.

>> janice: good morning. it's hot outside, that is the big headline in the mid-atlantic, excessive heat warnings, temperatures in the 90s. with humidity, it will feel worse than that, feels like 103 in new york, 103 in richmond and
2:18 am
it will hang around. we will see thunderstorms in the northeast, it will knock temperatures down issue but they will come right back up for the weekend. real relief is coming on tuesday. 103 today, 96 on friday, sunday up to 103 and then tuesday back to more seasonal temperatures. we have seeneen incredible heat across the south, that continues through the next few days from texas to the gulf coast region across the southeast. these are high temperatures and these are dew points. we will get temperatures that feel close to 110 degrees in a lot of areas and that is dangerous heat. near record heat for friday, memphis, tennessee could tie a record, springfield, missouri, this is a big story. we have thunderstorms moving
2:19 am
through mid-atlantic over the next 12 to 24 hours. we will watch that. foxweather.comfor details. >> todd: stay safe today, people. >> carley: main-stream media misleading public into believing alexandria ocasio-cortez and ilhan omar were actually handcuffed tuesday at a protest. a reporter tweeted, a staff confirms this is video of ilhan omar under arrest in handcuff, she and other be ms were arrested for supporting abortion rights. moments later, she posted a correction. >> todd: joe concha joins us. joe, flip this, if this was lauren lauren boebert, the journalism would have been spot on and they would have found the
2:20 am
discrepancy, why is the media intent on propping up ilhan omar and aoc? >> joe: because a, they are afraid of them. on social media, aoc has more followers than anybody in congress by a country mile and any time she is criticized by any mainstream media outlet, she goes after them and her supporters, as well, and basically it is bullying to a certain extent. you would think a journalist would say, i don't care what is being said, i know what i saw and i can verify in this case that these lawmakers weren't arrested -- i'm sorry, weren't had cuffed and it is the truth and i have to go ahead with the truth. aoc is sizzle and no steak, all hat and no cattle. she fakes hands. she said it is
2:21 am
best practice to put your hands behind your back when being handcuffed, of course you need handcuff to do this. aoc proceeded to fund raise off this, if you wonder about the performance and why she's doing this part. study after study shows aoc is one of the least productive members of congress and bottom line, the democratic party had weeks upon weeks to do something about this as far as this abortion ruling between the time the draft opinion was leaked and when the decision came down and instead they did nothing and it comes down to stunts like this, which will change nothing. >> carley: op ed on newsweek, it says it proves lawmakers are nothing more than social media influencers. aoc is not a politician she is a
2:22 am
polem-fluencer, using spectacle, turning constituents into fans mean you have little incentive to do anything for them in return but pose. i think you would agree with that, joe. >> joe: absolutely. we are old enough to remember aoc in her first term in congress, amazon wanted to come to her district, 14th district of new york that is basically the bronx and queens and bring 25,000 jobs at average salary of $150,000 per year and aoc made sure that didn't happen. her linkedin page, that is listed as her number one accomplishment. she can make herself the story. when i see if joe biden doesn't run, list of presidential contenders and i see on the
2:23 am
democratic side alexandria ocasio-cortez name on there and i say based on what? >> carley: i guess the attention she gets on social media, we are in trouble. >> todd: if your instagram stories are crushing it, you get to live in the oval office. new report suggests public health director implemented school mask mandate in a study co-authored by her daut are. >> carley: barbara ferrer's daughter does not have a phd. the study published in august 2021 claims masking is highly effective and cited by rochelle walensky, as well. l.a. county is considering a new indoor mask mandate that could go into effect as soon as july 29th. >> todd: preventing joe biden
2:24 am
from performing because of the va x mandate. tennis fans not happy, currently has 23,000 signatures and not having that vaccine really hurt him wimbledon. >> carley: what a saga. >> todd: black lives matters blaming the republican party. we'll see what david webb thinks about that. >> carley: disney is making more changes in the name of inclusivity, we will tell you what they are when jimmy failla joins us coming up.

