murkowski and kelly sheb baca about square off once again. murkowski taking advantage of the rank voting that they have over there in the last frontier and probably some democrats slipping over to try help her out. as for sarah palin, she will also -- just a little behind. all is fair in love and war they will get after it again. i mentioned this very briefly, guy. the ranked choice voting often favors democrats it's been suggested but basically it works out like this. you vote for one person but then you also have your second choice. and lisa murkowski and sometimes take full advantage of that i don't really hate her. i just maybe want to make a change but you rank her second. she could end up winning the race. so make for very interesting look ahead as the two foes battle once again.

political following before donald trump endorsed her won big. she put trump in her literature and tv ads and echoed something that the former president has said a number of times that the 2020 presidential election was rigged. but, of course, that was the state that went 70% for donald trump. liz said i won by 7% of the vote two years ago. i could have done the same thing but it would have required i go along with president trump's lie about the 2020 election. harriet hagueman gets 66.3%. so liz cheney won by 37 last time. and cheney got 28.9%. almost 29% this time. hagueman was endorsed by trump as you said, steve. she says it doesn't surprise me that she, liz cheney, would revert to the same old talking points because that's what got her defeated. if you look at the republicans who wanted to impeach who did vote to impeach donald trump it's interesting because four of

them are retiring. that includes kissinger. four of them lost their primaries including liz cheney and two of them are advancing to the general election in november. that includes someone in the state of california and someone from the state of washington. >> 197 races that trump endorsed candidates. 192 he won. 15 losses. he feels good about the cheney ouster, obviously. charlie herd weigheds in. >> the larger proof that the america first agenda -- it is the future, and that the trump agenda is winning is candidates like joe kent and all of these candidates across the country who are winning even maybe candidates who weren't endorsed by trump but who are running on the america first trump agenda. that's the victory for conservatives and republicans. >> brian: i think liz cheney situation is not so much that she vote to impeach trump, senator cassidy did, too. senator murkowski did.

that was never popular thing and president trump against it the fact that she went vociferously against him all in as possibly adam schiff in terms of attacking the president and trying to do it and didn't use that opportunity to go after other problems of january 6th that could have been explored whether it's the number of national guard that were there. or was cops that let people -- let them. in or maybe the overcharging of people. or maybe the role of the fbi in it. she doesn't have any curiosity towards some of the things that republicans have question about and decide not to go in. the other thing is i don't think you need to make a choice if you are a republican between cheney, bush or trump. liz cheney voted donald trump on almost everything throughout his four years. when the rubber hit the road on some foreign policy issues on january 6th. >> steve: ultimately, she did, as kevin detailed in his report, she was hinting that she may run for president. it's not clear that she would be

>> we are back with your headlines. another american has been found dead at sandals emerald bay resort in the bahamas. police don't suspect foul play was involved in the death of a tourist. they say he was experiencing covid-19 related symptoms but police haven't confirmed three other americans died from carbon monoxide poisoning in june. sandals result says they have installed carbon monoxide detectors after a couple died. the suspect accused of assaulting a new york city subway worker has been arrested and released 41 times. alexander wright allegedly beat

the train station worker anthony nelson last week dislocating his nose and breaking his collar bone. the horrific assault was just the latest in a long list of crimes, including a random brutal attack on an asian woman which was caught on camera last year. wright is currently behind bars on $5,000 bail. florida governor ron desantis wants to offset florida's teacher shortage by filling empty positions with retired police officers and first responders. desantis says their real life experience makes these retirees a perfect fits to mold the minds of young floridians. the governor blames the shortage on the state of education saying it's, quote, being taken over by ideology. and they have to pay them more says brian. right. and the one and only teedz flew to delaware for an all hands on deck pga tour meeting about how to respond to liv golf. attending the meeting tuesday with the pga tour's top player to help rally support against

