tv   The Ingraham Angle  FOX News  August 10, 2022 12:00am-1:00am PDT

12:00 am
this type of action against one person only because they don't like his opinions, they don't want them on the ballots and instead of letting the american people decide that would be you. that's h all the time we have e left this evening. as always, thank youou for being with us, making this show possible. please set your dvr so you never miss an episode of hannity. in the meantime,r let not your heart be troubled. laura ingraham fired up the room angle takes over and i know you've got a great show tonight on "hannity". ry let me just tell you, marco rubio on your show like can i have gone back and forth on immigration issues? but that was the best. appearance i've ever seen him on in any forum since like 2010 or something or whatever the heck it was. they won. i got this right. the republican this is not how such a republic acts and they don't own up to this point by abuse. 30 dossier's. nobody's held accountable. nobody reads0 hundreds. you'rere going to steal
12:01 am
my thunder here. and if you go to peter struck, i got nothing for the whole let's take the insurance policy. yeah, all right, hannity well, great job on that. i loved watching that. all right. we'll see you tomorrow. i'm laura ingraham and this is ingram angle fromi a what fes like, i don't know, caracas, venezuela tonight, the web they weave. that's the focus of tonight's angle. now, just hours ago, we learned more about just how petty and venal attorney general merrick garland is that he would send federal agents into the home of a former president and likely 2020 four candidate over a document dispute. "the washington post" is reporting tonight that monday's raid came months after the trump legal team voluntarily met with government investigators at mar a lagounovt this was back in june.a- now the ostensible reason for the visit was the concern that some documents were retained by trump when he left office rather than being turned in into the national archives.
12:02 am
trump stopped by the meetings as it began to greet the investigators but was not interviewed. the lawyer showed the federal officials the boxes and doj officials spent some time looking through the material. te according to trump's attorney christine abab, justice department officials commented that they did not believeve o the storage unit where these moving boxes were kept was properly secured. so trump officials added a lock to the facility. sounds reasonable when the fbi agents searched the property on monday that bob added that they broke through the lock that had been added to the door. of course, at the federal authorities request, they don't lock keystone cops here with doj credentials. this is absurd. if this was the basis for garland okaying mar a lago route around, then garland should resign immediately. ditto for christopher wray. this is obviously a search
12:03 am
warrant in search of a legal justification. and there's not just one rat here at work in the deep state . itt took a colony of rats burrowed in to make this kind of abuse against trump standard operating procedure just like the michael flynn interview in january . 2020 one was part of the setup to get trump. and just like a disgruntled alexander binmen was the dems impeachment puppet. remember himdisgru now a nationl archives complaint about supposin classified documents is one as well. so this perpetual attack on someone who again may be the gop nominee in 2020 four on bogus grounds, it's like the movies made by a badro director . the actors change, but the performances and the plots are still lame. no one in the white house is aware that this search warrant was going too be executed on the former president's primary residence yesterday. until it was reported in
12:04 am
the media. as a reminder, the white house hasder insisted, as we've beenre reporting here, it had nopo pri knowledge of the search in florida yesterday. nice try, kids. go back to acting school. of course, they're going to try to claim that they didn't know about the search over at the white house, but they didn't have to know about the search as it was happening because of the angle pointed out last night in a leak to the new york times last spring,l the white house said that biden was unhappy with garland and wanted him to be more aggressive like a prosecutor, not like a professor or judge. ggre ogarland, not a dumb guy. he sees a message like this from his boss in the new york times and he got the message and his marching orders. yeah, he got those two. it was time to punish trump isn't he'd written orders via ron klain or jill or susan rice . and by the way, other delyth actors were out today issuing a scary warning just as the angle antisec stated last night
12:05 am
the regime media would seizepo on conservative justifiable outrage over the warrant as the predicate to taking away more of your freedoms. now listen closely. >> the language here to far right and trump's troops on the far right who are screaming bloody murder on social media right now. we're keeping tabs on the fallout from the search online, including growing concerns over the reaction from possible right wing extremists. these folks are often inspired to plan violence or conductn violence. sonce i think trump is again playing with fire. the violent rhetoric is more violent and louder than ever. bad acting, terrible writing, the same dojr., by the way, that is now reclassifying run of the mill crimes as domestic terror and that same doj that wants parents who oppose to fear attending school boardnd meetings is the same doj that
12:06 am
now wants to criminalize political opposition to intimidate them from speaking or aligning themselves in any way with trump or in a america first agenda. a this is the entire point of this exercise. if these people get their way, china is not going to have to c worry about censorship of american voices if they ever take over.ve heaven forbid the democrats will have already done their job forra them. but one thing that is patently obvious tonight, the current regime was clearly surprisedle by the backlash they receive for this political stunt, including criticisms from s numerous high profile junkin ,ns like glenn marco rubio i just mentioned and mike pence. and the regime medias is essentially reduced to asking everyoneuced to just trut the process and let's see becausell plays out merrick garland would never do anything untoward, never they don't even bother doing rudimentary reporting anymore.