2:29 am
hours before returning a guilty verdict. >> he killed my husband, took my husband away from me, his family is losing him like i lost my husband. they didn't pull the trigger, yet they will lose a loved one, as well. i have compassion and feel for them. >> carley: doren's family cried from relief. >> i have black clergy, community leaders and other groups that are wanting to know the answers as to why they are blindly funding them and their agenda when their black lives don't matter to them. they are buying mansions.
2:30 am
>> ashley: his attorney says they will appeal. >> carley: thank you. another slain officer calling out corporate support for black lives matter movement. rivera was married to nypd detective jason rivera when he was killed in the line of duty in january. she wrote an article ripping the group, women like us have known lethal risk of our husband's jobs, what we could never have anticipated was companies would fund the organization, black lives matter, that are calling for police to die. anna soranno joined us earlier to weigh in. >> this organization would wake up and realize you are doing more harm than good. they are basically funding their real estate portfolio, if anything, they are not doing anything for our communitiess,
2:31 am
absolutely not. >> carley: 130 officers have been killed in the line of duty across the country so far this year. learning opioid and fentanyl deaths increased in 2020 when lockdowns went into effect. here is what cdc says. racism affects well being of millions of americans. fox news contributor david webb joins us now. good morning, david overdose deaths among black people up 44% from the previous year, cdc blaming this on racism, what do you think? >> i think the cdc ought to shut their doors, if this is how they do their job. there are a lot of factors. i'm sorry about that. there are a lot of factors here.
2:32 am
race is who you are born as, poverty, lack of income equality is about education, there are people in poorer areas of this country. i'm not surprised by this statistic, we were locked down during covid, whether literally or not and in some cases, locked in with the drug user which spreads in family units and social groupings. a lot of other factors issue the fact younger people, especially blacks and hispanics in poorer communities are good drug dealers, they have social groupings and can be used by drug dealers and they become users and addicts. add deliberate effort about bringing in fake pills. there were deaths in louisiana from fake pills, a story we are
2:33 am
currently running. same thing goes on in white, it doesn't matter what ethnicity or color of skin. a lot of other factors and racism is not the reason. >> carley: opioid deaths used to affect rural communities now it is affecting black communities, as well, and correlates with open southern border and fentanyl pouring in at a record rate, david. >> david: it does and this administration will not deal with the core of the problem because most source material comes out of china to cartels then made into fake pills, put together and shipped into this country across an open border. that would stem the flow, after that, we have to deal with what is going on in the communities and we should be doing it now. the incentive to try, go to
2:34 am
work, whether after school, these kids are available. talk about adults, younger users become longer-term addicts. it is a market for users, they are running a business and is we are not countering with an effective plan. >> carley: the cdc blamed racism, completely ignoring the fact fentanyl is pouring into the country and pandemic lockdowns had an effect. if people in charge are not willing to see the reality of what is going on, where does that leave us? >> david: it leaves us with a dishonest and inept leadership at the cdc and in government, the democrats have a chance to do something and they are not going to, in the cities, focus on states, especially areas like baltimore and chicago, look at new york city, for example, this
2:35 am
permissive and open use and push toward gateway drug with marijuana sounds really cool to some. it won't lead to anything else, it opens the door within a drug use environment where other drugs are available. that is why it is called gateway drug. we can have debate about adults using, whether they choose to or not, legally sold marijuana is one thing, but it gets traded at schools for pills, kids get it and trade it, it gets used by parents. we used to talk about farming parties, kids go into grandma and grandpa's cabinet or mom and dad's and now they get the pills on the street and trade it. why don't our city leaders and our leaders see this? >> carley: david, thank you for joining us. great question, why don't our
2:36 am
leaders see it? no answers as of now. appreciate it. >> david: thank you. >> carley: you're welcome. are charges coming for hunter biden? federal investigation into the first son's finances just reached a critical stage. brooke singman tells us what her sources say next. >> todd: and dave chappelle's show cancelled at the last minute last night because some think his jokes are offensive. hopefully our producers won't cancel jimmy failla, he put on his best jacket next.

2:41 am
lobbying violations and more, this stems from a probe into hunter's finances and overseas business. source says federal grand jury looking into the matter wrapped up the latest term last month. embattled first son has been under federal investigation since 2018, experts predict hunter's presidential pull could shield him from some of the more serious charges. listen. >> i'm concerned about the story that came out because it is low-ball treatment of hunter biden. they are talking about coming up with right timing for soft plea for hunter biden to have little consequences. >> brooke: new intel on the stunning revelation of joe biden's voicemail obtained by the daily mail about his son's business dealings in china.

