crime if they had hard evidence weave would have seen it the witness they said was most explosive was a woman named cassie hutchinson. she claimed donald trump lunged at secret service agent and tried to grab the steering wheel on the beast. she was contradicted by the secret service and tonight we are learning more about this so-called star witness. according to new witnesses obtained by the federalist. before hutchison secretary of defense she called the committee phony and blasted republicans liz cheney and adam kinzinger as a crop of losers. but then when hutchison found out she might have to pay for a lawyer. she ran right into the arms of a democratic law firm who set her up nicely. now she doesn't ever have to pay for another drink in washington again cassidy is like the alexander vindman. see her for at least a year and get a book deal.

meanwhile if you are involved with president trump they will raid your home usually while you are in your underwear. put you in shackles and bankrupt your family. they don't need evidence. their goal is to scare you into submission. watch merrick garland last night on nbc flirt with arresting donald trump right before the next election. >> you said in no uncertain terms the other day that no one is above the law. that said, the indictment of a former president, perhaps candidate for president would arguably tear the country apart. is that your concern as you make your decision down the road here? >> look, we pursue without fear or favor. >> if donald trump were to become candidate again that would not change your schedules or how you move forward or don't move forward. >> i will say again that we will hold accountable anyone who was criminally responsible for attempting to interfere with the

transfer legitimate lawful transfer from one administration to the next. >> jesse: if they had half the evidence on trump that they have on hunter, trump would probably already be in a super max right now. it was interesting the topic of hunter biden actually never came up in the lester holt interview. you would think a journalist might have questions like hey, a.g., what's going on with hunter? the president denied his son made money in china but he has made millions there. and the president is on the record lying about it. maybe do you think you should appoint a special counsel? no. never came up. the president of the united states is lying about his family taking in millions of dollars from the communist chinese being bribed with diamonds and then biden is going soft on the chinese? the attorney general is not wondering if the president is compromised. there is a paper trail, bank records. flags at treasury. pictures. there is even voice recordings. the only evidence that trump was compromised by the russians was made up by the fbi.

but they tried to charge him anyway. this is now the third presidential election in a row that the department of justice has interfered with on behalf of democrats. in 2016 they framed trump and then when he was elected they had an insurance policy and mueller's prosecutors three years rummaging through millions of documents in order to tee up impeachment and mueller failed. and then when trump fingered biden family corruption in ukraine, they impeached him for that. and then whistleblowers came forward in october of 2020 saying the fbi stopped investigating hunter biden's laptop before the election. orders came straight from the top. no questions asked. even though agents knew the laptop was real, the delaware repair shop where hunter abandoned it handed to the fbi in 201 and they just sat on it and then when the post started to leak the story out, they put together an agency wide scheme

to bury it. of course the cia got involved. why wouldn't they? they labeled the whole thing russian disinformation. oh and big tech and the mainstream media all said this. >> the u.s. authorities are seeing if those emails we just talked about are connected to an ongoing russian disinformation effort. >> it is so obviously a russian operation. >> hunter biden, this laptop, the intelligence officials have warned is likely russian disinformation. >> he is also relying on russian disinformation laundered through the "new york post" you get a sense of somebody who is just -- who has lost his instinct. who has lost the narrative. >> do you think stuff like that could just have been planted in there and been completely fake? >> i do. >> jesse: now 2024 is around the corner and they are slow walking the hunter probe, narrowing it down to just a little small tax beef. and floating charging trump with a felony? so he can't run against joe?

would they put the former president of the united states in prison. they would lock up the republican nominee for president or hold this dark cloud of imminent indictment over the guy to dirty him up in the republican primary? do you really want to vote for a guy who could be going to jail? that's their strategy. how sinister and how deep does this go? they are going to try to convict trump over january 6th without even telling us if they were involved in january 6th? >> how many fbi agents or confidential informants actively participated in the events of january 6th? >> sir, i'm sure you can appreciate that i can't go into the specifics of sources and methods. >> did any fbi agents or confidential informants actively participate in the events of january 6th? yes or no? >> sir, i can't answer that. >> did any fbi agents or fbi informants actively encourage and incite crimes of violence on

january 6th? >> sir, i can't answer that. >> jesse: we are seeing the doj and fbi openly conspire to protect joe biden and the democratic party just locking up republicans who ask questions. what's this really about? donald trump wanted to close the border, confront china, and stop policing the world. and that was a threat to the establishment and their profits. joe biden on the other hand, he wants to police ukraine's borders instead of ours and wants to let china raid our piggy bank. so they will do anything they can to keep this guy in charge and imprison the renegade. senator ted cruz is a member of the judiciary committee and former texas solicitor general. so how alarmed are you? i mean, this is going to be the third election in a row, senator, it can't get much worse than that. >> well, unfortunately, we have seen the department of justice and the fbi and our intelligence agencies deeply politicized and

deeply corrupted. i listened to your opening monologue and i agree with you. it is a tragedy and it is dangerous. i have actually got a brand new book that's coming out over labor day and it is on exactly this topic. it is called justice corrupted, how the left has weaponized our legal system. and it talks about all of the issues you had in your monologue. it talks about how the department of justice has turned into the partisan attack dogs for the biden white house. they target the enemies, the political enemies of the president, we saw merrick garland write a memo to the fbi saying target parents at school boards as domestic terrorists. said it's an absolute abuse of power. the fact that merrick garland is threatening to prosecute donald trump has everything to say about politics and nothing to say about the department of justice or rule of law. you rightly focused on hunter biden. i mean, this guy, how many films has he made of himself