12:07 am
they're reduced to asking everyone to trust the process and just to see what happens. and they're so desperate to t trash trump, they go too the guy that they trashed for years. today i probably received about two dozen plusd phone calls from journalists asking what do you think was in the safe? ze and in think everybody should sort of stop and let's just allow the process to go forward and they want to hear thingso like stormiest pink or the piece of tape autographed by vladimir putin, maybe some naked photos of milan. >> you a slob. on this f shows how that regime media is in complete desperation. they go toho him trotting out this guy who sounds like a i don't know, a casting call, reject from a donnie brasco. i want to put food on the regime. made a bad miscalculation here on the heels of passing legislation to fund thisio new gestapo at the irs. the organization is going toio be used in the same abusive,
12:08 am
corrupt manner as the fbi and the doj have been used. this is a powerful argument they've handed to every t republican running across the country, house or senate. and the monologue, a warrant drama completely took the focuss off by this new spending bill that's again emphasizing that the democrats care more about hurting their political opponents thanix actually fixing the economy. the damagein the bidenis administration has done totr our government, including the pentagon, the fbi, the cia, the dhs and much the civil service, it's i thinkf it's impossible to calculate this time, but it seems likely that t many of these agencies will never recover, at least not their reputations in our lifetime. neveand that's the angle. joining me now is susan miller, founder of america first legal and former senior adviser to president trump and byron, or chief political correspondent for the washington examiner and fox news contributor
12:09 am
stephen obviously meant the flynn set up in january . 2017. but this really is a pattern of try to get anything you can and throw out a dragnet, start the witch hunt and see where it goes. yes, that's exactly right. it's best to see this as oneht continue with never stopping witch hunt that begins with the rustica illusion hoax that continues through the ukraine hoax. the ukrainian peachment that continues through the effort to paint the joe biden laptopr as russian disinformation to plant a false story about b russian lap bounty's right befoe the election. and then, of course, the wittmer kidnapingtion plott as an october surprise all the way through present day. w the key thing to understand in all of this, though, is that the president controls classification authority. it blatantly unlawful and unconstitutional to even suggest that archivist's wouldco be able to say not the president what is and isn't classified. so this is entirely
12:10 am
a pretextual basis for the fbi to declassify this information. i mean, we don't know that. right. it wouldn't matter either way. his decision would be the final word, presuming that's even the case. but it doesn't matter because it's all pretextual. this is only about the fbi going after about his political enemies, period. now, the more we learn about this, just the existing cia and the washington post, i don't think they realize and they're reporting tonight what a bad job they actually b did for their client, which of course is joe biden in the deep state. but we had a back and forth atbi today's whitede house briefing about the president. president biden's supposed to respect for the rule of law. watch this administration weaponizes the justice department and the fbi against political peter, the president believes in the rule of law. the president believes inen the independence of the department of justice i. no, no, that is no. it's a yes or a no for you.
