what has led you to believe the rate is not reimbursing the travel, congressman? >> we have looked through the records of the fbi and he was never fbi for personal travel but we are pretty confident he has received a lot of personal travel on the taxpayer-funded jet that is to be used for counterintelligence. this is the type of oversight the fbi will receive when the republicans are the majority. we will go down the budget line by line purity for far too long, government agents, especially at the fbi, have not been transparent with appropriations. this is the example and most obvious one because the director left a committee hearing early last week because he said he had a family vacation. well, if we didn't realize it at the time that he was flying on the fbi plane. it is not illegal to do that as long as you reimburse the federal government for travel pure there was no records during any time during his tenure as fi

director that he was ever reimbursed the fbi 1 penny for personal travel. >> carley: really quickly, how much money are we talking here? >> how much would it cost to rent a big private jet like that? you are talking tens of thousands of dollars. how many times has he done that? we know of at least three. so, this is a drop in the bucket, but the fbi has become a very arrogant organization. they should have already reached the leadership in congress. i understand that somebody is going to run the press or whatever, but at the very least they should have briefed kevin mccarthy mitch mcconnell exactly where they conducted this raid pure they have not done that and we don't know anymore than the american people know. that is unacceptable and hopefully that will change the republicans in the majority. >> todd: the cost of travel, she is always flying around.

>> carley: that's where i spend all my money. the president is expected to sign inflation reduction act today, which really is a climate change and health care spending bill the way the democrats plan to pay for it. increased taxes pretty much across the board to purity $52 billion more on income taxes on midsized in family businesses corporate income tax of 15%. and $225 billion in stock tax and raise $74 billion. how with his plate among the american people long term, congressman? >> it's not going to play well. it is called the inflation reduction act because more government spending leads to more inflation. the democrats have been successful in growing government over the past year and a half. i will give them credit for that, but that will come at the expense of inflation. i think the american people are learning what inflation is, specially thing out there people who have never experienced

inflation in their lifetime. the one way to reduce inflation by the federal government is to reduce unnecessary spending. but unfortunately, the democrats passed a partisan bill that significantly increases government spending and grows the size of the government. so, we will see more inflation because of more bad policy by joe biden and the congressional democrats. >> todd: if you want to focus on being out of touch, which the democrats are, look at this number. 62% of americans are worried about being able to afford housing next year. housing, literally, is a fundamental need that all people have. the average american struggles and irs will secure 87,000 new irs agents to once again target the middle class. why did biden and the democrats think that they are tax and spend plan, which is going to go to the middle class, will played well during the midterms when

couple of months here or there has been allegations back and forth about impropriety and about not following protocol. and as the report that was issued today sort of a shock, disappointing to the recall committee in los angeles. but there is now 21 days available to the recall committee to examine those signatures and the petitions that they claim the los angeles government claims were not valid. and so, the committee will take every legal advantage to ensure that all of the boats and on his signatures will count. >> carley: to sum it up the l.a. county registrar simply said there was not enough valid signatures to move this recall forward. about what you are dating, there may be hope for this recall effort. it may not be over yet. what are some of the next steps the recall folks have to take? >> well, as i said, there are 21

days from yesterday for the committee to now go and examine these signatures that the government, the l.a. county is claiming were not valid. things like mismatch and signatures, addresses that were incorrect, but you know, there were different sets of protocols. the change in 2020, how to be examine and allow or disallow signatures. so, that will be a very critical use now to make sure that they weren't too tough. that the people that were working in the l.a. government were not being too tough and should have, instead, allowed these signatures. so that would then raise the count. you know, we see that right now that just by looking at those who were considered to be wrong address or signatures that didn't match, that will easily

surpass the threshold. the shortcoming of this was about 46,000. easily that would surpass that and then make the recall gathering successful. speed when we await new updates on any developments to that bute thing that has stayed the same, l.a. still really, really unsafe, listen to this the hollywood reporter said more stars hiring at home bodyguards because of the spike in high-profile crimes in l.a. so, even at the end of the day, the recall effort fails, isn't this a sign when you have the stores getting fired up about their own safety when you have, let's face it, more than 500,000 people want gascon out of office? doesn't this set up a loss for gascon when the actual election for the d.a. happens in a couple of years? >> yes, absolutely. now, gascon should not be emboldened by this setback right now. like i said, there is still 21

