actress anne heche is in critical condition after crash and current home friday morning because it's go up in flames. the 53 old actress was driving a blue mini cooper when she first crashed into the garage of an apartment complex. one woman we spoke with describe seeing the car pass by at a high rate of speed before hearing the impacts. >> i just saw a flash of blue. it was out of nowhere. it was loud. and it did not make sense. >> moments later anne heche crash into nearby home that blaze that engulfed her car. a shocked neighbor described that scene. >> the fire that was going on, the billows of fire were like 200 feet high. i know it had to be pretty severe. >> another resident who witnessed the crash said anne heche had burn injuries but conscious and breathing when she was placed on a stretcher and rushed to the hospital but there no other injuries at the scene.

not only for women in afghanistan, but for our country as well. we should not forget about them. those who made it over here and those remain in afghanistan. arthel: you're right we should not forget about them. what are they being subject to their by the taliban? >> it is hard for me too say exactly what they are enduring there. all i know it is unimaginable the difficulties they are experiencing on a day-to-day basis. >> can you tell us more about your efforts to rescue these women left behind as well as their families? >> i would be happy too. so, after the u.s. evacuation many veterans were finding it incredibly difficult to accept reality of what was happening. many of us banded together and we started a program through the foundation to be able to provide them with support once they arrive safely into the united states. what that looks like as we are trying to provide assistance where the government support

starts to fall off. we are providing with food, shelter, english language classes, and through the asylum process as well. >> is enough being done to help you rescue these -- i mean their female heroes heroes. >> indeed they are. i would say no. think there is a lot more that could be done. i am not sure exactly what it is going to take in order to bring these other females to safety. i am certainly open to any suggestions anyone has at this point too. we are certainly continuing to work towards that goal. quickly working with the biden administration? >> i am not personally. i am not at that level. but anyone who has that connection it would be able to make that ask i was certain would be happy to know. >> well, in the meantime your organization is a pen fed foundation.org probe it put up on the screen for everybody.

but let's put that on the screen, physical, emotional, psychological abuse, financial, sexual abuse, neglect, abandonment. does every state need something like shirley's law? >> absolutely. everyone does. and i am so proud of alabama. the date governor ivey signed that law good triumphs over evil. and i want all states to note they can do that as well. mike: it strikes me for generations families all lived in a similar area close by. but now with jobs and stuff like they've got family members moving to all different parts of the country. any advice to folks who have an elderly mom, dad, aunts, uncle about what they can do to help protect their loved one?