committing multiple felonies? i have got say, jesse, if you put out a film with you a pile of crack and prostitutes, somebody would come knocking on your door and they would prosecute you. but, if daddy lives at 1600 pennsylvania avenue, apparently the criminal laws do not apply. and it is deeply corrosive to our system of justice when doj and the fbi are treated as partisan arms rather than non-partial apolitical enforcers of the law. >> jesse: not just the crack and the hookers, the potential kick backs from the chinese. the back accounts from the father and sonko mingled. it's all out there. if we have it, the department of justice has it they are just sitting on a mountain of evidence that the first family could be involved in an international pay for play scheme, a money laundering scheme. and then you look at joe go so soft on the chinese, let's not send nancy there right now it could be too provocative.

someone at abc says that they might be linked to neo-nazis? but, look, what did it take for us to get to a point of an apology. we had to threaten a lawsuit, jesse. by the way we are still entertaining it. we are talking to some of the best lawyers out there that are experts in this. as you know these things can be very complicated. a lot of facts and circumstances around it. we are not going to let this go because you should not be able to smear 5,000 high school and college kids and then just be able to walk away with it the reason they felt they needed to do that, jesse. if he truth that when gas is the most specific it has been. flights are super expensive. that 5,000 kids decided to spend a weekend in summer traveling across the country to go hear from conservative speakers. maybe the audience of "the view" would think twice about all of their ideas. that's why they felt so compelled to try to smear our wonderful summit this last week. >> jesse: they have nothing else to talk about. maybe you should get the lawyer who worked on that covington catholic school case what was that $200 million settlement? , i think, charlie, you could

interfere in an arrest, physically interfere with an arrest, videotape it, help a suspect escape being handcuffed and the two officers, i don't know what they could have done. what could they have done? >> jesse, this is 2022 progressivism in new york city. we are reimagining public safety. we are introducing violence interrupters. we are not prosecuting people for crimes and jesse, in the video that you just rolled, every one of those people that were standing around, that crowd that was interfering by getting in the way of the police officers, touching police officers who are duty-bound to bring this subject under arrest and apprehend him and bring him to justice should have been charged with obstruction of justice or at a minimum obstruction of governmental administration. but, look, in mid-atlantic righg the progressive d.a. there, he doesn't even prosecute resisting

arrest crimes unless it's attached to a much more violent felony. this is where we are headed. this is what frozennism has wrought on us now. new york city huge crime uptick, san francisco, portland, atlanta, philadelphia, look at all the progressive prosecutors. look at the fact that we're allowing this new progressive environment, criminals are like children. they are going to push. they are going to test boundaries and, jesse, we better start getting this back because right now we are in danger of these cities, these major urban people being afraid to go there. >> jesse: why can't these two officers take that one guy down to the ground? why can't they take him down to the ground? why can't they tase somebody? why can't they pull the baton up and say back up, back up to the crowd? why is this guy just slipping away? >> we live in a viral video age everything officers do is subject to scrutiny. i agree police officers should be held to a higher standard.

they are armed instruments of the state and yes, they should be held to account. i have no problem with people videotaping. the problem is they were inside the area where they shouldn't have been and they should have stepped back. but when police officers now are afraid to get involved, they are afraid to raise force or use anything on the force continuum to move up to putting hands on somebody, using a collapsable baton, any of those type things, even going up to a taser, they are afraid to do it because right now, no one wants him to have qualified immunity on the progressive side. look what happened to the bodega owner in manhattan that ended up, you know, being charged for a crime for stabbing somebody who physically attacked him? police are under that same scrutiny. police are also having a difficult time doing their job right now knowing that in these democratic cities, sorry, the politicians don't have their back. >> jesse: good points. thanks so much, james. >> thanks, jesse. >> jesse: here at "primetime" we are also on the lookout for new democratic talking points and it looks like they have some new

ones in the works. according to cnn they are rolling out some talking points today focusing on one message that extreme maga republicans care only about one thing, their own power. extremists. that's going to be the new phrase you are going to hear all fall. telling americans that everybody in the republican party wants to ban same sex marriage and interracial marriages. that's what they are going to be saying. i will be honest, feels a little old. where have we heard this before? >> let me tell you about this ultra maga agenda, it's extreme as most maga things are. what are the next things that are going to be attacked? because this maga crowd is really the most extreme political organization that's existed in american history. >> jesse: that didn't work out very well for joe because at this point 75% of democrats want anybody but joe biden to run for president. on their side. i would take cues from somebody

going to figure out who you are. what do you say? if you say extreme things, you know, if you go out there and get weird, people will hold it against you normal human being with strong convictions and opinions about what ought to be done, that match what people out there are thinking about and want to see in their candidates and their office holders, you are not going to look extreme. how do you conduct yourself. if you go out there and do exhe stream things, fine. they may view you as an extremist. people are trying -- people when they try and vote, they have a political belief, democrat, republican, independent, moderate, liberal, conservative. but they try and do the right thing. they try to figure out who you are. so this idea of we are just going to blanket call whoever is a republican extremist is not going to work unless a specific candidate says and does extreme things. >> jesse: all right. i never say extreme things, ever. karl rove. >> you can't point to one thing. >> in your early days young and
