times square featuring an image of joe biden. stop lying to small businesses over taxes, oo*irz audits, recession, inflation and ask do you think we're stupid or something? the journal wrote a piece about the i.r.s.. it goes through things that the inspector general at the i.r.s. found, the treasury inspector general. this one stood out to me. in july of last year there was an audit related to the failure of small business and self-employed division tragedy. the i.r.s. defines high earners as those with incomes greater than $200,000. yet over a two-year period 73% of the returns targeted by the strategy fell below $200,000, jason. there is also the treasury inspector general found that the i.r.s. took to seizing property from targets related

to the currency transactions, the $10,000 deposits exceeding 10 grand. they seized property before even conducting interviews and small business owners like people who own gas stations, they never committed the crimes and they never got their property back. >> when i was in congress we dealt a lot with the inspector general and it was very clear. look, we spent years trying to uncover and expose how the i.r.s. was targeting people with political -- for political ramifications. we tried to undo that. i don't think it's a coincidence the largest union, the treasury union, has suddenly have tens of thousands of additional members and 98% of those members donate to the democratic party. this is all -- i worry about the targeting. don't tell me if you have a small business you are going to get an enema from the i.r.s..

be thinking. >> jason fuhrman who had the job disagrees it has zero economic impact. he says if you think it is not inflationary all interest payments for all borrowers for all time you are arguing you are replacing one source of inflation with another. in the meantime while the administration is flirting with complete student loan forgiveness the "washington post" reports the department of education is working on an idea called the fresh start initiative that would bring about 7.5 million borrowers behind on payments out of default, scrub their credit history of the incident and make them eligible the take out more loans. republicans are calling this idea crazy. one said it's literally the definition of insanity. it is also wrong if these individuals were unable to pay back their loans the first time they borrowed how will giving them access to more debt help?

what about the scores and scores, hundreds and hundreds of people who are out, no bail, who are -- where is she standing up for those assault victims? >> oftentimes they don't stand up unless they are forced to because the media does its job in a bigger way and covers all this. at the end of the day whether it's new york, l.a. seattle, anywhere else, you commit crimes if you think you can get away with it. you aren't seeing this kind of action happening if fronts of cops. when there are too few cops, when there are prosecutors known for going easy on criminals and then you throw in partisan judges, guess what? it makes it very easy for degenerates to justify their crime. and then you add on top of all of this the mentally hill homeless population on the streets. democrat-run cities getting increasingly dangerous with no end in sight. what's missed in all of this is a bigger conversation not just on the prosecutors, but also the judges. you have these criminals who get in front of them and

charges that are downgraded. you have some who are released without bail but you have situations which you plead down to the downgraded charges which means the criminal sees little to no jail time. a judge can reject those pleas in many of these cases and they choose not to because they are just as partisan as a lot of these prosecutors. >> dagen: also in seattle, you are there, firefighters are demanding the city take action after at least 40 reported assaults on firefighters since may. the firefighters union head saying that the attacks have been carried out by the cities' homeless population. >> absolutely. the homeless population here is allowed to get away with anything it wants to. you have the encampments that grow and grow and grow. they're dangerous. sometimes they catch on fire. you send firefighters down and they end up getting attacked by homeless folks who are better suited to be in shelter and in treatment for mental health issues and addiction crises. the problem is we don't have

enough officers to send immediately with a lot of the firefighters out in the field. so what ends up happening is you have a larger possibility that someone ends up dying because the firefighters can't get there in time or can't get to the location in a safe way. we have seen this happen before. >> dagen: i want to get to this as well. a new survey shows 62% of current college students who identify as democrat say they won't share a dorm with someone who voted for trump. so enjoy your quarter of a million dollar bubble that you get to live in for four years if you are a liberal. >> have democrats pay for it. this tells me two things. one it reminds us that younger folks are ideological bigots and we have to do a better job of explaining to them why that's the wrong thing. number two, the republicans in particular have to do a better job of reaching out to young folks. this is not acceptable.