12:11 am
i'm answering the question.r no you may not like it, but i'm answering the question and i'm well, no, i'm answering your question and i'm telling you that we are not going to comment by the media at this briefing. they just go like this. okay, good. asked and answered don't ask,we don't have to go anywhere.r, furfurther. and biden, of course, hasn't spoken out about this. yeah. and this is getting even crazier. you know, i think whenting this first happened, a lot of people were so astonished because they thought the fbi took this action, this unprecedented explosive historic action overct a document handling dispute really. and so many people, many commentators, both right and left, were saying it's got to be something bigger than that. it's got to be about january 6th. that's got to be something really bigot. pp and what is emerged today appears to be that the fbi did conduct this raid essentially on behalf of the national archivesraid in a dispute over
12:12 am
some unknown number of documents about about which there's a dispute about classificationon, the disproportion between the power that the fbi used and the size the small potatoes of this issue is really incredible. well, stephen , byron's pointe is former fbi flunky was on cnn and what he says goes beyond what even what we think. i had the highest security level security clearance you could get in government. don't t realize how common itnm is that is classified information and how much stuff is overclassified to get to the bar where you're goinghe tog the residence of the former president. classified documents don'toi i get you there. i had them in my house, sometimes inappropriately. y it happens all the time. t i'm actually surprised he said that. well,. again, the bottom line here is that, first of all, it's really was in the papers,re
12:13 am
but just common sense here.si the president is not the one who packs up the white house for the love off god .s you think that donald trump sitting there going all the filing cabinet, the decision, the the decision about what leaves the white house is just made by by the that and things of that nature. this is behavior, the normal duehat course of things. there's, of course, the overriding legal issue that pointed out. get back to basics. what's really going on here? our cities are engulfed in crime and violence, gangs of marauding talk about that and the fbi is not cracking down on the drugs murdering our children. they're cracking down on donald reason thathasole he is their political enemy, period. full stop. everything else is a distraction. now, this is like this beyond. so i think they do this inus the third world. this is just so obvious at this point. byrontus a. but is the doj at this point going to be forced to come out and come clean on whatle they have and show their cardsir ,given c how this is ripping apart the country? well, first of all, they really
12:14 am
should because secrecy is what creates a lot of confusion and a lot of ill will in thesese cases. go back to the two years oftr the trump russia matter. you would have some leak of a snippet of information and then some commentator and the media would just spin crazy conspiracy theories based on it. and after a while you u had supposedly reasonable people saying that the president ofonsi the united states was a russiane asset and all of it was because the full information was being kept secret at the time. t and ithe wasn't until a more tha two year, two year specialti counsel investigation found that collusion could not even be established. so the secrecy said that speculation and that's the kind of situation we're in s right n, and it can all happen t again unless the justice department comes out and has some transparency about what they've done. and meanwhile, our country is being invaded southernan.
12:15 am
millions and millions of people are crossing great on my orchestra's. yes, yeah. no, no, we're never going to do that. stephen and byron, great to see you both tonight. thank you. boand tonight at the president's bedminster, new jersey club, congressman jim banks and other republican study committee members just wrapped a meetingng with a former president. now, while the meeting was planned to be about the biden administration attempts to undo the trump agenda, yesterday's raid, of course, loomed large with congressman banks. joining us from bedminstersm. congressman, you say thatu despite everything trump has been through s s, there's a new level of outrage. he's expressingug tonight. why do you suspect that is tell from members or members who i've never seen i've never seen president president trump as fired up as he was tonight?as he is not deterred. he's not fazed at all. by what the doj has done to him. an unprecedented move of raiding the home of a former president and not at alloto explaining to the american people t about why they did it. but house republicans, there
12:16 am
were dozens of us that visited with president trump tonight. we wanted to go and tell s president trump we stand with him. and when kevin mccarthy, sp the speaker of the house, jim jordan, will be the right man at the right time, the the right place as chairman ofth the house judiciary committee to hold the department of justice accountable for these actions. house republicans are unified more than ever before to fight alongside president trump to save this country. we largely all everyone ino i the room and current president trump to run for president again. and the sooner henhi aga gets ot and starts campaigning, the better he helps republicans inbett the midterm elections to get out his voters to support growing a historic republican majority over the next two years that have paved the way for winning back the white house in 2020 four, we have 10% banks.a: there t was some concern that i've heard expressedav about whn the president would announce that he was running again p. some people thought, oh, weai should wait till after the midterms. others said didn't matter.