days from now for a review of the signatures. but even so, 37 of the different cities and within l.a. county have already taken the city council to take a vote of no confidence. 98% of gascon's own staff, the assistant d.a. have pointed to his recall. he has an uphill battle. so it is going to be a rough, rough next few days, few weeks, and even if it does fail, chances are very, very good that in two years when he goes for reelection, he will be sadly depleted. >> carley: burglary in los angeles is up 35%, larceny 35% and total violent crime up 12% per year of the numbers there speak for themselves, richie greenberg, thank you for joining us this morning, we appreciate it. >> thank you for them a richie. >> thank you for having me.

expectation sheets. the parents to submit list of expectations to the school board. the school board broke their trust when it secretly had critical race theory and demanding everything from increased transparency to removal of policy in the classroom and no improper use of law enforcement. father of three, kieran mitchell, jennifer alvey joined me now. great to have you here, jennifer. what i understand the expectation of assuming that the district since the kids every year. this is the first year you fine folks there sending this genius list back to the district. how did you come up with it? >> you know, having five kids in school now for almost 20 years, we are used to getting these classroom expectation sheets. frankly, i appreciate them as a parent. i want to know what's going on in the classroom and how to help my kids. so we have had some problems with the district in the last f.

some trust has been broken. unfortunately, we started school a month ago and we had our first board meeting. this would be a good time to reestablish some expectations as far as what we parents also expect back from our district. if the district wants us to support our kids, which obviously we want to do, then we obviously want to make sure the district understands what we parents are looking for from our kids school. >> todd: why is something like this necessary? >> because i believe that you have to allow parents to be able to have some kind of transparency because it is important that we know what is going on with their kids because they don't have to deal with them when they come home. we come home and see things different. you have to question that. >> todd: to follow up with you, kieran, how that has a gun between parents and the school board? >> it is getting pretty -- a good way to put it is tension

all the time now between parents and the school board. because we are looking for transparency because we want to parent our kids as best as we can. we want to know our kids are taking care of as we would. >> todd: jennifer, to that point, why does the district want to keep parents in the dark and keep them from seeing things like curriculum? that makes no sense to me. >> our experience with our district was they were spending significant amount of money on programs. 90% of the programs, the majority of us would agree with, and it was that little 5% to 10% that was highly politicized and very ideological. and so, when we parent started asking questions in the past, you know, the responses were less than transparent. so what we parents have realized

over the past few years is, until trust is reestablished, this is the path we need to take where we need to understand what is going on. and the more there is pushback, the more it becomes harder for us to trust. so, again, i thought, let's get this established right off the bat this is what we are looking for and this is what we expect. you know, this has been foundational principles except for a few classified confidential things. due to records, employee records. everything is with taxpayer funds and should absolutely be open to public scrutiny from anybody. >> todd: that is what i always come back to. look, since the dawn of time, parents want what is best for their kids. but the key run at the end of the day, don't you pay for both the district and the board with your taxpayer dollars? don't they work for you?

that is another question, congress needs to ask i.c.e people encountered in the first years of joe biden's administration based on immigration court data, 9 out of 10 central americans will not get released. they will be ordered removed because they don't show up for the judge orders them removed. how many of those order to be removed has ice deported? that is a congress needs to ask because that number is close to zero and these people are not going anywhere. >> carley: we have some new numbers released yesterday by cdp. fentanyl seizures has spiked by 203% in july over june. it was high in june and even much higher and july. listen to this, there were ten hits on the fbi terrorist screening data page and your life, which brings the total number 266 for the full year of 2022. we are talking about national security and drugs here.

any human connections. and now, that real world out there no longer assimilates to that. they feel threatened by it. so we see a lot of anxiety, sort of inherent in the sort of thing. if you're not out there socializing being a human being, your brain will send anxiety and stress signals. >> todd: an increase in staff concerns regarding students mental health. that is sad. how severe is the mental health crisis caused by covid mandates now that more and more time has passed? >> todd, we have the tragic increase in mental health issues in children, including inpatient hospitalizations. we saw this through covid and it will continue. that anxiety, depression, self harm, eating disorders, all that started during the covid lug down.
