joining. time for joe to go. who would be the democratic nominee in 2024? we will tell you. >> a short time ago the senate passed a massive spending bill called the inflation reduction act after more than 24 hours of debate. democrats were able to get it passed using a process called budget reconciliation which allows them to get around the senate filibuster. vice president kamala harris had to cast the deciding vote. >> on this vote, it is 50/50. the senate being equally divided the vice president votes in the affirmative and the amendment is passed. [cheering and applause] >> democrats made it happen even though senator bernie sanders agreed with the congressional budget office. economists and a bipartisan congressional study that found that the bill would not

meaningfully reduce inflation. >> i want to take a moment to say a few words about the so-called inflation reduction act. i say so-called according to the cbo and other economic organizations that have studied this bill. it will in fact have a minimal impact on inflation. according to the most recent gallup pole, the approval rate for congress is at 16%. >> little detail on the bill that democrats do not want to talk about is $80 billion to the irs budget adding thousands of agents and thousands of more audits on middle-class americans. senator ted cruz on "sunday morning futures" says middle-class will pay for this one. >> those irs agents are designed to come after you. they are designed to come after small businesses and working families across this country. that democrats are making the

irs bigger than the pentagon plus the department of state plus the fbi plus border patrol combined. the irs will be bigger. this is a massive power grab. >> okay. raymond, it is so bad, this bill, that even bernie sanders is against it. the fact that the democrats had to pass it using kamala harris 5050 boat, it was not 60 like we normally see in the senate. it kind of speaks to the fact that people did not want this to happen and they posted anyway. >> using reconciliation. a process that was never intended. the nature of the senate is to throw the brakes on and to make sure, i mean, this is what the founders intended anyway, make sure both sides come together and it is slow and hard particularly when you're changing something as important

as tax policy. now you have taxes on corporations, a squad of irs agents doubling the size which is probably not the government service you were waiting for. to call this an inflation reduction act, this is like democrats calling and abortion bill the happy parent quiet baby act. is there some truth in there? i doubt it. not only is it mislabeled, but creating this in the american economy already suffering under the weight of inflation, god help us. i don't know where we go from here. >> a lot up people worried about what is going to happen. a lot of americans seeing it coming at you soon. listen to what these two democrat senators, look at the stat up on the screen right now. 2021, you have the irs auditing people making under $25,000 a

year, five times more than everyone else. don't let them for a second say they have not been pushing audits on lower and middle income earned. also, let's hear from the democrats on what they say will happen from the irs. >> i think they will target the highest. that is where the money is. that is where they will look to collect this idea that there will be an army of irs agents defending average americans preposterous. >> millions of americans not impacted that other than getting better service from the irs. getting the questions they need in order to comply with the tax laws we will need that money

called her ralph. >> out a lot of women i work with that are brave and the way that anne heche is brave. i love you and i think you are such a talented person and i hope everything is okay. >> celebrities are rushing to her defense as ring doorbell camera footage surfaces showing a car that looks like hers speeding through a los angeles neighborhood before the crash. just look at that. neighbor say she was going 90 miles per hour before she smashed into an apartment building's garage and kept going. she later crashed into a home and started a fire. she posted this with what appears to be a bottle of vodka in the cupholder of her car. she also joked about drinking in an episode of our podcast that was posted the same day of her crash. we will bring in charlie who was a female editor to help us understand what more happened

that what more to expect. thank you so much for joining us do you know yet if charges will be filed? >> we do not know yet. it is expected once she is in a condition to even be able to speak to police officers. they will be doing a arrow investigation into exactly what caused this crash. a very incriminating photo out there that shows her just moments before the crash occurred with what appears to be a vodka bottle in the cupholder of her car. obviously, that will raise some serious questions. as if there were not enough questions about exactly what it is that caused this crash. quite frankly, she should be lucky and grateful nobody was killed. >> yeah. i want to go back to the podcast we referenced just before we brought you in. a podcast released just hours before this incident occurred

where she jokes about drinking vodka and then chasing it with wine when she has a bad day. can you tell me any more information about that? is there anything from that that we have learned? >> we believe the podcast episode was recorded prior to friday. the release of it was just bad timing. however, i think the conversation she was having in that podcast really do give you an indication of the way she used alcohol in her day to day life. she was referencing drinking a bottle of vodka joking that her doctor told her that vodka was better than wine but then she was chasing it with wine. she was sober back in june of 2021. obviously, that is no longer the case given the language and behavior we have seen in the past few days. that has now been taken down from her website and streaming platforms.

it is clear that at least her team was very much aware that it was not sending the right as edge and could get her into a lot of trouble. >> i am surprised at the number of celebrities without any sort of reservation are sending out words of support and prayers and all four anne heche even with the people she impacted or hurt here. clearly she has an addiction problem. it's a lot of fun until you burn down somebody's house and cops and firefighters have to pull you out of the car. what is the reaction to the celebrities like baldwin and others who come out and support her with no falsification. >> people are absolutely curious nobody wants anyone to end up in the hospital. what happened is absolutely horrendous. everyone, i am sure, which is her a speedy recovery.

a lot looking at the posts from celebrities and thinking it is in bad taste. a woman is in the hospital, but there are so many other people who have, as you said, 59 firefighters that the work over an hour to put this place out and get her out of the car. and then the poor woman's house she rammed into. that house is now unlivable. she has been left with her two dogs and turtle, a pet turtle, left with nowhere to live. she is essentially homeless right now. the fundraiser going on for her ongoing fund me. the question a lot of people are asking is why are celebrities not tweeting about that? one are they sharing a link to help the woman who was life in an instant came crumbling down around her. >> about that lady whose house she crashed into, did she sustain any injury whatsoever?