12:17 am
but does thisbu raid change thai calculation in your estimation? and what would be gained by an earlier announcement? >> well, i think if anything, the raid unifies republicans in the outrageha and we're all hearing it from constituents in our districts. i'm hearing it from every republican colleague in the house that i've talked to today and i've talked togu i to dozens of them today about what happened last night. it unifies us in our outrage to fight back . and if anything, it paves t the way for donald trump to unify the party once again and run for president. et i reallys believe if he gets out and hits the campaign trail, he's going to fire up republicans and nontraditional republicans to come out to the polls in november to fight back against the corruption of this administration. what they've done to tearhe americay part to weaponizest the department of justice in such an un-americanjust way to go after the political the chief and primary
12:18 am
political opponent of the current president of the united states is something we'ventnt never seen before in american history. and that outrage is going to h lead to a massive turnout of americans who are goingng to say we're not going to take it anymore. we're going to take back our country from joe biden. mothe radical democrats and thor who would abuse their power inat such a way. congressman, how concerned is president trump about thiss predicate being laid? p you can hear in the media and other networks and other commentators about how , oh,ar we've got to watch what's being said online. we've got to anticipate the violence maybe worse than january . i mean, they're setting this up as conservatives who are outraged about this a need tora have their rights curtailed. but heaven forbid something terrible to have t will happen. is he concerned about the diminution of first amendment rights in t the aftermath of this raid? >> of course, the president is concerned about whatt the left is trying to do to his supporters, to republicans
12:19 am
around the country who have stood with him before. but he's not deterred and for good reason. the american people a are more skeptical of the mainstream left wing media than they've ever been before. these narratives that they tried to use n in the past. and , you know, take merrick garland, for example, as you've alreadyy mentioned, calling parents, showing up at school ayard meetings, domesticpapa terrorist and then paving the way to what you've seen them do today. e soseizing the cell phone ofs my colleague scott perry as well. these activities are highly politically motivated and theli american people seeti it for wht it is they they get it. they they knoww what's going on here. and that's why the outrageoi is larger than i've ever felt before. yeah, as as they're getting horror, betheir country has open borders, crime is going through the roof and food is still skye high . i mean, the whole thing, it's all one big package of disaster. congress and banks. i'm glad you're up there tonight.ngrem glad you are thank you so much. and newt gingrich is here in moments on the attempt to bar
12:20 am

eight . i think we've gone from seeing a psychotic conditionon known as trump derangement syndrome to a condition markedot by a rabid desire for retribution. >> this thing that this gop represents under its currentp leadership is now increasingly i more dangerous than it's ever been. you know why? becausecr of fascism. that'ss why we have law enforcement to actually bring fascists to justice. so it's actually just too dumbe to arrive at a the truth. but he might have just done so by accident. truth. but it might've or if this is important to understand that outside of the united states , everyone understands that biden and the democrats are usinger the statea to attacktt their political opponents is patently obvious. so diplomats, spies, lobbyists all over washington know what's
12:26 am
really going on . they know that the fbi hasra become an appendageti of the democratic party. they know the irs will be used to audit people who disagree with the liberal international orderho. other countries have long suspected our system with fraudulent and now biden is proving them. right here now is newt gingrich ,fox news contributor, author of defeating big government socialismf h. newt, i found this over the weekend in "the washington post" that a warmonger, max boot said, t well, you can't call america first conservatives. republi cans anymore. you have to call them the new fascists. that's that passess as intellectual discourse from the scarborough boot crowd. well, first of all, if you want to form a new fascist, it would be 30 fbi agents entering your home with no particular reason. it would be the fbi p pickingcup a college professor at national airport and deliberately
12:27 am
walking him in chains through the airport to humiliate. al it would be basically replacing the fbi with the stasi,ma the german secret police, as the appropriate title. i'm happy to have a debate with people like max boot who are the apologists for a failed anti-islam americannt establishment which has year after year failed. the american people failed to defend our interests, failed to win wars, failed to reform the bureaucracies, failed to educate our children. people like max boot are in fact the representatives of dying system. and as it starts to die, it grows more desperate. and what you saw last night. d mara lago, was the desperation of a national machineas that knows it's on the edge of being defeated and then being eliminated. and ina think that you'll see more desperation in the weeks w. ome the ice age is coming for the dinosaurs. in a statement exclusively to
12:28 am
fox, congressman scott perry, you just referenced newt stated this morning, while my family traveled in my family, three fbi agents visited me and seized my phone. they made no attempt to contact my lawyer who would have made arrangements for them to have my phone. i'm outraged m. am not i'm not surprised that the fbi under the direction of merrick garland, dojojer would seize the phone of a sitting member of congress, mr. speaker, these tactics for those who throw around the casually throw around the word fascist, it reminds me of the days i lived in the soviet union as a student. you didn't know what they were going to take from you at any minute of the day. don't take anything. a book of a backpack, i think. i think i think they're actually more bolsheviks than fascism. but i think clearly, first of all, under our constitution and the whole idea of separation of powerser t, by wht right does the and i say this is the former speaker of the house. so i've been through this by what right doess a member of the executive branch come in to a legislative branch electedle