2:44 am
best practice? >> jimmy: literally the worst practice, what does a cop say, come out with your hands where i can see them. she is not the brightest bulb, she was pretending to be invisibly handcuffed. i've been laughing, the joke will be on us when we find out she was handcuffed by that individual guy biden keeps shaking hands with after speeches. this is stupidity. i grew up in a house full of cops, when you get pulled over, 10 and 2, show your hands. >> todd: that guy biden was trying to shake hands with, that is cornpop. >> jimmy: when people say he wasn't shaking hands, he was
2:45 am
pointing. the point is, the guy is invisible. >> todd: minnesota facility canceling dave chappelle's performance. they said we believe in freedom of artistic expression, we lost sight of -- canceling the biggest comedian performing. >> jimmy: if they say, we believe in this, but -- like don't get me wrong, i don't have anything against women drivers, but -- they are about to contradict what they just said. anybody who doesn't like the jokes doesn't have to buy a ticket and go. you have an option. everyone has a tray at the buffet, you see an item you like, a joke, throw it on the tray. you don't like the item, you don't fight with the chef, you

2:56 am
emergency is american families who are struggling already paying way too much at the pump, when they go to the grocery store. anywhere else for all of the high prices that are caused by what joe biden has already done. all under the name of global warming and climbed change and the green new deal. they are wrecking the economy and raising costs on everybody while the president jets all around on air force 1. he just came back from saudi arabia begging them to produce oil. we actually produce it cleaner in america. less carbon footprint to get it in america than anywhere in the world. if there is going to be oil produced anywhere, it should be right here. yet, joe biden is shutting it down. that's increasing carbon emissions globally. it's biden's policies increasing carbon emissions and his answer is to try to wreck the economy even more and raise prices on families even more. even democrats in his own party have rejected that here in congress. he just doesn't get it he won't listen to his own advisers or
2:57 am
people that understand what he is doing to hurt families right now with higher costs. >> carley: congressman, the "new york times" says only 1% of the american people believe that climate change is the greatest issue facing america right now. majority of americans are focused on inflation and gas prices. what, from a political standpoint what's going on here. is he getting bad advice or does he believe the 1% will move the needle for him? >> well, we have seen from the very first day that joe biden became president is he turned his agenda over to the most radical leftist that we see. he has got all of bernie sanders and elizabeth warren's people making decisions that are raising costs for everybody. you know, the aoc crowd. what they are doing is hurting american jobs. hurting in american manufacturing. and who benefits? china, russia. if you look around the middle east. i mean, again, is he begging saudi arabia to produce oil. all of those countries emit more
2:58 am
carbon to emit the same thing. china is building a coal plant every single week while he is shutting things down in america. they love beating up on america. that's one thing they are really good at. nobody does it better than america. if we're going to be making things whether it's energy or manufacturing products that people buy, we should be doing more of it here and going and focusing on those countries that are creating the problem. stop crushing american jobs and raising costs on families. >> todd: we are putting ton a tee for china. speaking of baseball references. you were shot during a congressional baseball game practice. now a left wing group shut down d.c. is saying this, quote. we disrupted brett kavanaugh's steak dinner we will disturb the game. if hundreds turn out of to the congressional baseball game this month and risk arrest there is a real chance we could shut the whole thing down. what was your reaction, washington. ,congressman, when you first
2:59 am
heard this call for unrest. >> here we go again, the left just wants to disrupt everything. this is a game by the way that raises money for charities in d.c. we, last year, raised over $1.5 million for local groups like boys and girls club. they want to shut that down? i guess they don't care about the kids that benefit from this one opportunity where republicans and democrats can come together to do something good and that's what they want to shut down? it shows you how out of touch the left is with hardworking americans. you know, it's baseball. people enjoy this game. they enjoy coming out and seeing people doing something that are helping other people. maybe if they tried to go work with those local charities instead of trying to wreck economies and shut things down, this world would be a better place. >> carley: we saw protests in brett kavanaughens neighborhood. there was a very serious death threat against his live doj so far hasn't done much about it. this tweet and this call to
3:00 am
action to affect the congressional baseball game of is something that the president could address in advance. so far he has not. we will see. by the way i will be at the congressional baseball game so i will see you there. >> we want to see you back out here, carley. you were our good luck charm last year. >> carley: that's right. it was so much fun. we have to leave it there. "fox & friends" starts right now. >> this is an emergency. the president had a few more gaffes than usual yesterday in massachusetts. >> that's why i and some damn others i grew up with have cancer. >> you can't blame a dave chapelle comedy show hours before backlash from the woke mob. first avenue releases a statement we hear you and we are sorry. >> investigation into the will will president's son critical stage. false statements are just some of the charges. >> there is a lot of smoke there.
