mayor eric adams is complaining about two buses that are coming in, one of them, only 14 people got off, which is concerning, where did the rest of those people go? they are undocumented, we have no idea where they are. now he's saying this is a power grab by the texas governor wanting a photo op. what do you think? >> good morning, todd and ashley. so funny adams would complain about a bus load when i've been complaining and sounding the alarm since last august of plane loads coming on daily basis to westchester county airport and the hudson valley, which is run by the state of new york and these planes have been coming in on a nightly basis and about 150 each night. they get on buses and go to wherever, including new york city and we've known this, they

have gone to westchester, going into schools and for the purpose of immigration, these kids, uncompanied adults are 18, 19 and 20 year olds, they are adults, but considered minors as they go into our schools. we've known for for a long time. i've been asking president biden and governor hochul information about where they are being placed. they are going to new york city and have been for the last year, where is mayor adams and before him, de blasio, this is affecting local schools and communities, our healthcare system. this is a public safety issue. we don't know who is coming in and we get no answer. it is pretty hypocritical of mayor adams and governor of dc when we get no response. >> todd: why is the left okay with the migrant flights to westchester, which i should

>> what i'm hearing everyday is what we're hearing nationally, inflation, high gas prices, crime, increase in crime in our neighborhoods, government overreach in schools, that is what i'm hearing everyday. democrats here in connecticut try to deflect from issues i believe matter to the families and we'll continue to focus on those in connecticut fifth congressional district. >> todd: do voters like inflation reduction act to help democrats in the midterm? >> voters are not fooled. they are tired of the status quo and inflation reduction act will increase taxes and lead to higher gas prices. we know for sure taxes will hit families, hit businesses, we have entrepreneurs in the district and they are not happy with the massive spending

this went back to last year municipal election, i worked hard on relationships and we're on the same path and know what the prize is, the takeback the seat, 16 years, since we had a republican down in congress. we're going to change that and inspiring folks, make sure we have resources to get the message out and it is so important for folks that join the movement. send a republican from connecticut to washington and make national news, we will show that connecticut, new england, the tide is turning, the republican wave is here and we're part of it and making it happen. >> todd: are you finding a lot of democratic voters, specifically black voters are making the switch to you because they are tired of democratic party? >> moderate democrats, republicans are on board, 40%

unafilliated voters are tired of the left leaning democrats. when you go into the inner city and urban areas like danbury and where i live, the message is the same, whether in an inner city or suburban area, the difference is republicans are going into the communities with our message of family value, free enterprise, equal opportunity and seeing assistance and help at the national level. opened an ofls in my district for community outreach and we're having great success with getting activities and bringing folks to our fold. folks are looking for a change, we are the better alternative and we will win this election and flip the house of representative and get rid of nancy pelosi as speaker. folks are excited about that, we need better checks and balances

leaving hundreds of thousands of dollars on the table in retirement money, what does that say to the city and the moral of police officers? >> you are losing qualified and experienced, so much when it comes to that kind of stuff. you have people leaving the job for places they want you. they want you to be on the cop on the street and arrest the bad guy, but here in the city, i don't think they are going toward that and steering away from it, the way you have to police in new york and you are putting victims and cops in jeopardy. >> ashley: joe, talk to you about the diaphragm law and bring up the topic of the mma fighter we saw last week helped subdue a potential suspect. he was sitting on his chest. what would have happened to an nypd officer under the new diaphragm law if they were to do something simple as you are seeing right there? >> it is progressive city

council says, they would have went after that officer and probably be on the front page of the paper. they would go after them to be arrested. any type of fight, you end up on the ground, you are trying to subdue the individual. that guy, the mma fighter did nothing wrong, to get the bad guy off the street, they had to use body weight to subdue them until the officers arrive. these are laws that need to be thrown out. couple weeks ago, the 16 year old put an officer in the head lock, god forbid that officer did that, they would be making their life living hell every single day. >> ashley: jason, as far as officers risking everything, their jobs, their lives, their careers, their family life, what incentive do officers, especially nypd officers have right now when this

ever-revolving door of crime and the criminals keep getting out and back on the street? they will be out on the street before the paperwork is even done, what incentive is there to become a police officer in new york city? >> jason: none. years ago people would say take the test issue it's a great job. i wouldn't encourage people to take this job anymore. what you just saw, when i was on the job and just came on the job, you would do what you could to get that person under, they don't go by rules, your job is to get them cuffed and into the car. now you have cops that have to second guess every move because of risk of losing everything you worked for, losing your life and then you have other people videotaping you doing this, rather than helping you and watching a cop get beat up literally trying to do his job and it is a safety concern that