president did show up at the white house because he had to work. he had to sign something and he had to leave right away. he had to sign a bill, a long talked about, thought dead for a while. at one point it was called build back better and worth 4 trillion. now it's going to be worth over 700 billion. and it's misnamed the inflation reduction act because almost no clear thinking person thinks it's going to affect inflation. they basically admitted it yesterday. coming out and only talking about the biggest investment in climate change in history at a time in which many people would think we are in a recession that inflation is at a 40 year high. >> this is the timing? no, this is agenda. and sadly, we have now passed it. and we are all about to find out exactly what's in it. >> carley: he was at kiowa island, he flew back to washington, d.c. goes into the state dining room at the white house wind farms,

won't lower prices even though it's called the inflation reduction act. obviously, this is a big win for joe and the democrats, and that is why he had to show up yesterday, come hell or high water, to sign that bill and what he did was even though his wife had tested positive for coronavirus, he was supposed to wear an anti coronavirus mask for 10 days indoors around others. but, you know, he needed the photo. needed to see him sign it so he entered the room, took off his mask, coughed into his hand, signed the bill, gave the pen to mansion, put the mask back on and shook everybody's hand in the room. and keep in mind he was surrounded by a number of elderly democrats, many in their 70s and their 80's as well who have never had covid. >> brian: i think that's the least effective thing the whole country is going to be sick from this in the recent column they say the president likes to

describe himself and compare himself to fdr. i want to meet with another historian to find out how great i am. fdr it he was doing what the people wanted. very few people are responding to him if you look at the approval ratings and this program because they don't think this is what the people wanted. this is what he wants. this is what chuck schumer wants. this is what the democrats want. this is what leo decaprio wants. this is what john kerry wants. please tell me how doing all these things for climate change, something we are not ready as a country with the infrastructure or the technology to do helps our country right now. and, to me, i think this is a win for those people with the pens. and i think that joe manchin, who has done so much good in making sure the electoral college wasn't done, the filibuster wasn't blown up. we didn't add two more states was totally railroaded. what he got is not even if the bill because it's not budget-related. it's a separate form talking about getting permitting easy

actually will eat. now, another thing that you can do to save money is by investing in reusable items. things like containers, lunch boxes, can you get a thunderstorm moss. those are going to save you. you don't have to buy plastic bag thrown away. especially if you have multiple children that can add up over time. consider buying in bulk if you can that way you are saving. most of the time bulk items will cost you less per ounce or serving than one much these little guys in the front. another way that you can save is by buying store brand items. store brand items can save you 2, 3, and $4 on something that tastes great and can really work for your family. the other day i bought a bag of pretzels for nearly $2 less than the name brand sitting right next to it. another thick that's really important is to try to skip the convenience foods. i grab these convenient crackers. they were half or they cost half as much as the guy on the top.

hagueman went from being a cheyenne lawyer with little political following until former president donald trump endorsed her. she put him in his -- or her literature and tv ads and like the former president said, the 2020 election was rigged. what i thought was interesting was what a turn around she has had. in 2016, according to the "new york times." she called donald trump racist and xenophobic and tried to block him from getting the republican nomination for president. of course, he did. and now, with his help, she has won and now she calls him the greatest president of her lifetime. >> brian: sounds like ted cruz. >> ainsley: liz cheney's speech she said i won by 73% of the vote two years ago. this time she only got 29% of the vote. she said i could have easily done the same again but it would require that i go along with president trump's lie about the 2020 election. hagueman said who was endorsed by trump it doesn't surprise me

the fan and it did hit the fan in a big way to a lot of people. the virginia department of education told local press yesterday that the inclusion of those proposals, which were to strike those terms, was an inadvertent error. we don't know what that means. we're trying to get clarification, we know that virginia board of education public comment segment. what was the matter with george washington? can somebody up there in a position of authority tell us what you are trying to do. >> ainsley: we wouldn't be a country if it weren't for these individuals washington and madison and jefferson and he mentioned patrick henry. patrick henry said give me liberty or give me death. these are people that were founding fathers of our country and to learn that history is something that i believe our children need to learn. but maybe this is an error. maybe it's inadvertent error and not going to vote on it.