12:29 am
official into hisct home and tae his phone? i mean, that is an act,ha frankly, of destroyingt the americande constitution. and i increasingly agree with mark levin, who says we're right at the edge of a post constitutional america. i cannot overstate for our viewers as a historianan, as a speaker of the house, as somebody who's watched this for literallyly my entiree lifetime, we are on a precipice of a group of truly evil people who are prepared to destroynd the constitution and the rule of law and who are proving it every day. and we ought to quit applying to them the kind of w questionss that would apply to normal people. these aren't normal people. they are liars. l they are bad people doing bad things and they're going to do more bad things until they're stopped. and the way to stop them is that the election this fall to constitute she will stillil work if the american peopleil will show upl and throw out all
12:30 am
the people who are trying to establish what is basically a dictatorship of the state against the american people. . great to see you tonight. thank you for your words. gig and the cautionary tale. now, even before yesterday'sai fbi raid atd, mar a lago, peter baker and susan glasser dropped a passage from their forthcoming book revealing just how terrified the deep state has always been of president trump in recounting clearing of lafayette square and his presence that day, the trump that that trump marched across the street in defiance. well, general milley madeut clear just how far he was willing to go to subvert the commander in chief in telling his staff thatld he woud not quit. he reportedly remarked, i'll just fight him. glasser and baker go on toha write what he saw as his a challenge to stop trump frome doing any more damage and at one point adding if they want to court martial me or put me i in prison and have at it, butn i i will fight from the inside. here now is retired
12:31 am
colonel douglas macgregor, former trump defense secretary, defense secretary, adviser out colonel . this is being described as an indictment of trump's characterf . but how is it how is it being described as anything but the subversion of presidential authority like a military coup ? well,mi itp. is a subversion of presidential authority is also the destruction of civilel military relations that we've enjoyed in this country. almost unbroken for over the last hundred years, at least. unfortunately, i'd like to say that general milley is an isolated case, but i don't think he is and i think he's a i product of the selection process that favors the sycophant, the yes man and really does not focus in any way, shape or form on demonstrated character, competence or intelligence. but we've now made another stepa over the last 20 years from just picking sycophants to actually insisting that the sycophants yes, men assimilate and internalize this wilkison and all of these bad policies that are currentlym

destroying the military establishment. and he is theab a perfect exampe of it. i just think he decided that his future is aligned with you. keep calling it the deep state.g i just i call it the militarydu industrial congressional complex. i think he sees hisst future there. c he doesn't believe that anyone can come into this city as president trump tried to do and change it. well, trump had a kindha of a romantic vision. you said this on my podcast today. he had a romantic vision, which you kind off have empire of the general from like maybe the world war two era only generals that president trump ever mentioned in. my presence he where macarthur and patton, he may have mentioned eisenhower, perhapser grant and lee. anything about this allegation of german generals. i think he thought that he wasi dealing with men in uniform u who were of the sameni character and cut as those men that i just mentioned, macarthur and patton and eisenhower m jus and obviously that's not the case at all. there's noll integrity. there's no understanding of their duty.
12:33 am
i can't imagine any generalr officer coming out of the oval office and then picking the phone and talking to a journalist about what het h discussed with the president. marshall never did it. i don't know of any chiefs ofef staff who behaved ins they thought to burnish his credentials going forward, whether he's on way the board of a defense contractor or another corporate board. this is laying the path. f romilly not foror america precisely. america be , frankly, and you know, we have too many of these people and someone has got tos get in there and change it. i the republicans have gotn to defund the nonsense in the military and not just fall back on. no, we love our troops. of course we love our troops. but until we use the power ofti the purse herel and say, no, we're not funding this, they'rea going to keep doing so. somebody said tyranny like is not easily overcome and warned us about summer soldiers and sunshine patriots. well, we'vey too many of them. we need the real thing now. somebody needs to stand upfu and say we will not fundnd you anymore until you change
12:34 am
things. and frankly, we know t they're not going to change. it doesn't matter. >> we should do everything in our power to obstruct them. can we beat china and a neighbor with listen, i don't think we could really fight f our way out of a paper bag right now. we're a mess. the armed forceset are probably in the worst shape that i remember since the 70s. colonel macgregor, this is a , but we conversation need to have it and everybody needs to know what's at stake. thank you. h and stay there because we have some new details about what the fbi did and didn'tt do a during yesterday's raid. former acting attorney general matt whitaker and attorney harvey dillon are here both to react next on universities. the questions that we must answer to fox files returns to try and answer the question with mustachio 2122 worth
