it over town can find relief. there's all this is some sarcasm in there. but does the governor have a point? >> obviously does. who is doing more than governor abbott and the state of texas? just imagine if texas was not all in on helping the border patrol? they are building a barrier, their work with state and locals, their authorizing overtime for the department of public safety, the national guard. governor abbott's doing everything he can. the building sent to new york and d.c. have already been released by dhs. have been released by the border patrol where they're coming to new york city and washington d.c. extracted during that voluntarily brother going to those places actually asked to go. with the mayors are saying is this is putting a burden on their cities. and it can be fixed but it's not going to be fixed in texas. is not going to be fixed in new york or d.c. nice to be fixed by this white house. they need to go back to policies that were working help control the border.

i will not resurrect all the history and policy failures that led us to that place. we were in an acceptable place and what do i mean by that? we had a stalemate the taliban could not take over the country from the afghan government and the security forces. nor could the afghan government security forces defeat the taliban. that was acceptable to us because therefore we were able to ensure the fact, with the taliban not taking over that the al qaeda and isis could not raise to a level where they would endanger us. not the best of all solutions but an acceptable one. president biden makes the decision in april of 21, it isn't unconditional withdrawal. now, he makes this decision extraordinarily over the objection of all the nato countries that were in afghanistan with us. they represented a force of

about 6000. they wanted to stay because the stalemate i just described was acceptable to the. and in their national interest rate also, our entire national security team, military, central intelligence agencies and others to include many of his diplomats also recommended that we stay. this was acceptable to have the stalemate. that left us with three cia basis, multiple military bases to execute all of that. we were not fighting the war against the taliban. we had stopped fighting in 2014, some seven years before. but president biden told the american people that the choice he faced was this, we either withdraw completely or we stay here and i have to put thousands of troops back into afghanistan to fight the war against the taliban. that was a false choice.

these photos has cause extreme distress she's suing for unspecified damages. she said eight sheriff's deputies took pictures of the wreckage on their cell phones and share them with others without her consent. going to the court so far deputy doug johnson has testified that he took about 25 photos. we can put up the timeline. johnson said he sent photos to deputy raul and unidentified fire department supervisor, the photo spread to at least ten others. and then finally, somebody complained to the sheriff's department and the fire battalion chief. so, you can imagine hearing this testimony was very emotional. people say vanessa bryant it with the court room in tears. >> as if it's not enough she lost her husband and her child now she has to deal the possibility there other photographs out there.

so far what we have in evidence at the trial is number one, 25 photographs that's with the deputy testified too. it's contradicted by other evidence that has come in that he may have taken up to 100 photographs. so where are the other 75? there's also evidence there had not been a thorough investigation done as to how many photographs were taken, who were the individuals that took the photographs? why were these photographs deleted? frankly that is very problematic. that's evidence the national transportation board could have used in the federal investigation of the crash. that evidence never should have been destroyed. there is a lot of back-and-forth here. and at the end of the day you have a jury that knows how grieved that vanessa bryant is having lost two lives the way she did her family. it is just so tragic. now they may look to blame the law enforcement for not doing what they should have done. especially in light of the testimony that came in from

their experts for the expert said there is not enough training previous picture should not have been taken. there's a pattern and practice of law enforcement officials like taking these type of ghoulish pictures so they can spread it amongst each other. >> the premise of video for the sheriff's deputy sharing some of these photos in a bar. so certainly it is very upsetting. but lawyers for l.a. county say the case has no legal merit because the photos were never leaked to the public. they never appeared in the media, anywhere on the internet, newspapers in the where, what you say about that? brexit is a great question. what it all boils down to how many photographs were actually taken? the fact there is an inconsistency leaves the impression of their photographs exist. it is only one side of the story. but when you have this contradiction as to how many photographs are taken and there's really no explanation. and at the end of the day you have photographs that were

deleted and frankly where are those photographs? how can you prove number one how many were taken a number two how many were actually destroyed? because you don't have that evidence. it is in the seat there and is being contradicted by other witnesses. one other point to, and needed whether or not this was published there is also evidence coming in these photographs were exchanged even at a party. so we do not really know the full extent of the story. we are now owned a three or four of the trail. the witnesses are going to testify at next week. but it certainly is going to be very problematic for the law enforcement official. especially there's a lot of holes in their arguments that really cannot be explained. anita: , mercedes are talking before we are showing pictures of kobe bryant and his daughter but look at those pictures now it's hard to believe he is gone. do you expect vanessa bryant to

take the stand and do you think that will make a difference with the jury if she gets up there and shows her pain to the jury? quickset is a great question. part of her claim is the emotional impact all this has had. so it certainly her lawyers will encourage her to take the stand and really she should to substantiate how aggrieved she is. how terrified she's made public by the fact these photographs exist in the public and she certainly believes that they do, that somehow her children will see them, other members of her family may see them, she may actually see you then. it is such a horror. all of us are so grieved, kobe was so beloved by the fact that he and his daughter died so tragically have to be feeling sympathy. of course there's jury instruction that says they cannot be part of the vertex. but let's be honest, the jurors are human beings they're going to feel for vanessa.
